Cain & Herren

I was really nervous hiring a Maui Attorney to represent me in a TRO case.
Ben Herren and his staff put my mind at ease. They answered all of my questions promptly and courteously! Mr. Herren is absolutely the best family Court Attorney and I cannot reccomend him enough! We won our case, but more importantly we are confident to hire him again for future legal counsel. I even contacted another staff member and was warmly welcomed by them also! I wish I could give Cain and Herren 10 STARS!! IF you need an attorney, hire them, you won't be disappointed!! Mahalo Ben Herren!

Should have checked these reviews before contacting them. Not surprised to see how bad they are. Was just told the first available meeting was in a week (after leaving a message yesterday).

That's somewhat understandable, but I was then told I'd be sent an invoice for $400 just for an initial conversation. Not sending that kind of money for someone I've never even spoken with.

BAD business. Bullet dodged.

What people do not consider when hiring a bully and a trickster like Herren and his partner to win their case at all costs is that they then turn around and become a bully/trickster against their own clients. Quote above from CAAP-16-0000635 (Cain & Herren Vs. Jason Samuel King)

"Attorneys with a heart" FOR YOUR MONEY ONLY, and you better be ready to pay WHATEVER they demand of you afterward or else!

As per a local attorney volunteering and doing for the people what most would not do, the great majority of his colleagues in Maui are "either greedy, lazy or selfish" Cain & Herren count as the most greedy and, unfortunately, spreading like cancer through the junior attorneys they school in their ways to then go open their little office and get the crumbs off C&H's table (clients as thirsty for blood and unrighteousness in the courts but with less $ power to afford the big firm), and that is all they are bigger than the other firms, not good, not honoring of Hawaii and Aloha, and definitely not respectable.

Great staff and positive energy amongst all that work there. They can be a busy firm but that just speaks volumes on their characters. I recommend!

I had a horrible experience with Cain & Herren. They never followed through and gave me lots of false hope and information. I would not recommend them.

These guy are the WORSE! Only there to take your money and fill their pockets. They could care less about your case. They try to hit you with a hourly rate and then bill you later for thousands and thousands of dollars when they don't do shit! Lazy people and they will fuck you over on your case and not even care about it. I highly DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE FROM THIS OFFICE. Your better going into court with a blindfold on before throwing thousands of dollars away to these guys for nothing.

i have never had more incompetent lawyer in my life. Michael Collins filed a a defamation case for me in small claims court. Well he did not know you can not do that cause small claims court do not do defamation law s cases. Yet he still charged me for the filling. I had to inform him that we we missed our trial date that he was unaware of causing our case to get dismissed while the defendant lawyers filed a SLAPP suite against us of course Michael said it was laughable the slap case and yet still Michael offered the defendant $4000 to settle by paying the defendants lawyer's attorneys fees and defendant because he mess up.
I asked for them to return some of my money because of the incompetency of filing incorrect claims and not filing for a hearing and a TRO that they agreed-upon and yet they filed it as a non-hearing.
The communication was completely annoying with Michael and many times did not get phone calls back from him.
I would not recommend him anyone at any time the worst experience I've ever had. -I ended up spending money on them and actually leaving and having to give up my TRO on this because of their incompetency. on top of that I just found out that they settled out of court without informing me of the settlement which I did not agree to I will be filing a formal complaint against them.
they misrepresented me and lied to me knowingly and willingly.
we shall see what happens with my complaint.

We used them for a landlord tenant eviction. Very disappointed with the way they handled it. The sheriff may have compassion for the delinquent tenant but dealing with attorney who didnt know what she was doing? Who paid for the services? Will never recommend this law office.

Elizabeth Cuccia. That's all I need to say. If you are scared, uncertain, she will calm you.If you don't know where to go, she will go there for you.She was professional, kind, but yet in touch with both the defendant and the system enough to make it all work in a way that felt right. If you go to these guys, ask for her. She is a star.
