I was craving for some general Tao, I ended up choosing this place because I thought it was authentic and has decent reviews. I was not pleased with the food. I ordered "beef sautéed noodles" and "chicken general Tao with white rice". The sautéed noodles was tasteless and the general Tao had barely any chicken. It was very expensive 34$ for these two plates and not very satisfying.

They could provide common courtesies like a simple glass of tap water for free, like any self-respecting business.
I just got charged 25 cents for a cup, which I obviously did not accept.
It ruins an otherwise affordable and otherwise-recommendable place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ricky Boby L.Saint-Laurent, QC135190180Jan 20, 2020
The first actual restaurant or food court place that specializes on congee and rice roll in montreal. The food is freshly made by a couple of aunties and the service is nice. I was surpise by the amount of choices they offered in rice rolls and congee. The food was pretty good, not comparable to toronto but i can't complained.
I took the xo sauce rice rolls and enjoyed that quite a lot. The little boat congee was tasty but a little bit on the thick side, although they had the necessary ingredients on the bottom.
I do no recommend the tendons noodles soup as it's too salty i found.
Their little fried thingies with minced meat in it is great.
Worth a try if your near by.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 22, 2018
They are situated in food court in a rundown mall. Not a place to impress your date. Most of the menu is in Mandarin I guess. Cheap prices. Green tea from leaves. Wonton soup was fine. Noodles seemed homemade. Many asian patrons. I didn't know what I was ordering. Not bad. It would take a couple of visits to figure out what they serve. I like eat new foods. If only I read mandarin.

Do not be fooled by the silly French name; this place masterfully combines authenticity, quantity, and affordability. If you're looking for a place in South Shore that approximates the mainland dining hall experience, this is it.
