Obligatory 5 star review:
First off. The portions. Holy crap. Not that it's my place to say but you could cut these portions in half and I'd still be pleased for the amount you're charging.
Taste: 10/10. Super fresh. Tasty bread
Employees: Super nice and courteous. Put my to go order in the oven while I finished my sandwich.
I'll be back, great job!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kim T.Eugene, United States15205277Jan 11, 2018
I came here at the suggestion of a coworker and was not left disappointed. The place was clean and the service was helpful and very friendly. I ordered the phill cheese steak and and was not left disappointed. The sandwich was loaded with meat, peppers, cheese, and onions. They also have quite a few choices of sandwiches that I'll have to definitely come back and try.
I ordered a homemade chocolate cookie to go and was so glad I did. It was huge, loaded with chocolate, and soft with great flavor. 10/10 would recommend!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erin P.San Diego, United States16464126Mar 27, 2019
Came up to Oregon to visit family and we were all craving deli sandwiches. I've been to the Carwrights markets on previous visits and knew that they have great deli meats, but my daughter who is a local tipped me off to this deli location... HUGE portions! 4 of us got 2 whole Italian Sub sandwiches to split, and we ended up taking some to go! Awesome value, filling and tasty! Italian bread was fresh and soft!

I am not going to bother to review the quality of the food. If you are familiar with Cartwrights you already know that whatever you order will be high quality and tasty. I will say that this place is clean and service is great. Huge portions so if you are a light eater you might want to get half a sandwich and maybe a side. Or wait a moment and watch some food come out so you can judge for yourself

Seriously amazing sandwiches at a super affordable price. We were just passing through, but if I was a local I would frequent this place regularly.

GET A SANDWICH!!!
I was going to start off with a jape at vegans with this being a butcher shop and a review coming from a carnivore, but the produce manager takes his organic produce very seriously, so there's stuff here for everyone.; but enough about veggies...
This place cant be beat if you are looking for local, quality meat. Without wanting to succumb to my natural pleonasm, I feel it pertinent to state my family has been going here my whole life. When my parents would purchase a local cow, it would be driven here and broken down into cuts, labeled, wrapped, and delivered to us, and I have vivid memories of going to the big freezer in the garage and getting meat wrapped in white butcher paper with our name and the cut stamped on the paper in red ink... this is the kind of service thats dissappearing in America. They even offer things like butchering your game animal should you be a hunter who doesn't know how or doesn't want to bother dresing it out yoursef (I always do my own).
And while the same classic services are available today, the place has certainly caught up with the times. They are now a growler fill station, or you can simply get a pint from one of the 50 taps and sip beer whilst you shop. Don't want a pint? Choose from cider, kombucha, Rogue soda, theres something for everyone.
Also worth noting is their specials: each day of the week they have a sale item, and they are the same week to week. Every Thursday I am in town I am sure to get their thick cut bacon for $4 a pound (!!!), but my favorite are Fridays, with a bacon wrapped steak for $3.99! They are thick and cook up juicy and rare since the steaks are always about 1.5" thick!!
But the main reason I come here are the sandwiches... holy CRAP, these things are huuuuge! The whole sandwich is basically 2 sandwiches. I rarely eat a whole one, so you end up getting 2 heavy meals out of it. I highly recommend the Italian grinder, but you cant go wrong since all the deli meats are done in-house. This place is the best.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tony A.St. George, United States6451014Jul 15, 2017
Stopped off for a quick lunch while on the road. I ordered the Italian sub and my wife ordered the tuna sandwich. Both came out quickly. My 6 inch sub was loaded with meats, so much so that I ate half and bagged up the rest for later. The only downside was it contained no real Italian meats; only roast beef, pepperoni and cotto salami. (When I think Itailian meats, I think mortadella, coppola, etc.) Still, it was excellent as was my wife's sandwich. The bread was really good, too.
Will return to try the hot pastrami next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angela A.Grants Pass, United States08Nov 2, 2019
