The people here are incredible, they treat their customers like gold and the talent of the colorist and stylists is amazing. Highly recommend this place.

I was really excited to get a makeover done, being 36 weeks pregnant and wanting to do a nice thing for myself before my baby arrives I thought I would give this place a try. I read some great reviews of this place. Sadly the stylist (Chantel) was incompotent and the quote I recieved was disgustingly over priced. I asked for a reverse Balayge from brown to icy purple. I had bleach blonde hair and seemed like it shouldn't have been a big job, but after sitting In a chair for 4+ hours by the end was completely frustrated. Once my hair was blowdryed my whole hair was JET BLACK with patches or brown ... I was charged $260 for this and didn't even recieve a hair cut, it would have been an extra $35 on top of that. I wish It was a joke but sadly I'm sitting in a situation where I'm completely depressed and can't do anything about it. They tried to tell me they'll fix it if I came a week after but honestly if she couldn't do what is asked the first time why would I go back and have them bleach my hair and sit for 4+ hours again, not to mention it destroying my hair. I would not recommend going for a Balayge or a reverse Balayge, she'll seem confident that she can do it but you'll leave with something you never asked for. Not impressed at all. Also they had coffee, espresso, water, and wine and wasn't offered a drink the whole visit I was there. I paid $260 and demanded a refund but their so cheap and have no consideration on how upset I was. They gave me a check for $115. Worst. Experience. Ever. I'm in shock on how regretfull my experience was. There's many more salons downtown, try any of them but this one.

Got two coupons through DealFind which promised: $39 for a Haircut, Wash, Blow Dry and Style, Plus Deep Conditioning Treatment at Salon Niccio (which they claim is a $295 Value).

All I got was a wash, haircut and dry - nothing special or out of the ordinary that the deal promised. Their service was generally unprofessional - no receptionist then when she does show up, she's chewing gum with her mouth wide open; employees kids running around; employees talking to each other about personal problems; the stylist I had an appt with was changed to another sylist when I arrived; etc etc. The actual salon is not particularly clean or nice either.

My haircut was okay. Not great, not horrible. Would I go back? Certainly not at regular price but I'm even considering whether or not to use my second coupon. There are many other high end salons that I would prefer to frequent (The Loft, Rinaldo's) where they take pride in their business, their image and the happiness of their clients.

I also didn't notice any kind of special conditioning treatment, and they didn't communicate to me that they were doing anything out of the ordinary. It seemed like the treatment was an effort to boost the price/value of the deal and ensure higher tips.

The stylist I was booked with was horrible -- clearly not one of their top staff. She reeked of cigarette smoke and chain smoked throughout my services. Then she'd come back and exhale on me while the was washing, cutting and styling my hair.

A week or so after my visit to the salon, a chunk of my hair fell out and I was left with a bald spot on my head. I'm not sure what happened, but I think the hair loss may have resulted from the negligence of the stylist -- either mis-mixing or leaving the colour on for too long.

I have yet to go back to use my other coupon. When I do, I'll be requesting to see someone else. I hope that will allow me to post a more positive review.

I just got a fab new haircut at Niccio Salon and wanted to share my experience. I've been in Ottawa for a year now and was getting seriously discouraged with the stylists I'd been seeing until my sister in law recommended Tania at Niccio's. She sorted out my colour and listened to exactly what I was looking for in a cut, executing it to perfection. What more can I say but "go and see her" because she is awesome!

I really wish I could write a better review because the staff was lovely, but unfortunately based on the service I received, I could not recommend this salon to anybody, and I will never return there myself. I paid $80 on groupon for partial highlights. Every single time I have gotten partial at a salon, I was satisfied with the amount of highlights that were in my hair, thought I recognized that my WHOLE head would not be blonde. The woman began doing my partial highlights and finished very quickly, with only a centre Mohawk section of highlights done. Strange. So I asked if I could pay extra for her to do the sides, which she said yes to. ON TOP of the $80 groupon, I was charged another $125, but I figured, if it's a good job, I'm happy to pay... no. The next day I went out with friends and they said "I thought you got your hair dyed" to which I replied "I did". They were shocked and pointed out how many roots were still visible, the blonde highlights didn't even come close to the scalp... I was sad. I emailed Salon Niccio. I was looking to get a refund instead because I knew this wouldn't go well, but they said they would go again, so reluctantly I went back to the salon. The whole appointment, the woman who did my hair was mentioning how "you only bought the groupon last time" even though I was charged an extra $125 for the service. She foiled my hair, and I was excited for my hair to look better... no. It still looks brown and patchy, and at this point, I just want a refund so I can go somewhere that will actually dye my hair properly. Not to mention, the girl who was assisting the stylist was rushing so fast because she had a dinner to go to... Would never come back here. I was unfortunately very disappointed and this all cost me $205 in total.

Not a professional response from what you'd expect from a salon with their high-end prices. They seem to be not open to criticism/comments. The description of the services/prices does not match what is offered. Not recommended.
