My mom and I love to ride horses and feel very comfortable with them. It's a favorite past time we share together so for her 60th birthday trip to Bedford, I made sure to book something for her birthday.
We had a wonderful time! We highly recommend an evening ride when the heat of the day is gone and you get to enjoy an hour riding through fields and streams. The horses are sweet and fun to ride. The guides were great too.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 23, 2019
Absolutely beautiful Resort!! We were here for a wedding and it's very nice. They have a very large covered pavilion, nice bathrooms and cabins people can stay in. They have a nice in ground pool. There is a nice pond with a walk out area from a gazebo. Beautiful for pictures. There are horses on the property.
We will definitely be looking into spending some time here ourselves.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Janine L.Downingtown, United States52741Jul 6, 2016
We were looking for a peaceful getaway where the kids could relish the great outdoors and stargaze without any light pollution yet have just enough modern conveniences to make traveling with children ages 2-11 easy and enjoyable. The picturesque setting of the operating farm with a wide creek running behind the modern cabins made this simple resort perfect for us.
My toddler enjoyed feeding Tony the pony apple slices while the older children loved their time running in the big field, skipping stones in the creek, and swimming in what we considered the ideal swimming pool (size and depth). My father spent most of his time reading on the cabin's back patio facing the creek and fishing in the newer pond at the front of the property (tip: best bait to catch large catfish are hotdogs) while my mother walked the paths and picked wildflowers to decorate the kitchen and picnic tables.
All seven of us loved our time here - especially my husband who was able to truly disconnect from work as the cellular connection is spotty to nonexistent - and definitely plan on recommending a vacation here to our friends and family.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ben M.Calverton, United States0302Aug 31, 2018
I stayed at creekside resort twice. Once a few years ago and again in early July of this year. I'm writing this review because I miss this place and want to go back! My girlfriend and I stayed at creekside because we were visiting family about half an hour away. We stayed here so we can have a small vacation while visiting. The cabins are so beautiful, cozy, and welcoming. I love the atmosphere and the views from the resort. We were the only people staying there so it was so quiet and serene. The cabins had everything you could need and I wish I took advantage of some of the amenities! Since we were visiting family we did not have much time to spend at the resort so I wish we stayed an extra day without telling our family! Next time we come, we will certainly be doing that. I wish we made a fire, grilled some dinner, and relaxed more. I also wish we took advantage of the trail riding since both my girlfriend and I are very experienced riders. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Very relaxing and comforting trip.

I spent some time at the Creekside Resort late this past summer. As a New Yorker, I was originally worried that it might be too much of a hike, but I made it in only about 4 hours (I took Amtrak and then rented a car in Harrisburg PA).
This was one of the most restorative vacations I've had recently. Swimming in the pool, hiking the mountain, watching the animals in the pasture, etc. were quite pleasant and quite out of the ordinary for a Manhattanite.
In summary, it's just far enough to allow me to unwind, but still easy enough to get to. I secretly home it remains an "undiscovered gem" for a little while longer.
I'll be going back again this spring.
Oh, and the owners are amazing--two of the kindest and most interesting people I've met.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
