I recommend Blo on Yonge street to my sister visiting from out of province. 25 minutes after my sister appointment they finally took her to wash her hair. Then they left her in the chair for 1/2 hour with soaking wet hair while they had their lunch. A simply wash and blow out for medium hair took over 2 hours. Utterly ridiculous. I will never recommend this place again .

I am just so dissatisfied with this experience at Blo King West. I arrived a couple of minutes late, which I had notified the owner about. When I did get there, there was only one staff member and she didn't even acknowledge me entering. She was still helping the previous guest with a membership problem which took about ten minutes.
When she finished with that guest, she told me it was time to wash my hair and she did, seemed very rushed. When she was done I was told to sit in her chair, and she said 'what would you like?' without even showing me the lookbook, so I asked for it. I told her what I would like, and she started working on my hair. At this point she has made zero effort to get to know even my name which was frustrating to me.
The store music stopped after five minutes into my appointment and then the stylist didn't go to put anything else on. This left the salon dead silent and made the appointment so uncomfortable for me because my service provider wasn't even speaking to me. I wasn't asked how I wanted my bangs blown, so I left with very puffy 60's bangs.
I had a photoshoot at 6pm this day, and the bangs seemed to calm down a little after about an hour.

I had been trying to get in touch with them since I woke up, I finally got in touch with them at 9:45am where I told them I had woken up with a 103 degree fever and I was extremely sick so I had to cancel my appointment that was scheduled for the evening. I was told "you will be charged the cancellation fee which is $60". When I said, "I did not plan to wake up sick, can I reschedule and not pay a fee for something out of my control? You can clearly hear it in my voice.. you want me to come get everyone sick?" I got the response "sorry that's how it is, so we will see you at 6:30 then?"
Especially given the fact that people do not want sick people around them and spreading germs, at this holiday season time more than ever, I was disgusted.
I have never in my life dealt with more unprofessional, disingenuous and outright selfish business people. They have zero compassion for their clients, and obviously their staff, based on their practices.

Good morning Sienna, we are sorry you were upset about your experience yesterday. We do require 24 hours for any cancellation. If someone does not cancel within 24 hours it is a $25 charge. It is a minimal fee to compensate the stylists for being there. We try to be consistent with our policies to protect our guests and our staff. Management is happy to reach out to discuss your situation further.

I had a horrible experience. I called to book an appointment for blow outs for myself and two friends plus I wanted makeup services. On the phone the customer service representative was so kind and recommended I get the membership since it was my birthday and I had two friends coming with me. She assured me I could book for them and transfer my credits as long as I booked under my name and was with them. Plus she said being a member is get all these great perks and extra discounts.
Me and my friends show up we get our hair and my makeup is done.
Not only would they not honour my membership credits they wouldn't honour any discounts nor provide a receipt. At the salon I called the dispatch was placed on hold and finally they said they should honour atleast one credit ( was still annoyed but whatever). The lady working the computer argued with dispatch then hung up. Nothing was resolved. Her argument was I could book for friends but not transfer credits, how does that make sense..... I also made all of these appointments over the phone in order to make sure they were done properly. It was my birthday and we were already running late because they were 20minutes late with one of our appointments. I also did the math on my total and I was WAY overcharged. The lady working the computer was beyond rude. They also were running behind and made one of my guests wait over 20minutes for her appointment. Good morning Katryna, sorry you were not satisfied with your visit. Memberships are not interchangeable just like a gym membership that can not be shared. This is standard in the industry.

Basically the experience was 'meh'. I have a cast on my hand so I decided to get a blowout - but I definitely would NOT use this location for a special event. She double shampooed my hair even though I asked her not to - didn't really bother to condition it - even though I specified my hair dries out easily. Actually rolled her eyes when I requested a heat protector spray before heat styling.... Basically my hair is flat on top - with some half-hearted curls on the bottom and feels dried out.

Be later for a few min. They didn't tell me anything while I was on the phone. Once I arrived, the lady at the front desk with a terrible attitude told me very rudely that they can't take me because I'm late for 10 min!!!!!!!!!!! while I already called them. She could have told me over the phone so I don't kill myself to get there plus as a regular customer, that's not what I was expecting to hear. They told me they can do a dry style without washing !!!!!! Why no one told me over the phone !!!!! I spent a lot of money at this place almost every week by going there however, the customer service is way lower than the standard. I don't recommend this place at all. this is the second time I have bad experience with customer service. The first time the manager called me and we sorted it out but I won't go to this place again and I won't recommend it to anyone else !! They just care about timing and charging people. Any service has some sort of grace time for its customers, not every single appointment is made on time. Especially when you inform them of your delay !!!

