Our first trip to Crystal Cove Beach Resort, and our family of 3 (child 8yrs old) were super excited! The pictures are exactly as pictured, and the 2 bedroom cabin (C16) was clean and pristine. The highlight was the epic 'private' hot tub, with partial ocean view. We stayed 5 nights and the end of July 2020, and thoroughly enjoyed their beautiful grounds, and proximity to the gorgeous beaches, bike paths, and Tofino. The cabin was perfectly stocked, and even with the Covid measures taken to downsize the kitchen amenities, we were able to get anything extra that we needed, with a 2 minute walk to their office. Very friendly, competent and professional staff, that were always a pleasure to interact with.
It would have been the perfect family get away, if it hadn't been for the two sets of noisy neighbours, 3 out of the 5 days. On our first night, it was an adult porch party at a cabin located behind us, with excessively loud talking and laughing that blasted straight into our bedrooms past midnight (despite the 'strict' 11pm no noise rule). We called the main office, but they close at 10pm, so they didn't get our message until the next morning. They were prompt in returning our message with a text, letting us know they had addressed the noise issue, and it wouldn't happen again. Much appreciated, as it did not happen again.
However, on our last two mornings, the next door neighbours (a family with 3 children under 7 years old) were in their hot tub, (that basically sits at our front door) at 7:45am screaming, yelling and crying at the top of their lungs, for over an hour. I ask you, which noise issue is worse? One that keeps you awake, or one that wakes you up? Being a parent myself, I would NEVER allow any of my children to disturb other guests, especially before 9am. May I remind you, we are steps from a beach, that could act as their playground without disturbing other people. Poor parenting? Sure. But the lack of 'security' that should be present to monitor noise levels on behalf of their guests, especially considering they have a 'strict' noise policy, is disappointing. Nobody is on vacation to parent other people's kids, or drunken adults. For this reason, sadly we won't be returning to Crystal Cove anytime soon. Especially since there is a one year wait for most guest reservations. Restful sleeps are what fuels our active family for the beautiful outdoors and the activities that Tofino has to offer.

Looking for the ultimate romantic getaway? Private hot tub, warm fire, gorgeous views kinda trip? The Crystal Cove Beach Resort in Tofino is an absolute must. But wait! They are also the perfect options for a family trip with kiddos. Rent one of 30+ cabin or tree houses for a week and you'll never want to go back home! This resort has the most amazing staff, they are always smiling and offering to help in anyway they can, whether it's a text to see if you require anything, to opening the door when you've got your hands full! Their property is fully equipped with a playground with tons of fun wooden structures that the kids will love and get hours of play from. Perfectly located steps from the beach and a hop, skip and a jump to town. In their office they have DVD's, board games, coffee, tea, an adorable herb garden just outside the doors and a social area. They even have a box of toys and beach gear for the kids to play with!

Our log cabin was amazing! We were stunned how everything was included in the stay as well. In our private secluded cabin we had a cozy outdoor area to enjoy breakfast and a good book. We had our own BBQ which comes with all the tools you'll need to whip up an amazing BBQ dinner. Our very own private hot tub, we took full advantage of that! It had all the bells and whistles and was the perfect night cap to a great day. Inside we had a massive fireplace with all the wood you require to keep your cabin as warm and cozy as you'd like, we only put one log on and it lasted all night long. Not to mention the rooms were already warm with in-floor heating that kept our toes warm! The shower is beautiful and fits 2 for sure, felt like a rainforest! The bed was massive and super comfy.

I love how they have a full kitchen, it literally includes every single kitchen tool and gadget that you might need to cooking, baking, roasting, BBQ'ing, shall I go on? They even have a Cabin Stocking Program where you leave it to them to stock your cabin so you arrive with groceries and everything you need to settle in! I haven't been to a resort that literally thinks of everything! Missing something? They will ensure it's on your doorstep asap! There is so much to see and do on your vacation to Tofino, but you'll definitely want to set some time aside for perusing around the hotel grounds or just enjoy a cup of coffee on your balcony and enjoy the sweet sounds of the crashing waves and the smell of fresh air. The grounds are well kept with beautiful flowers and not too much clutter to distract from the natural views. You're only steps away from all the outdoor adventures your heart desires, from paddle boarding and kayaking, to hot springs, fishing and hiking.

Bonus, they are pet-friendly and also offer up to 60 private RV spots! Don't have an RV?They have 9 Glamping RV's you can rent as well! It's crazy because there was a vehicle in each spot but I didn't seem many people around, we were truly secluded in our private little nook which nice for a change!

