      PURCHASE WITH EXTREME CAUTION!!!

      I bought an expensive chain from Ben Moss, especially because the price was good as they are out of business and everything is being sold off by liquidators.

      Less than 2-months after purchasing, I was wearing the chain, which I have probably only worn 8-10 times. I went to turn the clasp back around to the back of my neck and the necklace literally fell apart in my hands.

      I phoned to ask about returning or exchanging it and was told by the staff member at the store who answered the phone, that I could just bring it in and she would swap it out for another one. When I arrived at the store a few days later, staff were extremely rude and refused to do anything about the defective merchandise.

      To me, "FINAL SALE" means I can't change my mind and return the purchase. It doesn't mean that when you sell something defective, you are off the hook and bear no responsibility for the faulty product.

      A seemingly good deal is a terrible one, if it breaks within weeks.

      I know it's kind of cheesy but I like the jewellery in Ben Moss Jewellers. Seeing how it's getting close to Mother's Day I've been in to make my list to give to my husband. Wink, wink honey! Last year for my first Mother's Day my husband gave me the most beautiful alexandrite ring, which is my daughter's birthstone. This year I'm sure I'll get something sparkly from Ben Moss.

      One of the reasons I like their jewellery is that it's inexpensive but yet you still get a decent quality piece of jewellery. Grants, 30 other people may have the same piece, but I don't care. I wear the jewellery I'm given (but not like Mr. T) and am always willing to wear new pieces too! Wink, wink honey!

      Ben Moss carries your basic selection of jewellery from rings, ear rings, pendants, chains, gemstone jewels, wedding/engagement sets etc. I have never recalled them selling figurines or collectibles. The service from both the sales and repair side have been great and timely and never pushy. And I really appreciate that.

      Would rate zero stars of that was an option! TWICE I've been forced to take my $3000 elsewhere !
      The first time I went here was about 1.5years ago. I was looking for my engagement ring cuz my soon to be hubby knew that I'm picky and wanted to love my ring ! I told the lady that I wanted something unique, originally I was searching for a 3-stone diamond. She showed me a couple options and I was honest with her and told her I didn't like them. One specifically was just too round (it had a lot of circles) and everything I would say about the couple rings she showed me, she laughed at me. She did not take me seriously AT ALL. She kept trying to show me rings WAY over our budget. I ended up getting frustrated and left. My fiancee bought my $3000 ring at Peoples instead!!!

      The second time I went there(reluctantly) was yesterday, Saturday. We were shopping around the mall and decided to look for our wedding bands. This time was a different lady helping me(Sherry) she was very helpful when I was there looking for a unique wedding band to go with my engagement ring. I wanted something with a pop or a touch of color and not just another row of diamonds. Surprisingly enough I found it! She wrote down the info for me cuz I wanted to sleep on it first and have a chance to look around a little more. Later that evening(7:30) I had a brilliant idea and thought I would call her and see if my idea was something they could help me make work!
      I called and this lady, who happened to be the same lady as my first experience, picked up the phone. She says "hello" in a harsh tone. To which I reply, "hi, is this Ben moss"? Very rudely and abrupt she says "yes, we're closed" I could tell she was pissed off that I had called and interrupted. So I replied in the same tone that she gave me and said "ok, thanks for letting me know" and hung up the phone.
      I am extremely disappointed by the service from this lady. I come to find out that she is the MANAGER of this particular jewelry store! !!! I was not aware that the stores in a popular shopping mall would close at 6pm on a Saturday. I am extremely torn by this because Sherry was so kind to me and now I really don't want to buy my wedding band and anniversary band from here :( I'd rather take our $2000 elsewhere but the really sad part is this was the only place I could find a wedding band like this one.

      My fiance and I had a great experience at Ben Moss Jewellers at Kingsway Garden Mall (and actually at West Edmonton Mall's location as well). We were looking for his wedding band and it was a truly wonderful experience. We didn't feel pressured, we were encouraged to look and try on as many rings as we liked, and then when it came down to purchasing a style he liked, the manager took it upon herself to give us a discount (there was a sale that was on the previous week but had since ended).
      When the ring came in, it was way too big and we had no trouble sending away for a new one in a smaller size and it came in early as did the original one. Their staff is knowledgable, helpful, but not pushy and that is a huge plus for me when shopping for something as important as our wedding bands.

      Ben moss at the Kingsway location was absolutely wonderful... Until I gave them my money. After the purchase of a promise ring my boyfriend purchased at this location, the ring had to be sent back three time for sizing because they couldn't quite get it right. Every time it was sent out the band got thinner and thinner... And then at the 3rd and last pickup the sales associate informed Me I should have special ordered in the size I actually needed at the beginning. Although this option was never given to me, they tell me I would have to pay 50% of what the ring originally costed to have this done. In 4 months of wearing the ring, the band broke. Every time i have had to bring my ring in for my warranty I have been talked down to by staff, and treated very poorly. They were absolutely fantastic until I gave them my money, then the customer service standard completely dropped. We were looking forward to picking out an engagement ring at Ben moss from the original great service we had, now we will bringing our business elsewhere.
