We have stayed here a few times from the cabins to an ocean front room as well as the penthouse for a special treat Including our wedding that took place here in 2022 this place is absolutely stunning. The staff are helpful and kind, the facilities are exceptionally clean and the views from the dinning room are second to non!
Richard served us twice this trip and was extremely kind and welcoming making us feel like it was home for the weekend.
a must stay location for sure!!

      The setting is obviously amazing.

The hotel is clean and updated.

      The service is average.

The hotel design itself is a little strange.

The designer clearly didn't think about views into hotel rooms from strangers. Sitting or lying in the bed I could make eye contact with diners from the restaurant, a mere 20 or 30 feet away or so. Sitting on the balcony we were essentially looking face-to-face with others and truly felt on display.

We came here for our 20th anniversary, looking for a Zen week away. We paid for an oceanfront room. We didn't expect restaurant goers in between us and the ocean. It took a bit away from the Zen.

So so so good. For comparison sake, wolf in the fog (I was told wolf is the best resto in town) is no where near Long Beach's standard.

      We ordered:
      - porcini risotto
      - scallop and pork belly
      - bison tagliatelle

All three dishes were 10/10. I'm very critical usually and I have nothing bad to say. Katherine, our server, was also extremely pleasant.

Super flavors, super staff, no airs of pretentiousness. The lodge is polished and yes expensive, but you get what you pay for. This is worth the $, and you will be happier here than at wolf (which will run you the same $).

      Would recommend, strongly.

Thanks for a great meal. We unfortunately couldn't get an Xmas reso because you were all booked, but if you want to have us back, we'd be glad!

(If anyone at Long Beach is reading this, feel free to reach out XD)

Twice we've come to Tofino to storm watch in November and twice we've been greeted with blue skies and calm seas, but we aren't complaining.

The view here is really unparalleled. Whether you choose to hang out in your cozy room and gaze out at the ocean, enjoy it from the great room (strategically constructed on the second floor), or take advantage of the firepits and adirondacks, a walk on the beach, etc,you really can't go wrong wrong here. It's truly a great place to retreat and enjoy the sea.

We found the room to be clean, cozy, and well updated. Service was good throughout the property and the grounds are well kept.

On this visit, the food was better than our last and I had the opportunity to chat with the chef who goes out of his way to design a menu that is as inclusive (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, etc) as possible-- which I personally appreciated very much.

The great room is a great place to bring a book or a game and enjoy the view, beverages, snacks (or a full meal). On this visit, we felt a little more pressure than we'd have liked to continue ordering food & beverages despite being told we could just hang out & enjoy the couches.

If you are wondering about the EV charging-- as of this writing their are two ev chargers up by the gift shop. They are very slow chargers. In one instance there was a non-EV parked in one of the spots which is always a bummer. That said, we were always able to charge when needed.

Good but not great. We stayed in a cottage for 7 nights. Lots of things i really liked: BBQs are excellent. Surfboard storage near beach. Large, private cottage. Hot tubs are nice.

      Stuff I found underwhelming:
Not that clean. I found someone's inhaler under the bed.
Fridge was busted. It was cranked to max cold, but ice cream melted. They obviously know but don't care.
Finish: a hole in wall patched with poly filla but left unrepaired.
Staff: kinda friendly, but some moments that made me wonder- went in the surf shop, staff too busy talking with friends to say hello, not one word said until we left. Service in Greatroom was OK, but i felt much friendlier vibes at the Tacofino taco truck.
Outdoor Fireplaces: they wouldnt turn them on..said they are only for summer. I guess all those chairs are only for summer?

Restaurant: we ate in the Greatoom once. Lovely room. Food was questionable. Sablefish for 36$ was a nice piece of fish on a pile of curry lentils with brocolini and kale. On a dark blue plate. Most underwhelming and uninspired chef cooked meal i think ive ever had. And visually a dark blob. The best thing about the wood oven fired pizzas was the beer. Either the oven wasnt hot enough to make the dough bubble and sear, or a bad recipe. The calabrese was overly salty. Very salty olives and salty meat. The other one had an arugula sauce. I'm all for experiments, but this was.a flop..with all the good things they could have made, it's a real wonder.

I would check out Pacific Sands or Cox Bay Beach Resort next time. LBLR is a little pricey for what you get, its clear room rates reflect an underperforming restaurant.

Wonderful staff and experience. We booked an elopememt package with them and they took care of all the details: the commissioner, florist, ceremony, dinner and 3 tier cake. They even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals covered bed.

Located right on the beach with access to surfboard rentals and all that you need for a wonderful stay.

Food at their restaurant in the Great room were delicious.

This place is the BEST. We got a cabin and it was beautiful. There was 2 bed and 2 bath and the upstairs was like a private suite. There are just two thing 1 it is PRICEY $$$. The other thing is that it doesn't have the national geographic channel. Overall awesome. Ps. Sorry for bad pics

After a long day in the Pacific Rim National Park, my wife and I decided a few happy hour drinks were warranted. At 5PM sharp, we arrived at the lodge's beautiful Great Room where $4 ginger beer, lime and syrup cocktails are featured. We started off with Moscow mules that were served in tall cocktail glasses rather than the traditional copper cups. For the second round she chose a grey ghost (macadamia nut liquor, drambuie) while I tried a twin fin (Sailor Jack spiced rum, peach brandy). Though the setting was gorgeous, the price right and the service good, the drinks were only fair because each tasted like ginger beer.

Wonderful lodge. Beautiful cabins. Exquisite location. Excellent staff and service.

I like a very flat pillow. Theirs are nice and fluffy. After a fitful first night, I called guest services and that night, I had my flat pillow! Slept like a log. It worked beautifully!

We couldn't get the fireplace to light, so again, called guest services. Literally two minutes later, a very nice young man came in and worked some magic and PRESTO! We had a beautiful fire to watch.

      Highly recommended!