Amazing cabins, super clean and quite cozy. Love their wood burning fireplace. The kitchen was very nicely equipped and well decorated. We stayed in one of the beach cabins and it was magical. We didn't hit any storms, but you didn't need any of that to feel cozy and safe.

Would return if they had better deals like Pacific Sands and/or Long Beach.

Well it's pricey not gonna lie. However I felt it was worth it. We rented a beach front cabin which had decent protection from the elements. (We went mid season right at the tail end of storm season) The cabin itself was a 2 bedroom (king) 1 bath, a hide-a-bed (pretty comfy) with a full kitchen. There was three of us and it was lots of room. The view was spectaular. The deck was decent size. We had a bbq which was nice. They also provided us with lots of wood for beach fires. There is no phones in the cabins so they work off a texting system. I had asked for extra toilet paper which we didn't actually get but I have no problem walking up to get it. The Wi-Fi was free and all three of used it with no issues. I was super happy with our stay and was sad to leave. However if it had been a bit cheaper I would have loved to stay longer.

We just returned from a 5 day stay at the Crystal Cove resort. Our family stayed in a cabin with our two kids, and we had an incredible time. This resort was exactly what we were looking for.

First of all, it is situated in an incredibly beautiful area of the coastline, and the whole resort is just steps away from beautiful beaches and islands to explore. Our kinds LOVED climbing across the tidepools and exploring the nearest island just off the coast.

The cabins themselves are very well appointed, with full working kitchens. (A plus with kids who need food all the time). We had bunks for the kids and a separate loft bed for us. A hottub was just steps away off of the back deck, and we enjoyed it almost every day.

Downtown Tofino is just minutes away by car, and the whole experience ended up being exactly what we had hoped for. Clean, quaint, well appointed, incredibly well situated (from a location perspective), and I have to say that the staff was TOP NOTCH. They were attentive and professional, and invisible when you didn't need them. We felt like we were staying in our own home.

I have to add one last example of 'white glove service' which simply made me want to 'shout at the rooftops' about my experience. Upon checkout, we rushed to get the kids packed up and whisked into the car. On our way to the airport, I realized that I had left a huge pack of smoked salmon in the freezer. (Oh NO!!). I called the desk - they said "no problem" and shipped it to me promptly back in San Francisco.

Go here. You won't be disappointed. This establishment is top notch.

We spent a night here after leaving the Mackenzie Beach Resort (see that review) and we were so grateful to be somewhere clean! It's spendy during the high season at $70 for an RV site but the grounds are beautifully landscaped, it's quiet and has tons of amenities including laundry, bike rental, free hot showers, free fire wood, and a coffee bar on site. Very family friendly and has beach access. The sites are spacious and separated by trees offering privacy and they have full hookups. I wish we could stay for another night but they're booked. Plan ahead if you're traveling this region in the summer!!

We stayed at the crystal cove beach resort for 2 nights in June. The place was almost all booked up when we decided to go, so we were only able to get a beach view cabin (not a beach front), but I am very happy with what we ended up with. The view was amazing and the cabin was also awesome. We took full advantage of the fully equipped kitchen as well as the BBQ on the patio. We also LOVED the hot tub on the patio. The beach was easy to access and a great place to walk around. The main reason we chose this resort was because it was pet friendly; we took our 6 month old puppy and he had an amazing time. The resort provided us with blankets and towels for him, as well as food and water dishes. The place was a bit pricey, but worth every penny!

If you are going to go, then this really is the way to go! Perfectly situated, these cabins are rustic yet modern. The bed was outrageously comfortable, and the private hot tub under the stars while looking at the beach was a treat! Even the playground for the children was fantastic. Very non-intrusive staff, and the cabin came equipped with everything necessary. We had a wonderful day and we will be back!

This place is awesome, and we had a wonderful stay here. The hihglight was the sunset on Mackenzie beach which was sublime. I was here on my maiden trip with friends. We stayed here saturday night, in a two bedroom beachfront cabin. The pad was comfortable and clean. The beds were big and comfy, and we had a full kitchen with everything you can need for a meal along with a bar-be-que on the deck and a fireplace (they place chopped firewood in your cabins with kindling making it super easy). We decided to give it a pass, but we saw a ton of people doing bonfires on the beach. The staff is courteous. They have a bunch of options for borrowing boardgames and renting DVDs available at the front desk. It is not cheap and our cabin was 589 with taxes for a night, but if you are 5 people like us you can cut back costs. They also have glamping options in rented RVs and cabins, which are not beach front, but I would strongly recommend staying by the water. I am already thinking of returning in winter for storm watching. They have cabins with hot tubs on the deck too! They provide complimentary coffee and tea at their starbucks coffeeshop, and are pet friendly.
