You need a pair of pants? A REAL pair of pants? Go to a tailor, go to Espinosa MASTER Tailors. 'Master' isn't just thrown in there for kicks.

I brought an old crappy suit into this father/son duo to save some money on buying a new one this past Christmas holiday, and Rich, the junior Espinosa, blew me away with his care and craftsmanship. Knowledgeable, versatile and stylish, the subtle and high-quality alterations gave my crappy old H&M suit the legs (and ass) to get me though another Christmas without breaking my bank or seams.

I've never really been a 'Custom Tailored Suit' kind of guy, but I'm starting to save my pennies now. If you need a good quality suit thats going to last for work, wedding or just wearing, go to these guys and your threads will be in masterful hands.

Next time I return it's going to be for a full measuring and a custom 3-piece.

I go to this place on a regular basis for a few reasons.
      1) He is very friendly, patient and attentive
      2) He is very professional and makes my cloths look great, and will be honest if he thinks a garment won't look right if adjusted.
      3) He is not very expensive when you consider the quality of work he does
I have recommended him to many friends and family and all have come away happy. The first time I used him was with a suit that I didn't like much. He tapered the pants and adjusted the back and two weeks later it looked like it was made for me. Since then I have taken several suits, jackets and pants and have yet to have a bad experience.

There was a gentleman serviced before me wearing his dark suit; he seemed very pleased. His once oversized suit purchased in the US is now fitting on him perfectly. I asked his wife and she said that there was enough fabric removed to make another suit. They both walked out happy.

Ricardo is a master tailor but also one charmingly kind family man, who moved to Canada, I believe around the 1960s, from Ecuador. I brought in a pair of H&M dress pants to have it shortened. Although working alone that Sunday afternoon, Ricardo had my pants completed within the hour, much less actually, as I desperately needed. He knows how to talk to and care for people, he resonates honesty and fairness, and his mastery seems true.

Find him or his staff in the small shop within the building. You can trust your fabrics to their work and price.

First off "Master Tailors" is not only in name but their professionalism and quality of work. They service many well-off folks in Yorkville who come in spending thousands of dollars on a custom suit but when I walked in there was not a single hint of snobbishness. Very friendly folks.

I had taken an indochino suit here to get it tailored and they gave me amazing advice and measured me even after I decided to take my suit back and get it re-made rather than tailored. This guy went as far to edit all my measurements and offered suggestions so that there would be less of a chance I would have to get it tailored after the remake. "Not a competition, I just want you to have a nice suit." sums up their approach to you as a customer. I will bring every piece of clothing that needs to be tailored to these fine folks in the future, including my remade suit if it needs any fine-tuning alterations done.

Note: A quality job from a busy tailor will take longer than 1 day, just saying.

Warning - I DO NOT recommend this place. Here goes my horror story:

I usually bring in one pair of pants at a time, but this time I was in a rush and needed a few things done at once. So I brought in 5 pairs of pants - 3 suit pants that needed repairs, 1 pair of jeans that needed repairs and 1 brand new pair of designer jeans bought in NYC. Yes, 5 pairs in total.

Fast forward a couple weeks and I go to pick-up my clothes.....which are no where to be found. The tailor can not find them. A lot of arguing back and forth, and he tells me to come back the next day. The next day I return and he has another person there, who he introduces as his friend. Turns out the tailor was too busy so he decided to "contract-out" my work to his friend, who tells me he lost all 5 pairs of my pants. Now, his friend did not speak English so I could not ask him directly how he lost 5 pairs of my pants, but his reply was something along the lines of "I don't know" and "Maybe I left them on the bus". Anyway there was a lot of back and forth after that, a few returns by me to the store and at one point the tailor's offer was that he would make me a suit for only $100 to replace my 5 pairs of pants.

Needless to say I left furious and never returned. You have been warned!

I had an info session to go to and needed my suit done the next morning(was sick and just came from hospital that day), because of the 5 star comment on yelp, I went all the way to this place despite my very sorry body and a stich-it tailor place right next to my building.
By the time I got there, it's 4:10. After we went through everything, when I told him i needed it done the next morning, he laughed and said not possible, making me feel very stupid. It seems to me at that moment that there is no one in the world can do it in such a short period. I begged 3 times and still no.
So I went back to stich-it, the one that just steps away from my home, a lady named Nasirim ( spelling may not be right) help me with it and she said no problem after I tried out the suit .
The owner at Master Tailor was patient, he lets you pick what you like and gives you options. While at stich-it, it's more efficient, I picked the way just how Nasirim picked to alterate my suit.
The price is similar, the owner at Espinosa said suit costs 50 and pants cost 10(don't know if it's with or without tax) while at Stich-it, it costs 59 included tax.
Don't bother going to this place if you need your suit done the next day, the owner will probably said no, otherwise try it out and see if you like it.
For me, I will never go again.