Good morning Sharon, we are sorry you were not happy with your experience at our salon. Our policy requires guests to arrive five minutes before their appointment to check in. If the guest is 10 minutes late or more, it is up to the stylist to decide if she can do the full service in the time they gave left (service is 45 minutes long). We present several options to the guest in the situation when they are late. On a busy day stylists have back-to-back appointments and if one guest is late it can affect them being late for other customers. Management is happy to reach out to discuss this further.
May 9, 2022Previous reviewI was there on Friday May 6,2022 for a simple blow dry. The lady who called Zohi, did my hair. I asked her to wash my hair with Olaplex. After she finished, she charged me $120 plus tax. when I asked her why you charged me so much as I am a regular customer, and I am aware of the prices, she responded it was a treatment. I knew the price for a simple blow dry was 49$ and shampooing with Olaplex was only 20$ more. I didn't argue with her, I paid the fee, and left the place. However, I did my research, and I called another branch to find out how much is the extra fee, I realized that I was right, and they overcharged me. I called them two times and explained the issue, they took my info to call me back, but no one has called me so far. In fact, on Saturday morning, I stopped by the salon and explained the issue for the third time, the woman, Zohi came to me and very rudely telling me that it was a treatment and I had to pay extra 69$. I explained to her, that it was not a treatment as I didn't sit for a min for that. Another lady comes to the table to sort out the problem, while she was talking to Zohi over the problem, I emphasized to her that it was not a treatment and she overcharged me. Zohi very rudely turning her head to me and telling me " I am talking to her" with such an attitude in a way her colleagues felt bad and apologized me. I am very annoyed for the customer service and the fact that they ignored my 2 times call and going there personally asking for refund for the extra charged. Until now, no one has taken care of this issue. I am very disappointed for the service especially for someone who is going there as a regular customer.

GIRLIES DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. I didn't read the reviews before booking and I feel like I wasted $70 coming here. From the moment I walked in I knew I was in for an interesting experience. I was the first appointment of the day and when I walked in 3 employees looked at me like I had seven heads. I was taken to the chair for the wash and wasn't even told my stylists name or asked a simple "how is your day going" ... I WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE. When the wash was over, the stylist put a towel around my head and said "get up" and ushered me towards the salon chair. I was counting down the minutes until I could leave. There was no small talk and just really bad vibes. It was my birthday so I thought I would treat myself. NEVER AGAIN - spend your money at a proper salon!!

I was at Blo dry bar today and this was my first experience. The decor is lovely and very minimalist, the location is easy to find and the the products and appliances are all excellent top of the line quality!
Now for the bad...
- there was really no warm reception when we showed up
- the ladies didn't ask if it was our first experience, nor did they go through the menu, they got us to sit and asked what we wanted
- I had a blonde lady with long hair in a braid who I found to be cold, as if she was having a bad day
- I found the shampoo uncomfortable as her nails were long like daggers and she blew at my hair and brushed it as if she was trying to speed right through. She did not tell me her name or ask mine.
- the place was poorly lit and I expected a warmer reception and experience as the place is pretty pricey
They also did not let my friend use bet tab for us both which other locations have allowed.

I love Blo in Annapolis, MD, so I was happy to find out there was a Blo within ten minutes of my hotel in Toronto. This salon does not compare. Very disappointing. Showed up 10 minutes early for my 4:45 appt as directed. Barely received a greeting and had to get someone's attention after waiting 15 minutes. She shrugged and said no one was ready to take me and that it would be at least another 10 minutes.

I sincerely wish I had read the reviews before I went here! From start to finish this was a terrible experience!
I had a really important work party to go to so I thought I'd splurge and get a blow out. This was my first experience but I'd heard so many people rave about getting them done, and particularly about this company.
First, I booked over the phone, verified multiple times the date and time. Turns out she booked me in for the wrong day. Once I realized that I called multiple times, left multiple voicemails to try and rectify the appt. I got no calls back. I finally rebooked online with no issues.
Once at the appt I got greeted by a friendly receptionist, and then it was all downhill from there. My stylist was not friendly, did not talk to me at all. She didn't go over styles at all, I had to pull out my phone and look through the website. I even asked her for style advice and got a couple shrugs. She clearly didn't care at all. Once she actually did my hair though it was terrible! She literally did a few ringlets with a flat iron(not at all like style I asked for). I could have done a better job! It looked flat and lifeless, she didn't even know how to style my bangs. I tried to continually ask her to fix things but it was a mess. I left so disappointed.
