My family, friends and I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. The establishment has always been under the same ownership and they pride themselves on their service and food.
It's very much a local spot where everything is diner-vibe food including their breakfast, lunch, dinner and specials. Some of my favorites are their meatloaf dinners, breakfast sandwiches and more.
Prices have certainly gone up over the years but no places have been immune to inflation. They are an old reliable place to come to for quick and comfortable service.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - george s.Boston, United States6206Aug 26, 2023
Remember that old reliable go-to diner you relied on for a quick deliverance from painful Sunday morning hangovers? You know; the one place where the staff never bats an eye at your pitiful, unsightly appearance and foul smell?
Well, this reminds me of THAT kinda place. It might look a little rough on the edges, but so do you!
I've been to Brothers several times when coming to Zimmans with my wife. Brothers is across the street in "The Agora;" a ubiquitous shopping strip in downtown Lynn.
Yeah it's no frills but it's definitely kept very clean and it's spacious; so you won't have to worry about being too close & scaring other patrons away. But, you honestly don't give a shit anyway; you want some steaming-hot, home-cooked goodness in your belly STAT!
AND,..Brothers won't let you down:
FIRST, they greet you like you made a surprise visit home for Thanksgiving.
SECOND? THEY HAVE AMERICAN FUCKING CHOP SUEY!!!!!!!!!!!! (it's awesome)
They also have other delicious offerings including a New Jersey Dineresque selection of Daily Specials, and of course they serve breakfast all day.
I haven't actually patronized Brothers with an official, epic hangover, but I'd vouch for em based on my prior experiences with most of my constitution in tact.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nichole G.Lynn, United States010Jun 5, 2023
Best food period. Prices are reasonable but service is out of this world, they will treat you like family.

I love this place so much!! I go every week. It's a must. Not sure what i look forward to more the food or the staff!! They serve classic delicious breakfast all day. I love the eggs Benedict and omelettes especially. For lunch don't miss out on the soups with your turkey club or fried chicken sandwich.

Stumbled into this joint recently on a whim, while stranded in Lynn with time to kill. Cafeteria style set up, but quite confusing on how things are priced and how to order. You basically tell them what you want and then someone rings you up on a seperate register. Ordered a Reuben and it was decent, but super sloppy. The place seems to cater to the senior community, judging by the amount of old timers that were enjoying meals inside. Would maybe try it again if I'm in the area, but there wasn't anything special about the experience. Kind people working here. No disrespect.

My favorite place in Lynn. super close to the train station. It is a home style diner that i love. They have food displayed in large trays behind the counter and you can pick you plates. We got the lamb leg dinner plate with sides of corn and mashed potato. The lamb leg was cooked to perfection! super tender and juicy.
Plus the owner is the sweetest soul on earth! He is super friendly and chatty. He learned that we came from Boston to see stars in Nahant and he ended up giving us lots of insights of where to go! Will definitely come back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dan U.Franklin, United States11164288Feb 22, 2020
I love how CHEAP this place Chris's for good food. The place is packed with locals and so much food !!! I ordered a rueben and I watched it being made on the grill. It's a cafeteria line you wait til it's done and pay and sit down !

If hungry is what you are... And you want to fill the void with a heavy home-style meal whether it be a hearty breakfast or a meal like grandma use to make Brothers would be the place that fulfills your emptiness.
Located in downtown Lynn for more years than I can remember, George and his crew have been on the money on every sandwich, salad, breakfast or dinner I've had.
The food is not fancy and is served cafeteria style. You basically get in line like high school and grab a tray, your silverware and wait your turn to give your order from behind a counter . Everything is plated right in front of you. The salad bar is first, and they pile it high, next is the deli meats and grill and at the finish there are trays of dinners waiting to be viewed.
Once you give your order it is usually a minute or two that's it, to plate your entire meal with chooses of sides, Then down the tray bars and a quick turn for your soups, breads, deserts and drinks. And finally to the girls who cash you out. Quick and easy!!!
Once paid, you get to search out your perfect table as it is general seating here..
After you have enjoyed your meal, you just leave the dirty dishes etc on the table and they have a crew cleaning tables as fast as you get up...
This is a very popular place for all the locals and people who work downtown. There are always police, firefighters, workmen of all kinds, executives, judges, and homeless there all day, like one large local gathering spot.
The average breakfast is under $10. and the average dinners are about $12. No matter the order, you will leave full !!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0Jan 11, 2017Previous reviewMe and the guys we frequent brothers quite often for lunch sometimes breakfast it's always good but today I had to write a review because my lunch was just fabulous!
I ordered the Reuben and I've had it many times before. Today I opted to have my Reuben made on dark rye with a few extra pickles and a side of fries.
I'm not exactly sure what was different today than any other day but this Reuben just melted in my mouth. It had the perfect amount of crunch from the toast as they usually make it on the grill it was just different today, the corned beef was so juicy and tender mixed with the sauce and the sauerkraut it was amazing and as always the steak fries were good and the pickles they had a little Extra crunch and snap to them today?
Overall it was an awesome sandwich.
A very delightful surprise. - Joel S.East Hampstead, United States223Mar 5, 2020
