It was our visit yesterday and my kids had a lot of fun. The temperature there was comfortable. Before we went in, we worried that it might be too stuffy for us to walk around with our parkas.

'Lorikeet Encounter' was our favorite favorite and I like how even though there was a line up, the staff didn't hurry us. I would suggest to get there earlier before they got filled by all the other kids with nector. It was so cool to see a lot of beautiful birds up close. We also love the part when the staff was making Macaws to speak and do all kinds of things to us. They're so smart!

      Highly recommended!

I'm really not sure how to rate Bird Kingdom. There are parts of it that are really amazing. The main aviary is huge and you do get to gaze upon all the different birds in all their splendor. There are signs throughout that get you acquainted with the birds that you might run in to. There is a path set out so you can't really wander off. You can get really close to the birds. Frankly you can get way too close. It would be a straight up lie to say that the birds aren't stressed by this. I saw several people trying to touch the birds (some did successfully) and encouraged their children to chase them. I'm sure this causes the birds a huge amount of distress and I really wish there were more staff on hand to protect the birds because it's not like they can fly away from it since well, they're caged. This was my main gripe about the whole place.

On the same level as the main aviary are the lorikeets that you can hold and feed. This is in a separate caged area and there is a handler present who will give you some nectar to hold in a cup and to encourage the clingier birds to part ways with you when you're ready to go. Inevitably you'll get some sort of bird poop on you and they have bathrooms located inside the main aviary which is very convenient.

There are a few other rooms. One of them is the small bird aviary. It's a smaller room and these birds are more mobile. These ones are more well protected than the bigger birds that aren't able to nimbly fly away when chased by aggressive children. Another room has some reptiles and birds that you can pose with for pictures (there is a handler present for this).

Then there are some parts that are bordering on Ripley's level of tacky. The walk through of the Niagara Museum was just that. I'm really not sure of the targeted audience for this section because for adults it was not that interesting and for children, well, the same.

In terms of amenities, there were bathrooms between the rooms in well thought out places. There's a small cafe that seemed to be open after lunch. They have their own parking lot but you need to pay to park. There's also a gift store that you wind up walking through when you exit Bird Kingdom.

All in all the birds are really incredible to watch. I just wish they were kept in better conditions.

A great place to go as an outing as a family or with kids. My daughter zoomed all around here and we fed the lorikeets which was included - hubby got pooped on - also free of charge

A really pretty place with lots to see and explore.

There is a multilevel parking lot you can use (rather cheap rate). Once you get inside, there is a nice gift shop and ticket booth. Head upstairs and you'll find much more than just a bunch of birds.

There are several different rooms with different sorts of animal habitats. Night, jungle, temperate, etc. They have some reptiles to keep things interesting as well. But make no mistake, they have a lot of different birds.

Blue birds, red birds, yellow birds, green birds, orange birds. Lots of fun and different birds.

If you like birds, you've probably already been here but if you have not. It is a great place to discover new animals and take some nice photos.

My mother and I took my grandfather here while on vacation to see Niagara Falls. We were expecting a small and drab bird exhibit. We were blown away by the childlike and realistic decor. I felt like I was on a real life set of Jumanji. I felt like at any corner I'd be face to fAce with Robin Williams! There were many different types of birds (and creepy crawlies) on display and many times freely roaming around the room I was able to get up close and realistic shots of the birds and get some close encounters with the as they flew right over my head. There was even an interactive exhibit where you could hold a bird and get a photo with it. And some of the birds did tricks like waving and saying hello!!!!
I was happily surpriser by bIrd kingdom and will happily return when I visit Niagara Falls again!

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from NOTL. It was highly recommended to us by our host at our B&B and being that it was on our way home, we made the stop! You had to pay to park but the fee was not bad for a 2 hour time period. Based on the outside of the building, my impression was that it was meant for children and families. The price to get in to the facility was more than I expected but I believe it was comparable with other aviaries and animal exhibits.

There were several floors throughout the building that featured different setups based on the variety of animals and birds. The first floor contained an old museum that provided a history of events that took place at the falls and surrounding area. Next, there was a room filled with reptiles such as snakes, turtles, and lizards along with some exotic birds such as parrots and cockatoos. We then walked into a small open aviary that contained some of your everyday birds. They would swoop close to your face or you would turn and be looking a bird straight in the eye- so watch out! Finally, the last floor contained "Discover the Kingdom", the worlds largest indoor aviary where exotic birds are able to fly freely in a rainforest setting. This is where most of the guests were, many equipped with cameras and a variety of lens in an effort to catch the creatures and the colors.

This was a nice stop on our way home. It was educational, provided an opportunity for guests to interact with wildlife, and displayed exotic creatures for guests to admire.

Most of the birds are very sad and yearning for freedom. Also they only had one budgie... I was expecting dozens of budgies because they could thrive in that environment. The saddest animals were the owl - the owl enclosure should be criminal... and the toucans looked unhealthy and stressed. I didn't take pictures of the sad birds because it was too depressing.

      We loved this place!

On our last day vaycay in Niagara we made this our last venture before the drive back to DE. And was totally worth it!!

First go to their webpage ( http://www.birdkingdom.ca/ ) & print the $2.00 of coupon, you only have to print 1 b/c only 1 coupon per group is required.

Being an animal/nature lover anything that gives me the opportunity to be "close to nature" and yet safe for them and us is fantastic! It houses birds and reptiles so be prepared for it to be warm and a bit humid.

Walking through at first i wasn't sure what to expect but i was delighted. They have the tortoises roaming freely outside their pen(but free to access the pen and water/food). Once you get through the "museum-like" sections you enter a small aviary with small finches, after that you keep going through till you enter the main large aviary. It is so nice, their are plants, water falls, a Japanese house, small fish/koi pond, the architectural displays are all amazing and look great; i love how you can walk thru them like you are in the jungles of South America. They have a caged area where you can pay to feed nectar to the beautiful lorikeets, but beware they will poop on you!

OVER ALL: Worth the admission! Giving this place 4 starts, i want to say 4.5 but the other sections besides the aviary could use some work/engaging features. The bathrooms were clean, we came early so plenty of parking, i like how they had dino/bird foot steps that you follow to get thru the place. Very nice how the first aviary w reptiles had keepers who educate us about the different types of parrots present. The restaurant inside serves almost worse than public school lunches for steep prices, but hey you have to make a living off tourist right? If in Niagara again we will return.

The signs say largest aviary in the world????????
Since I love aviary's and aquariums and zoo's.
My daughter and I decided to give it a shot.
I see a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews from fellow yelpers and I was very disappointed overall.
First off I am from Pittsburgh, Pa which has the most amazing aviary I have ever been too in my life.
I would say the entire Bird Kingdom could fit in the main room of the Pittsburgh aviary.
Bird Kingdom is definitely not the worlds largest aviary, Not by far.
I found the aviary to be subpar overall.
The big room where most of the birds are is basically the only good room in the building.
I would say one of the best things to do was feed the lorikeet birds.
It is part of the admission and can be a line.
It is worth the wait as it is great when all the birds fly onto you to feed.
One thing I did not like was that they did not let you take your own photos in the lorikeet area only the staff took pictures and you could buy them downstairs when leaving.
I would not go back again and unfortunately do not recommend this aviary to others.
I give it 3 stars but it really deserves 2.
