It looks amazing, but I was a little disappointed by the flavors here. The white chocolate cranberry was awful, and the Nutella marshmallow is not bad. The flavors were definitely unique, but nothing that made me want to try them (I.e. they all sound a little weird).
3*'s because I can probably get better ice cream elsewhere and for a better price... like Kroger's or HEB.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Cam C.Costa Mesa, United States6467711400Jan 16, 2019
Too bad this place closed down, when I went back in June it was the best thing on a hot day.
Serving children, dogs, and adults with excellent service. Lots of wonderful flavors and they were patient with all of our sampling.
Ended with a PB&J and it was amazing.
Air conditioning was on TOO HIGH though.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Dec 31, 2016
Cloud 10 will put you on... well... Cloud 10!
One of the best ice creameries in Houston.
The flavors span between the expected (which are all well executed) such as:
Vanilla Bean, Dark Chocolate, Coffee
... and the adventurous like:
Cheddar and Apple Butter, PB&J, Local Gourds, Beet ice cream.
All the adventurous ones were tasty -- don't be shy to ask for a sample.
In-house counsel and I split a C10 split without really thinking about what would go in and on it. We were impressed when the first thing that happened is the ice cream guy split the banana and SET IT ON FIRE! That's right, brûlée'd bananas, y'all.
Add to that chocolate sauce, Nutella powder, candied nuts, berry sauce, whipped cream with chocolate and caramel drizzles.
When sundaes like this exist, you win. No more existential crisis.
"Yum" is the easiest way to describe Cloud 10.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 11, 2016
A lot of people over social media hyped this place hard. We were kinda in the area (not really), so we drove by to see what they had to offer. After a hot afternoon at the zoo, we were pumped for some cool ice cream!
Straight to the point: your experience here will differ based on your expectations and what you want out of it.
When it comes to innovation, Cloud 10 Creamery won't disappoint. Their dynamic lineup of ice cream flavors and combination of syrups and toppings will change your perspective of how ice cream can be served. We got the Vanilla Bean Sundae and the Summer 16 Sundae. The mango syrup in the vanilla bean sundae was the star and paired the vanilla flavor very well. I get the inclusion of the meringue chip, but I wasn't a huge fan of it. The Summer 16 Sundae emphasized the sweetness of corn in the ice cream. It was exciting, but the sesame seeds and the crunchy cornbread on the bottom wasn't exactly tasty. It didn't satisfy my sweet tooth at all.
Cloud 10 knows flavor combos. What we tried this visit weren't our favorites, but if you got an adventurous tongue you'll want to check this place out. If you just want something sweet and simple, they got some straightforward ice creams, but that's not what they're about.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 27, 2016
This is one of my top ice cream places in Houston, and any time we're within the vicinity, I suddenly get a craving for ice cream lol. This is such a trendy and modern ice cream shop, with seasonal and experimental flavors.
I always try something different every time I come because the flavors are always different, so there's not much I can suggest specifically. They do let you have samples to try before you make your decision. Because it is a bit on the pricer side, I always skip the toppings, but honestly, you don't really need them anyways. I would suggest the waffle cone though, since it adds a nice crunch to your ice cream.
As mentioned, it is a bit pricey, but in my opinion, I still love it. If you want to take someone there for a special date, you can request the chef's tasting and he'll make something special for y'all.
It is hard to find parking sometimes though, but that's a given in Rice Village, so carpool if you can!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 1, 2018
I was actually present here during grand opening and faintly recall thinking, "I wonder if I'll ever return here . . ." And well yes I have, many many times in fact! Usually we hit up Cloud 10 as a post-dinner "dessert" (as I'm sure many people do) or sometimes we hit it up during our weekend strolls in Rice Village.
I can only personally attest to the sorbets and I've never been disappointed, although I'm not exactly a sorbet connoisseur. Come to think of it, have I ever been disappointed by a sorbet anywhere . . .? Probably not . . . The sorbet flavors aren't usually as inventive as the ice cream flavors and there's usually only two or three sorbet selections, but they, that's plenty for me! The husband is a huge fan of the actual dairy ice creams and it's usually at his behest that we end up here. He and others I've been with have never strayed from ordering very simple scooped ice cream, but I am curious about the other fancier creations, even though I can't imbibe in them myself. Would be pretty neat of Cloud 10 ever wanted to venture into vegan ice cream territory, I'm just saying . . .
