Diva Salon Spa

Recently I've made a couple stops here as it's close to home and as a busy mom I seriously needed a little pampering.

First was for a facial....Anna greeted me and led me to the spa room. After talking about my facial I got to experience a sensory journey with essential oils. This was a really interesting and cool experience. Next I had an idea of what facial I wanted, but after talking more with Anna about my skin, she ended up customizing it to my skin type...it was just fantastic and so relaxing. I clearly don't allow myself these indulgences enough...need to do it more. Would definitely come back to see her again.

Since I was in dire need of a trim and liked the salon so much I came back to see Danny for a cut. He was friendly and incredibly polite. In fact I don't think I've ever been to a stylist who said please and thank you so much! Years ago I used to work in the hair industry (head office) and have had my share of stylists, so I have to say I really enjoy a stylist who is confident enough to give you recommendations and tips based on your hair type but yet is not overly pushy. Danny clearly loves what he does and it shows. I left delighted with my hair cut.

I really like this salon and happy I stumbled across it. Will be back!

I've been coming here to see Liz for my hair care for about 6 months now and I've loved everything about the service. Liz is always happy to see me and listens to all my concerns about my curly freezie hair. When I leave I always love my hair. She's funny and gives great hand massages too. I highly recommend her and the salon for anyone who wants a relaxing and positive hair experience...and great tea! Their Aveda blend is to die for!!

This was my first time at this particular Diva Salon, and I have to say I'm impressed! Sara was my stylist today, and she was really attentive to my requests and really took the time to get to know my hair before cutting it. She also stopped several times throughout the cut to ensure that I was happy with the length and style, which I was really appreciative of and recommended some great products geared towards my hair type. Super friendly!

Perhaps I got a stylist on an off day? I chose this salon based on reviews. I went in for a color. Even though she was very personable and seemed to listen to me, she completely disregarded the color choice I was seeking and her technique left my hair less to be desired. I wasn't told I couldn't achieve the color, or it could come out looking different than my choice. I understand that Its not always possible to get a color on hair, but she chose a different tone than I asked for and seemed to brag about her choice. I ended up going to another salon the next day to fix the job she did. It was embarrassingly bad.

I've been getting my hair cut by Jessica for several months. She does a great job freshening up my style. She has good instincts of what I should try to add a bit of a change. She is really conscientious as a learning stylist. If something doesn't seem right she always checks with her peers . She makes sure I leave the salon happy .

I needed a cut at the last minute. I haven't been able to find a hair dresser in over a year and a half because my last hair dresser left the salon (Angles) and they wouldn't give me her forwarding info. I have tried several salons. I have had my cut really bad at DC. I chose a second try at E-Salons and ended up with a crooked set of bangs that I couldn't do anything with. Since then i have let my mom cut and dye my hair. So you can imagine, when I went to Boulevard tonight that I was desperate for some shape but was ready to be butchered either way. I was being given a junior stylist, because it was last minute, but I was willing to do anything.

At first I was a little shocked- at night it is mostly guy-stylists. I have never been in a salon with that many guys cutting hair. And every one of them totally friendly and easy going. (Not too bad on the eyes either).

WOW! I am so glad I went. I think I found my new hair dresser. Danny treat his cut like an art form. He concentrates on precision. He knew exactly the cut for my face shape and hair type. When I said I wanted him to use the razor for volume, he explained that this would cause my hair to be more frizzy (a big problem for me).

Last minute-decision- Do you have time to dye my hair? And he did. He even took time to make sure every strand was covered well. He had so much pride in what he was doing - every step of the way. I walked out more satisfied than I have been with my hair in probably a decade since I lost Annette 12 years ago .

I was with Lise today and she did an excellent job cutting my hair the way I asked for and she gave me the best scalp massage I've had! I'll recommend this place to many! So happy

I am new to Calgary and went to this Salon because it's close to home. Worst hair experience ever. I went for root colour and hair trim - not that difficult. But it appears to be for the stylists there. I wanted a lighter shade but stylist insisted that can't be done even though I have been doing that for years. Anyways, I let it go but I can honestly do a better job myself with a store bought hair dye. The cut and style was also horrible. I had frizz everywhere and my bangs were not cut to my satisfaction. I was told to come later if am still not happy with my bangs which I did. I went to another stylist this time and he fully cut my bangs rather than give me long side bangs which I asked for. Seriously, I don't know how this salon operates and they charge soo much. I paid over $200 for colour and cut. If you don't have a stylist there already and trying them out - my suggestion is DO NOT ENTER.
