Tony has done an amazing job with mani-pedis consistently for several years. He is always very accommodating. The photo is of my nails a full 2 weeks after my visit to Belle. I had done yard work and a lot of housework and the gel manicure stood up.

Great Quality! Tony does very good dip powder sets!!! He also did my soak from my previous acrylic full set and cleaned up my cuticles very well! Highly recommend Tony!

I RARELY get my nails done, and when I do it's a nice treat yourself occasion. I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I thought it would be a good time to get my nails cleaned up. WRONG. long story short, the technician CUT my toes, in not one, but two places! One cut was particularly painful and deep, and it started bleeding quite bad. The technician cleaned it, but did not apologize or verbally acknowledge it. I hate making a scene, so I let it go and left, thinking the cut wasn't that bad. I get half way down the block and see blood on my shoe from my toe! My toe is all swollen and still bleeding, so I went back to have them clean the wound, and hopefully receive some sort of a refund. When I went back they cleaned the wound some more and applied (I think) Neosporin.
At this point I'm just praying it doesn't get infected.
No apologies whatsoever, and when I asked for a refund or a way for them to make it right, they said the manager would reach out. This was not handled appropriately. AVOID.
Edit: several hours later I'm discovering more and more nicks and cuts around my nail bed, including a large cut on the big toe. Just spent $30 on antibacterial supplies at cvs - the technician should not be working here.
Edit2: it's been TWO WEEKS and the manager/owner never called me. No refund/partial refund. Not even an apology. Awful.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Erika M.Washington, DC, United States1425630Dec 16, 2022Updated review
I have come here faithfully for the past 2 years. Unfortunately the quality of this place has really declined over the past several months. The new employees they have hired take as many shortcuts as they can to get you in and out as quickly as possible. After my last gel manicure appointment, I will not be coming back to this place again.
Every time I get my gel redone, my nails are wrapped in cotton-soaked acetone and I am left to sit for 10 minutes or so while the acetone breaks down the polish. This time, my nail tech filled a bowl with acetone and dunked my hands in for barely 2 minutes. She then removed my hands and began using a drill to sand off the polish. I asked her to stop using drill because I do not have acrylic nails and I did not want the drill to weaken my natural nails. She said she had been doing nails for 20 years and knew what she was doing and continued to drill. I'm not a nail tech so I trusted that she knew what she was doing even though it seemed off.
Within a few days, it was evident that what she told me about the drill was a complete lie. My natural nails began BENDING under the gel because they were so thin from being sanded down and breaking so low to my nail bed that it became painful. My gel chipped in multiple places after only a few days when normally it lasts multiple weeks with no chips. I had to take off the polish after less than 2 weeks and now I have to wait until my nails completely grow out again before I can get the gel redone because the nail tech completely sanded down my natural nails and treated them like they were acrylics.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Nov 14, 2020Previous reviewI went here for the first time today and I'll definitely be going back. The salon was clean and they took COVID precautions very seriously, which I appreciated. Tony was meticulous and did a phenomenal job with my nails. Each nail was filed evenly, cuticles were taken care of without me feeling like I was going to get cut, and the gel polish was applied evenly... not a single streak or bump. They had a great selection of colors and quality polishes. I would recommend making an appointment since this place is relatively small.

Disappointed. I showed up for a 4PM appointment and was told to come back in 30 minutes. Then I arrived and had to wait for another 25 minutes. I came in for an SNS removal and left two hours later with residue still on and under my nail. I had to wipe the residue off my hands with acetone myself. $15 and I will have to go home to fix the nail shaping and file down remaining residue. I was planning on getting a gel manicure and am glad I did not.

I really enjoyed my first time here! My nail technician paid very close attention to detail and took his time. Planning on going back fue by next nail appointment!

I have been coming here almost exclusively for the last 2 years but the quality has really gone down over the last 9 months. Everyone, with one exception because I complained so strongly, of my powder dip and gel manicures since the spring has chipped within a week. My natural nails have also been filed down so much (because they don't want to spend the time to properly remove the previous powder) to a point where they break painfully close to the nail bed.
The last straw came on Sunday when I called in the morning for an appointment and they said they couldn't take me until 4 pm. When I showed up at 3:58 pm, there was one tech who was busy with another customer and said the other tech had just left because there weren't any customers....except I had an appointment they blew off.
This also happened over the holidays when I had to wait more than an hour when I had an appointment and then saw several other customers go through the same thing.
I don't know if they are using cheaper polishes or what, but the chipping drives me crazy, more than running late. I told them several times that I don't have enough time in the week to spend 2/3 hours in a nail salon so they can fix a $50 manicure that wasn't done properly in the first place. They don't even try to offer refunds or discounts for shoddy work.
They also soaked my nails in acetone instead of doing the wrap, and ruined my natural nails. Will not be going back to them.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 17, 2022
Brace yourself, lengthy review ahead!
Wanted to get my nails done with a nice design, so my roommate recommended me to check out this place as this is her go-to spot in DC. She did warn me that there are not that many employees and so service is slow. This is correct, and I will go into more detail below. But overall, my nails came out great. My nails could have been better but for a variety of factors, my nails are as good as they could have been. My overall rating for salon is a 4/5. Service was a 3/5, Tech was a 5/5, Price was a 3/5, Quality was a 4/5, Vibes was a 4/5.
When I came in, the place was very busy. The salon was clean, bright, and tidy. It is a very, very small salon. Looks like there was 4 pedicure stations and 3 manicure stations. Everyone was being serviced. Looked like a lot of regulars. Vibes was a 4/5.
So my appointment was originally 6 PM on a Thursday, which I got three days in advance, but they called me the next day and asked if could push it to 6:30 PM. So my appointment was actually 6:30 PM on a Thursday with Rose. I arrived 10 mins before my appointment (so 6:20 PM). The client before came in very late and so I wasn't actually serviced until 20 mins after my appointment (so 6:50 PM--I waited for 30 mins in total since I came in a little early). But after I was finally given the attention, it was completely given to me. I had a deluxe spa gel pedicure and a full acrylic set with designs, so I ended up leaving at 9 PM. Mind you the salon closes at 7 PM, so they stayed until they were completely done with me. So overall, service was a 3/5 (the timing was crazy so had to take 2 off).
Since it has been awhile since I got a mani/pedi, I decided to #treatmyself and indulged in a deluxe spa gel pedicure specifically the Milk and Honey (which hindsight might not have been the best idea because of the timing). But my tech, Rose, was very meticulous and I felt great. Rose was lovely to chat with and she ensured me to not worry about the time, things will get finished when they are finished. She made sure to remove all my callous and toe cuticles. For my manicure, I got a got a full acrylic set with a design. By the time we got to my manicure, I think there was a time pressure. Rose did not remove my cuticles and I was too shy to speak up because again it was getting late. But she did the best she could with my nails. Acrylic tips, a shape between almond and stiletto, and a design on all my nails (please see pictures below). The tech was 5/5 and the quality was a 4/5 (I wished she removed my cuticles).
The pricing was strange, please see a picture of the pricing below. I thought I was expected to pay for far more than I actually paid. I paid a total of $170 for the manicure and pedicure plus tip. I think it was worth it given all the services I received. I really appreciated how the tech worked with me until the very end. Price is a 3/5
Definitely check out this place, but keep in mind it will be slow. Schedule an appointment well in advance. The place does more dip, gel, and regular manicures and not so much acrylics. But it's still offered.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
