We were at this restaurant for a family birthday dinner. Took 2 tables with a private room.
Parking can be a bit busy but there is ample space.
Th service had good pacing. We felt everything was made fresh and came out at a reasonable pace. Last thing you want is all the dishes immediately coming out with no space on the table and things getting cold or too slow a service and waiting doing nothing.
Food: All the dishes were cooked well. The suckling pig was crispy and moist.
Crab balls were freshly deep fried, super hot and fresh. Good crab flavor.
Soup came out piping hot with great seafood flavor.
Scallops and shrimp were cooked well as well, with the accompanying snow peas having a good crisp.
The goose feet had a great sauce, tender. Accompanying vegetables and mushrooms were great too.
The fish was very fresh, the meat was super tender. Similarly, the lobster was cooked well though it might have been an older lobster.
Rice and noodles were made fresh and flavorful.
Price: It is expensive here but worth it for the quality of food and servive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shelly L.East York, ON04Mar 29, 2024
I have no stars to give!! Only have a one star review because it was the only way to get this review posted! Don't bother making a reservation- it has no value!!
Our party had a reservation for dim sum this afternoon and were very disappointed regarding the way in which we were treated and the lack of respect this establishment seems to have for its customers and their time.
After an hour of waiting for the hostess to even have the time or attention to acknowledge our party- we gave up and left completely ruining our plans with our group for the day.
The hostess was very rude and shooing people away while also not communicating very well with anyone. Many people who walked in were provided a number and those with reservations were told they did not need a number- yet only numbers were being called and those with reservations seemed to be disregarded.
It was the most bizarre experience we have had especially considering we had a reservation.
We will not be returning despite the fact we have heard amazing things about the food as we have also tried to dine here before (without a reservation) and were turned away. Apparently, no reservation today was a bit different.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 18189381Jan 6, 2024

My mum wanted to go for dimsum during Christmas holidays, and our usual dimsum spot recently closed down. We decided to go to Skyview. My parents and siblings have never been, but I have.
Although I made reservations for 12pm, we weren't seated until almost 1pm. The restaurant is always packed and it's somewhat small inside. People would stand by the side of walls where patrons are dining waiting for a table, because the waiting area is already so full of people sitting and standing waiting to get seated.
I asked for two tables, they only gave us one or we would've been waiting for a longer time.
Food wise was okay, we ordered a lot of dimsum that day since we had 16 people total, 2 toddlers had to sit on their parents lap and two infants had to lay in their stroller
(I was one of those parents).
Some foods were hit and miss, but the best ones were the siu mai, har gow, and baked pineapple pork bun. Everything else was okay or the flavour profile was a little off or not flavorful enough. We got ham sui gok and the dough was just so thick and very little meat inside. The chiu chow crystal dumplings, again the skin was so thick, I just removed the skin and ate the stuffing inside. Turnip cake was too soft, didn't hold its shape when trying to pick it up and the sticky rice with minced chicken was bland and not flavorful. The menu doesn't offer some of the popular dimsum dishes like others do.
Don't think I would come back here for dimsum, but would give it a try for dinner as I've heard good things about it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2024
A popular choice for dim sum that won't disappoint! They have all the classics and some unique dim sum dishes too like durian tart and deep fried seaweed shrimp roll. It is super busy and crowded on weekends and would recommend calling ahead to reserve a table. However, you will still likely need to wait a bit after your reservation time, but staff are very efficient. We were too full, but highly suggest you try their cha siu bbq pork - they serve it on a plate with rice!

