Next Level Burger

Next Level is one of the best vegan burger places I have eaten at. I am so glad that I discovered this awesome vegan spot! They have a selection of things to choose from, including burgers, chicken sandwiches, shakes and more!

This location is inside of a Whole Foods, so if you are okay eating inside of an already busy spot, that's great, but if not, I would try the Ballard location, which is a stand alone restaurant. Next Level is a pricey vegan burger shop, so if you are looking for cheaper prices, Next Level may not be right for you.

I had the fire cheeseburger and the chocolate shake. I also had the cheese fries. The fire cheeseburger was spicy, but tasted really good and was hot and fresh. The chocolate shake was delicious and I couldn't even tell it was vegan. My wife had the american cheeseburger and the orange creamsicle shake, and she also enjoyed them both! She said they were delicious!

I highly recommend next level burger and they have definitely gained my loyalty as a customer!

Woof. Tried this place because the Whole Food hot bar was sparse. The chicken sandwich started out great until I took a bite about halfway through and got a mouth full of sand. The lettuce was very sandy and unfortunately unwashed. Spat it out and tossed the rest. Would definitely avoid if you're in a sensitive group that should be careful about ecoli like I am. Fingers crossed no issues later today.

Also their onion rings are good, but an awful value. 5 pieces for over $5. Really disappointed.

I can't believe I'm saying this because I'm a burger lover, but dang, you wouldn't know this place is vegan unless someone told you. Seriously I feel like this is the Seinfeld episode where they eat the 'fat free' yogurt and it tastes so good the had to have it tested (unfortunately it was not fat free LOL).

This location is inside of a Whole Foods with some street parking but also a small lot across the entrance. So if you don't want the drinks they offer or sides, go roam the grocery store for something else...perhaps an adult beverage (actually I have no idea if that's allowed).

Despite being inside a grocery, it's got some good seating right inside with larger sharing table space. Okay on to the food...

I got the fire burger as-is. I love spice, but this had some unexpected *actual* heat for a fast-food place! Beware, but it was awesome. Close your eyes and you don't know you are eating a plant-based product with the smash patty and cheez. LOVE it. I also got some tots with one of the sauces and you couldn't tell that was also vegan. ANd to top it off seriously one of the more tasty shakes I have had in a while. I opted for the half/half of soy/coconut and think that is the winning combo (after tasting my son's). I got the peanut butter cup flavor. Soooo good.

Wish there was one on the east side and I'd frequent this place weekly. Taking friends back to get their opinion! Staff was friendly and service was quick on a friday night (it was raining though not a lot of people out).

Food - I've ordered from here several times and am always happy! This time I got the cluck tenders value basket. The milkshakes are some of the better vegan milkshakes I've had.

Service - N/A because take out but it's always packed incredibly well. They tape the drinks shut for tamper resistance and avoiding spills. The packaging is also sustainable.

Ambiance - N/A but the packaging is very pretty.

If you are craving a healthier vegan comfort food option Next Level doesn't disappoint.

As a vegetarian, I'm always looking for new options. There is a lot of hype around the burgers and add-ons. The flavors could be better. There are only so many choices for a chain of veg burgers, but if this is your signature dish, you can do more. The restaurant is inside Whole Foods, clean and spacious.

The value for the size and general lack of flavor makes it something I would think twice about ordering again.

Next level burger is a completely vegan burger place inside the whole foods. Suggest ordering on the app ahead of time to expedite your order. There are also a few coupons with the app!

The burgers are sometimes amazing, but a time or two has been too salty.

Everything about this place is good. Food, people and eating space. Would live to have one in Tacoma. Just sayin'

Next Level Burger / Next Level Clucker is a vegan fast food restaurant located inside the Roosevelt Whole Foods! It's easy to walk past without noticing it, but it's well-staffed (they're also super nice and helpful), the food is cooked fresh, and there's a surprising amount of seating. It's got all the noise and bustle of a super market, but is separate enough to feel comfortable eating alone or with a lot of family/kids.

The prices are high "vegan prices" (what do you expect, in a Whole Foods?) but the food and shakes were surprisingly good.

Now, everyone knows I'm a carnivore, but what really drew me to try this was the milkshakes. I'm really lactose intolerant, so the prospect of a real milkshake that won't destroy me after is a huge plus! Next Level Burger has a wide variety of shake flavors, including three holiday specials (candy cane, egg nog, and bourbon apple pie). I tried the Bourbon Apple Pie and the Cookies & Cream, with the soy ice cream base (they also have a coconut base option), and both were thick and tasted really legit.

I've been wanting to try their other options, so today I decided to try the kids chick'n nugget set, which came with 4 nuggets, fries, sauce, and a juice box. The fries were great -- thick, crinkle-cut, crispy seasoned outside and soft inside. The "chick'n" nuggets were surprisingly tasty, though no one would mistake them for real chicken nuggets. The outside is nice and battered and crispy, but the inside texture is soft like a chicken meatball or croquette. Still, it definitely tasted "chicken like." I'd happily eat it again if it weren't so pricy. I also liked the wide variety of sauces available (I chose the garlic mayo -- oddly enough this only shows up with the kids nuggets, and doesn't show up with the normal nuggets on the menu, so you might have to ask for this in person).

Next time, I want to finally try a Beyond Burger. I've heard that it's the most realistic fake meat -- we'll see!
