Edited, pending further discussion with staff.
The company doesn't care about disability grants, the company doesn't care about customers, the staff cannot properly mail or charge for software, and students with disabilities are left to clean up their mess. Choose a different company, this one shouldn't be working with a community that it doesn't respect.
What happened to me:
I ordered assistive technologies from Aroga in October of 2014. They sent me the technology twice and billed me twice for it. I contacted the company and returned the extra package of software and thought that was the end of it. Then 10 months later, I got a call from Aroga saying that they never charged my credit card for the software they sent me. At the time, I was out of the country and I was unable to deal with such a situation. Nevertheless, they called me 2-3 times a day for 2 solid weeks. Finally, I ate the roaming charges to answer and tell them to follow up with me when I got back to Canada, giving them the date and time for that.
They continued calling me while I was out of the country, calling another 3 times before I got off the plane in Toronto. Once back in Canada, we talked on the phone, very civilly, to discuss the problem and the solutions to it. Because they didn't charge my account, I lost access to the grant that was going to pay for the software. Donna (the poor person that didn't make the mistakes but had to clean up after them) assured me that she would talk to Grove (the head of the company) about this to see if they could lift some of my financial burden.
Today they called back. I was told by Donna that the company "doesn't care about my grant" and that "as far as I see it, Maaya has our product so she has to pay for it fully." Now I am left with an expired grant that would have paid for my software (software that I desperately need to do just about anything on the computer) and a charge for $1800 (more than my tuition).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