This review is solely based on the dim sum food and experience.
We were really looking forward to eating here when we arrived in the GTA for our first day, especially since Skyview had been on so many "Best of..." lists.
Unfortunately, from the first dish to the last one, everything was just bland and not very flavorful compared to MANY, MANY dim sum restaurants I've been to around the world. Being from New York City, I've been spoiled my entire life with great dim sum in the 5 boroughs. Unfortunately, Skyview was very disappointing.
We went on a relatively ordinary Tuesday morning at 11:30 AM and, surprise, surprise, it was PACKED. To be fair, it was the week leading into the US/Canada Labor Day holiday weekend. We waited about 15 minutes for a table for 4, so it wasn't too bad, but it still came as quite the surprise that we had to wait for a table on a weekday.
The waiting area and actual dining area were separated, so when you finally make it in, you feel this great sense of feeling special -- like we made it! We were whisked into this world of dumplings, rice rolls and sticky rice, but our excitement was soon dashed. The one positive was that we didn't have to share a table because our kids could be quite the chaos creators, so we'd rather not have to apologize for any accidents to fellow customers.
ALL of the typical dishes you would expect to be served at dim sum was served here - beef/shrimp/roast pork rice rolls, shrimp dumplings (har gow),
pork and shrimp dumplings (siu mai), spring rolls, chicken feet, etc, etc, etc. They mostly had it all - on paper. They don't actually have the carts rolling around (WOMP WOMP), but instead have given into the new way of ordering, which is to fill out the menu instead and have us hesitantly hand it in like a last minute class paper, not sure if we ordered everything we really wanted. In a way, the paper form worked because they did have pictures of everything, so it made it easier to visualize the dishes.
We ended up ordering - baked BBQ pork bun pastry, steamed pork dumplings, chicken feet, sticky rice w/chicken, steamed buns with molten yolk, shrimp & pork spring rolls, BBQ pork rice rolls, shrimp rice rolls AND a fried crispy egg noodle Cantonese style --- These are the actual names of the items as listed on their menu.
The verdict - as I said earlier, BLAND, BLAND, BLAND. It wasn't just one or two things, it was many dishes that were blah. A few were OK, but, it was hard to forget the many that weren't. It's quite rare to go to a Cantonese/Chinese restaurant and say that the food is bland, but it was here. We recall multiple dim sum dishes just did not go all the way when it came to the flavor - like you would bite into it, chew it, taste it and then the flavor would disappear and not remain in your mouth after you swallowed the food. It's difficult to explain, but you know it when you eat it.
And, the one time we actually ordered an actual "kitchen" item, as in a rice or noodle dish, it was disappointing too. The fried crispy egg noodle Cantonese style's (aka pan fried noodle) sauce was so flavorless we were in disbelief. The noodle was very crunchy and crispy, so props there, but the sauce is EVERYTHING. If the sauce is terrible, then the order is shot.
I really wanted to like the restaurant, well, because when you dine somewhere you want it to be good, but, also, because we came in with such sky high (no pun intended) expectations. I know Markham is known for amazing Cantonese food and I do believe it, but, this was really one of the most disappointment dim sum restaurants I've been to (and, like I said, I've been to MANY).Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Nov 27, 2023
Chinese dim sum and seafood restaurant . We came in Saturday morning with group of 8 people. Only waited for 10min then got seated.
The dim sum here is still good as before, service is fast and friendly, since it is a busy place, they did mess up the additional orders,so make sure to check with them.
All foods quality here are good even vegetables in soup taste great. So feel free to try any dishes you like.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 20, 2023
They said this was the best dim sum in the area, I thought the food was okay. It was good but I don't see it getting a Michelin star anytime soon.
I do like that they have a long list of selections but was most disappointed that they did not have egg tart (due to egg shortages) and the Milk tart did not satisfy my craving.
The service was pretty good and the ambiance is your typical Chinese dim sum place: busy and loud.
Go early or else expect to wait a while. The place was huge, even so, they were very busy!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 9, 2023
Can there be two equally good spots for the BEST dim sum in Toronto?
Yes! Skyview Fusion is the sister restaurant to The One Fusion. It turns out I enjoy Skyview Fusion even more! Known among Toronto's best Chinese restaurant nestled in a suburb. Elevated dim sum with top-notch flavours, clean ambiance to start the day.
I always enjoy the Siu Mai & Har Gow. I've also ventured into more Dim sum highlights:
- Scallop Dumplings: inside black & gold skin
- Soup Dumplings: in huge soup-infused bowl
- BBQ Pork: honey-roasted irresistibly moist
- Preserved Egg & Pork Congee: a classic
- Mango Coconut Jelly w/ Pastry: creatively shaped as birds & eggs within a bird's nest
Such comfort in a dim sum meal. The exciting food here makes for a perfect experience.
Skyview Fusion dim sum is perfect for any occasion. Come early to enjoy. Service here now always seems pleasant even when busy.Helpful 30Thanks 2Love this 31Oh no 0 - Alexander X.Toronto, ON325421Mar 10, 2024
Overall, this dim sum restaurant is good. However, the wait time was over 1.5hrs on a Saturday! Unfortunately there is no online waitlist, which requires you to to attend in-person. While the cha siu used to be a standout, it now tastes merely okay - the meat was tough and lacked the crispy outer edges. All dishes were well executed; none stood out as memorable or exceptional. I would recommend this establishment for casual gatherings, but perhaps best avoided on weekends.

Classic family style Chinese food - best for sharing!
Not only does Skyview Fusion Cuisine do gerat dim sum lunch, they also have great dinner dishes/ combos that you can order from. As any Chinese restaurant would have, they usually have combo deals where they serve 10-13 course dinners throughout the night, family style. Of course you can always do additional add on dishes as well. Combos for a table of 10+ can really range in price going up to $1000+ per table.
Some dishes worth mentioning and highlighting throughout my dining experience here would be:
Suckling pig with jelly fish 10/10
- Crispy pig skin with just the right amount of fat, bordered with some delicious crunchy jelly fish
Walnut shrimp 10/10
- Sweet, sticky and crispy fried shrimps that have the perfect bouncy texture
Fried shrimp and crab ball 10/10
- Crispy fried exterior, soft juicy interior spilling with lots of seafood
Service is always great. Ambiance is nice. A go to spot for any Chinese banquet style dinners/ special occasion.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Nov 16, 2022Previous reviewA go to dim sum spot on weekends!
Skyview is one of those restaurants that every person goes to on the weekends and try to snag a spot up for morning dim sum. The wait times here are long even with reservations, be prepared to wait a little. At the end of October, they still had their patio set up out which was nice to get a spot easier. Their "patio" was outdoor red tents that were covered on all three sides, making it quite private to your table.
The food here is always delicious and hits the spot. Service is also pretty great here, always refilling our tea pots and taking away finished dishes. Their char siu dish with choice of noodle is always a must get - it's also great for sharing. Your standard dim sum dishes like siu mai and har gow are on the larger size here, slightly bigger than golf balls!
Make sure you check this restaurant out! And a pro tip, skip the hot sauce and ask for the chili oil! It's so much better and gives your food a nice kick!