The prices seem a little higher than say . . . Ben & Jerry's (but maybe they aren't, have't been to a B & J's in eons!), but that is to be expected due to the handcrafted nature of the treats here. Anyway, definitely worth a shot, in spite of the decreased fanfare since its grand opening.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 16, 2016
I rarely come here ONLY because of parking. It's either metered or there is a parking garage (which I've never tried). I've always been lucky enough find a spot around the corner in the village, but parking sucks!
Once you're in, it's GREAT! They have season flavors and non seasonal flavors. There is a select few to choose from but there WILL be one you like. Many favors are non traditional but there will always be a chocolate or vanilla. Don't be afraid to ask to try different flavors. Be a risk-taker! Cloud 10 also serves hot chocolate, shakes, banana splits and other ice cream treats. They even have an "adult" shake.
Limited seating inside, however there are seats outside.
The the "ice cream" chef (if you will) has won several awards, so you won't be disappointed.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 22, 2018
We enjoyed a few samples of great ice cream and i had to have ice cream and goat cheese....very tasty! There's a reason businesses give out free samples...if it's good it will sell fast....the goat cheese ice cream is a prime example...who knew that would be a stellar combo!

This was my second trip to Cloud 10 and it really made me regret not going as often. My first visit was last year or the year before last and I got the "Milk & Cereal" ice cream which was good! Parking is a pain so be mindful of that. We discovered a very tiny parking garage behind Cloud 10 and we were lucky enough to get a front parking spot. The first 10 minutes are free and it's $1/hr. It wasn't crowded when we got there and we were intrigued by all of their flavors that they were serving. The lady was nice enough to let us sample as many flavors as we wanted so we sampled 7 of them:
Creme Fraiche & Rose (4/5) - Not sure what that's even supposed to taste like but it was good nonetheless. Thankfully it didn't taste flowery.
**Lemon & Cumin (5/5) - Just the right amount of lemon. Not too sour and not too overpowering. This was 1 of the 3 winning flavors that we chose!
Cafe Sua Da (5/5) - If you love Vietnamese coffee then you will definitely love this flavor! Also, if you love coffee ice cream, then I recommend this flavor as well.
**Toasted Rice (5/5) - This flavor is to DIE for! I'm not really sure how to even describe the taste of it. It kind of reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal but not as sweet. I don't know, just get it!
Pear-Ginger Sorbet w/ Candied Sugar (3/5) - You can definitely taste the ginger which I don't mind but not at the top of my list when choosing an ice cream flavor. It's not bad though.
**Pandan & Toast (5/5) - Get this! You will not regret it. It tastes exactly like the name implies.
Nutella w/ Marshmallows (1/5) - Tastes like chocolate ice cream with marshmallows, nothing special to it. The cashier told me that this was one of their popular flavors but I'm gonna have to disagree.
The 3 flavors that we chose have asterisks by their names listed above. The total came out to be $6.50 for 3 scoops - kinda pricey for ice cream but it was well worth it. They also have a water dispenser too which I thought was nice since a lot of ice cream places like to sell water bottles to make extra money out of their customers. Thanks for giving us a taste of heaven!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anh L.Houston, United States86911882153Dec 23, 2017Updated review
I really wanted to try their exotic flavors; so I came back. Service here isn't great and the employees look like they hate it here.
TOASTED RICE
I like the toasted rice aroma and flavor, but I only wish it wasn't too sweet. I would've preferred no added sugar or just a hint of it because it masked the flavor of the rice.
MANGO & DRIED CHILIES
I was expecting some heat, but I didn't taste it at first until a little bit after. It kind of snuck up on me, but it wasn't super hot. I could taste the sweetness of the mango, but the chilies didn't complement the sweet flavor. It was a bit strange for me to combine the two.
LIME & CEYLON CINNAMON
I thought I would like this flavor, but I didn't. The lime didn't meld well with the cinnamon. The lime was refreshing, but not sweet and the cinnamon had a hint of bitterness to it. I didn't like it.
I really want to like this place, but I keep getting disappointed by the flavors. Either it's too sweet or the flavor combo doesn't match well with me. Maybe I'll give it one last try.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Jun 1, 2017Previous reviewI wanted to know what the hype was all about so I came here with my sister. It was pretty empty when we arrived. The employee was super friendly and patient while I tried out all the flavors. At the time, there wasn't any exotic flavors or interesting mixes; so I was really disappointed. I was hoping for some of the exotic flavors that have been listed by other yelpers.
I got a push pop that had some nice flavors, but it was nothing special. It was expensive too for something so little. My sister got a sorbet and it was so tart that I couldn't eat it.
I definitely will be coming back because I've seen their menu for the season and it looks so good. I'm determined to find something I'll like. I want to try their popular banana split and exotic mixed ice cream flavors. I'll be back~
