This is a very good classic Chinese bakery. Our favorites are always the milk pudding buns from this bakery. They also have a good selection of coffees, Boba and savory breads.
The place is not very big but clean and cozy.
Staff are nice.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yelper Y.DeSoto, United States020267Jan 15, 2024
The place has gone downhill quite a bit.
Their breads are markedly smaller, not as fresh, and much less selection every time we go. They used to have this triangle-shaped 3-layered sandwich that was the sole reason I used to visit. It's been gone for I think years. Maybe change of ownership or what not. That was a differentiator. Otherwise, why would we even come to 85 degrees at all anymore.
Lines are long because they don't have many people manning the cashier at the proper times. The store hours always seem inconvenient. We've gone several times and they were simply closed even though their posted hours online say they're open.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

85°C Bakery Cafe is bakery specializing in European and Asian cakes / pastries. They are often individual sized, cute and delectable. They serve coffee and other hot / cold drinks, made to order. The pastries are delicious. We had both savory and sweet tarts. I had the 85C coffee and it was a perfect 85 degrees Celsius. The coffee was great, made with freshly grounded espresso beans.

I stopped by for some breakfast on a Saturday. They were already super busy with customers inside and some waiting for pick up. There's tables inside and outside on the patio.
Got some pastries and ordered drink in less than 10 mins. The drink took about 10 mins until I get it.
I ordered the Taro Lavender Latte and it was really really amazing. If you are into sweeter drinks, definitely try this one!!!
For pastries, I got the Garlic Cheese, Milk Pudding, Milk Tea Bun, and Choco Cream Cheese. My favorite is definitely the Milk Pudding bun and the Milk Tea bun. The filling was plenty and the bread was soft!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 30, 2023Updated review
Back again for the coconut snow cubes, they are as delicious and creamy as always! Also got the fresh strawberry milk tea to help cool down in this heat, and this is always super sweet and refreshing!
Will keep coming back :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jul 16, 2023Previous reviewReally like their coconut snow cubes! They are like a milky pudding and have a nice coconut flavor that isn't too sweet.
I also got the hot rose milk tea which is always a hit. It's really fragrant and warms up your body when it is cold. It is also super sweet (which I love!)
Service is good as usual, fast, friendly, and efficient.
I come here almost every week and I plan to keep doing so!Jul 9, 2023Previous reviewI've been here several times, I really like their pastries and drinks. I have tried their breads before, but I think they are just okay, not amazing but not bad either. However, I think their sweets are where they really shine.
Their fresh strawberry milk tea is super good, sweet, and has fresh strawberries. It is really refreshing. Definitely a must have for strawberry lovers!
I also enjoy a lot of their pastries like their blueberry cheesecake, pudding, and strawberry shortcake. Their creams are all flavorful but not too heavy, and I also like their fruit as it's typically fresh.
Service is fast and they are friendly, though at times it can be busy. Even so, they do a good job managing all the orders.
The ambiance is clean and simple, a bakery with a few chairs and tables to sit in. - Melanie T.McKinney, United States109233Apr 25, 2024
Sea Salt Carmel Cold coffee is a must. My fiancée swears by this and prefers it over Starbucks, Dutch Bros and even Dunkin. Strawberry season is my absolute favorite but I cannot leave without a ham and cheese. Smoothies are delicious and being able to add boba is a plus.

My family and I visited a couple weeks ago after a long hiatus, and the breads were wonderful and service was prompt and good. I am glad the quality has improved. We will be back!

Hi Julia, thanks for letting us know about this. We are sorry to hear you were treated this way and we will be following up with this store. We always want to make sure you have a delightful experience.
Oct 30, 2020Previous reviewSince covid, the consistency of the drink quality as well as the staffs' attitude have been declining. The store has a sign that they would be happy to remake the drink that you aren't happy with, but based on the attitude and look of the face of the staff, it seemed like it was such a hassle and burden to remake the drink. They all have the I don't care attitude the way they carry themselves to the customers and the way they speak. I particularly thought it was unimpressive when the cashier asked, "What do you want me to do about it?" when I went to go tell them that I wasn't happy with their diluted down tiger milk latte. Messing up the drink is one thing but having a foul attitude is whole another issue.
What made it more messed up is the second drink tasted just as nasty as the first drink they made. No attempt to make it better, although I tell them in detail why I didn't like my latte this time around. Come on. Are you planning to close down so you don't care? I ain't coming back, there are a ton of other good bakeries around. Why should I care to come back when you don't care about the customer's need on the first place?!Jul 22, 2017Previous reviewMy family has tried a several different type of their buns and pastries now and they have been more than decent. My favorites are the cinnamon twists pastry and red bean buns. My hubby likes their custard bun and cream cheese flat buns. They taste very fresh and moist and the fillings have good flavor without being too sweet.
I haven't tried their cakes or drinks but I will be trying them soon. The wkds tend to be very crowded...better get your breads on weekday mornings. - Shannen C.Murphy, United States11811Oct 23, 2023
I loved this place and I was sad to see this bug in my pastry this morning :/ I know this isn't a normal occurrence, but I live far from this place and to see this just made me sad.
