Food was delicious. I ordered a burrito and it made me think of food back home. I didn't go through the whole store but it felt familiar to other Latin stores yet smaller.

Everyone was very friendly and quick. It was clean and cozy. I'll probably go back.

Chavez is my go-to when I want some carne asada fries. It's not the best, especially for about $15, but it's convenient. The amount of meat could be generous, depending on the worker, but they still add a good amount of fries, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and carne asada. They use thick fries instead of skinny which I like.

From everyone's reviews, it seems like the service isn't the best, but don't let that scare you from trying their food.

This was my go to taqueria back in highschool. I finally got to try it again after 7 years. I got the carne asada french fries and an order of horchata. Absolutely bussin. The horchata has a strong rice flavor. I'm glad to see the taqueria have improved; I see they have a digital screen menu as well as more workers now. I went around 7:10pm on a Saturday. A fair line of customers. I definitely will come back for other items on the menu. I love that their carne asada fries have real cheese unlike other places that often use nacho cheese! And the best part is the steak. You can feel the pieces and chew. Usually other placed the meat is chopped so finely it's almost minced. But this place chops it just bite size enough but with steak chewy texture! The guac is also nice and slightly sour which I liked.

I have been coming here for years. It's a quick stop for Mexican food in the taqueria. It's nice that you can watch them prepare your food at the counter . Unfortunately lately the service and the quality has gone down but the prices have continued to go up. This time I went in for 3 Chile Verde super burritos all with no salsa, and 1 no sour cream. To my surprise the super burritos are now $13.99. After she made them wrap them and I asked if she could mark the one with no sour cream. She either forgot which one it was or just didn't care because she marked the first one even though I knew the last one had no sour cream. I got home n cut them open just to make sure and she did mark the wrong one. The flavor was good but the ingredients were cold. I will continue to come for quick eats but I don't think it will be that often.

I've passed this place several times but never had the courage to actually walk on and check things out.

The taqueria is located at the left side of the supermarket. There were two men preparing the food behind the counter of which one of them men took the order.

I glanced at the menu and decided to order the Huevos Rancheros which looked basically like a sunny side up .egg with salsa, refried beans, and other sauces

The order took about 10 to 15 minutes to make and there was only one party of two in front of me

The food was good but I felt like I needed someone to tell me the proper way to eat it

Would like to come here on a weekend with a friend when they have menudo and have more people

Came into Chavez Supermarket & Taqueria for some chicken. Was making chicken soup and this was the closes store to my sisters house. I shop here sometimes when I'm craving pan dulce or getting some tacos from their taqueria.

Meat department looks clean with a good variety of meats to choose from. I was lucky that they were having a special on legs with thighs. They were cheaper than the leg so I chose those and had them cut in half. Cheese was also on sale so, yes, I had to get some quest fresco too. You can put quest fresco on almost anything, or just have it in a warm corn tortilla.

Yes, I will shop here again when I'm in the area, BUT, Im going to be looking for those sals, lol.

Chavez used to be my favorite taqueria growing up. Today I went in for carne asada fries and realized the whole staff was different people. After I ordered the lady told me to move to the register for some reason and ended up taking 6 other peoples orders. Was still waiting once all those people were already paying. They left my fries in the microwave... and proceeded to put all the things I asked her not to. Then went and tried to make a new batch... Chavez is not a cheap taqueria... The service should be held at a really high standard. Very disappointed in the new staff. The old staff were my favorite! Never not once messed up an order of mine and always prioritized you until your order was done being made AND THEN HELPED THE NEXT PERSON. Smh.

This should be a $$ site for the restaurant.

A regular burrito with sour cream and a medium agua Fresca was $18.

Store is very clean and well maintained nut pricy for smashed beans and rice!

      Good luck!

Chavez needs to get there act together I love coming into the store to buy Pan Dulce but for the last few month they have the Pan Dulce brought in from another store due to them not having a baker so you are very limited. I wake up early on the weekend to buy bread and NOTHING. Chavez please do better.

      Very little choices

Completely understood and we'll do better. We've filled the open position and are back to baking fresh bread daily on-site.
