Absolutely useless, went to Plymouth location to get a battery for a Samsung phone of course they did not have in stock. Manager there said go to Dedham Location because they are authorized Samsung technicians.
Drove to Dedham, the guy from Geek squad went on a rant how he can only work on certain Samsung versions, blah blah blah and basically told to beat it in a nice way. Never go to a Best Buy again

I counted nine of their staff sitting around socializing. One finally acknowledged my presence after I waited for someone to at least notice I was there. And when I pointed out that everyone else was apparently too busy lounging around , all I got was a shrug. I'll be buying my TV elsewhere.
Judging by the other reviews, I have to wonder why corporate doesn't see a problem here.

As of today (10/24/2023), I have ceased being a Best Buy customer. After years of being a loyal customer, the decision not to purchase anything from Best Buy anymore was easy because of its inability to accurately and effectively communicate the overlap of its Best Buy / Geek Squad extended warranty with the manufacturer's warranty. For example, the first year of the extended warranty runs concurrent with the manufacturer's warranty. Consumers like me wouldn't have purchased the extended warranty because it doesn't make economic sense for the first year. An extension that starts after the manufacturer's warranty expires is consumer-friendly and economically prudent.

In my case, I purchased a television in December 2020 with a two-year extension; however, the overlap wasn't explained to me. Thus, I was under the impression I had three years of warranty. I learned the hard way because the television's panel needs to be replaced, but the warranty coverage is two years, which expired in early 2023.

Another issue with the extended warranty offer is that one can only purchase it during the return period. In other words, Best Buy knowingly offers a service intentionally overlapping with the manufacturer's warranty rather than an offer genuinely beneficial to the consumer. Best Buy argues that the consumer directly works with the Geek Squad, with allegedly better customer service, rather than the manufacturer. Be that as it may, the economics isn't favorable because Best Buy has an expense outlay via the cost of the extension for the overlapping first year, which wouldn't be incurred dealing directly with the manufacturer.

Finally, the apathetic response from the Dedham Geek Squad Manager, Mari, about my situation wasn't consumer-friendly. As an experienced manager, I understand Mari's position, yet she solely focused on reciting policy rather than trying to consider any amicable solution. No matter how small, an exception can be entertained and appropriately authorized to satisfy a loyal customer; however, Mari's mind was closed to any path forward.

The poor representation of the extended warranty and Mari's indifferent attitude led me to cease my decades-long consumer relationship with Best Buy.

Sophia the GM does not care about her customers. I had to tell her to apologize to me after a 13 minute conversation. After 4 hours of attempting to get services resolved, all she wanted to do was pass me on to another 800 #. Please go elsewhere!

It has gone completely downhill to my opinion. Yes you can buy electronics and appliances but they're trying to be like Apple where you have to be in line to talk to a rep. We try to buy a television for my daughter and we had to wait forever to get a representative to just send it to check out. It's almost better just to order online.

Oh boy. Not good. I am an older woman, could use some help lugging a printer through the store. I guess the 4 boys standing around in front have better things to do. No customer service in the printing department, although I was given directions to it. I asked for, and got, assistance bringing it to my car. The printer was returned today - same thing, I lug it in and no one helps. No one says, hey, can I show you another? Just train someone to do a return and I leave, glad to have the experience behind me.

Very small store these days with no inventory. Really a disgrace for Best Buy name... If you need to purchase anything just drive to Natick location.

Just had a delivery of an appliance. The rep who assisted us with the sale couldn't have been bothered and seemed annoyed that we took them away from their cell phone.

The team that delivered the appliance caused likely thousands of dollars worth of damage to my home.

The DROPPED and DRAGGED a fridge down the stairs of my home.

Let's see how this claim process goes...
