Each time I bring my electric Audi E-tron GT in for service I am assured by the staff that I will NOT be charged for the gas I use with the loaner car. And each time a charge appears on my credit card for gas! I keep getting told that this charge will be reversed but that never happens.
End result: I'll be taking my car elsewhere next time it needs service - to a dealership that doesn't charge me for the gas used with the loaner.
Truthfully, I don't even care about the charge. What bothers me is being lied to.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 25, 2023Previous reviewAnyone considering the purchase of an electric vehicle from Audi should read this review first.
Unlike Tesla, Ford and GM, Audi is unable to perform software updates over home Wi-Fi and requires instead that it be physically done at the dealership. In my case, this took five full days for my Audi E tron GT. Apparently the technicians were stumped and outside help had to be called in.
My time is valuable and the service experience has been a litany of inconveniences:
- 5 days to complete a software update.
- 4 days to install a new front camera which was previously ordered and at the dealer.
- 2 1/2 days to replace the emergency SOS call SYSTEM module. The emergency call system is working but the annoying "SOS warning light/alarm" is still on and has been for 4 months now. Not a single Audi technician can figure out how to resolve this.
Conclusion:
In addition to the time inconveniences, Audi clearly has software issues that they are either unable or unqualified to resolve - the technicians and the service manager may have tried their best, but to no avail. I've completely lost confidence in the brand. Unfortunately at this point, the utter frustration I've had is enough to stop me from getting another Audi once my lease is up in 2 years. It's a pity because I love the way the E tron GT drives.Jan 13, 2023Previous reviewAnyone considering the purchase of an electric vehicle from Audi should read this review first.
Unlike Tesla, Ford and GM, Audi is unable to perform software updates over home Wi-Fi and requires instead that it be physically done at the dealership. Responding to a software update request, I left my 2022 Audi E Tron GT at Audi Midtown for the anticipated '2 hour software update'. It's been five days now and the technicians are stumped on how to perform this task. A top level specialist technician has been called in from company headquarters and I'm presently awaiting their call.
I've learned an important lesson here. A high-end EV is a sophisticated 'computer on wheels' that is best purchased from a technology company, not a legacy car company like Audi. This isn't a plug for Tesla, but now I know better for the future. - Irene I.Toronto, ON0111Oct 22, 2022
My experience at Audi Midtown was A++ from the beginning to the end!
Simon Wai was professional and polite and everyone that I dealt with at this dealership was also great.
I ordered the Navarra Blue Q5 SUV and I am very happy with my new vehicle. I was also happy that my first choice of colour and model was available.
This car dealership is very large and this means that they have a larger selection of cars to choose from than other dealerships.
I visited 4 other dealerships and Audi midtown was the best experience out of all places I visited.
My vehicle was priced right and there was no high pressure sales tactics used, like I experienced at two other dealerships.
I was pleasantly surprised when my car arrived earlier than expected. I only had to wait 3 weeks for my new car and this is unheard of during these Covid days with Supply Chain delays.
I also got a good trade in offer on my old car as well.
I can't say enough good things about the Audi Midtown team and Simon Wai!
Thank You!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Zack I.Vaughan, ON13726692253Aug 7, 2021
Great dealership, nice, clean and neat!
This review is about the establishment and the showrooms here which are amazing! Multiple floor, a beauty piece of art!
Extremely busy, so always keep in mind that you'll be late, they do offer aggressive pricing and will do whatever to get you a deal!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Raj J.Old Toronto, Toronto, ON02Oct 29, 2023
Pretty disappointed with the service at this dealership and I would never buy car from here again or go to their service department. I bought a brand new 2023 Audi RS7 from Audi Midtown. When I went to pick it up there were issues with the remote starter they installed which took hours from them to resolve and I never got any introduction to the car as a result. I emailed them to get an introduction to the equipment in the car a week later and no one responded. I then called for my first service appointment a couple of months later and I was told the first appointment they had was 3 weeks away with no flexibility for an earlier appointment. I then called Audi Downtown and they offered me a number of appointments in the following few days. Audi Midtown obviously doesn't need the business.

This is by far the worst, most dishonest and greedy dealer I have ever worked with. I have used them for oil changes and other services for years. (Too trust worth, unwise on my part, its way too over priced spend thousands of $$$$) They have lots of up-sale schemes. I have 1 nail in my tire they told me its "unfixable" so I have to replace the whole tire which cost more than $600(after a discount they said). I went to an independent store they fixed it up for $40 said no problem at all. Its an older car doesnt make anything senses to replace it for now. Never ever use their service department unless its free. The sales/service person Juris can lie to you in a straight face. They work on commissions too. Go to an reputable auto shop, you would be much happier.

Came here to service my car. It was a great experience trying this dealership for the first time. I normally go for my annual maintenance uptown but wanted to try this one since it was new.
The service was impeccable. Drove in and was immediately guided to park my car in the garage. Then got my stuff before heading to the service department to check in. Once done, we went to the refreshments area which was generously stocked.
They have 2 shuttles and also an onsite car rental but we chose the shuttle. Since it was busy, they requested an uber to drop us off at our destination. The service was quick since it only took 3 hours before they called to let me know.
The checkout was easy after the uber service back to the dealership. The uber was quick especially with the corporate account which I assume has priority. When I saw my car washed, it looked brand new. Will be back again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mike Y.North York, Toronto, ON37Feb 2, 2022
Service is really bad here. I bought my car here with a good salesperson so decided to do my services here. Even though I got the service warranty which I bought from them when I purchased the car, there's still like parts and trivial charges for the service, that added up to ~$40, but would be nice if they can let us know at drop off, rather than when picking up the car and told me to pay for those.
They could have done a better job with the car wash which is complimentary, but, not sure what happened, my car was just still dirty as before after their wash, literally they just splashed on the car and done.
Since they couldn't complete the service in a day, they offered me a rental from Enterprise, the service was bad too. The guy said the gas tank is full, I drove home which is only 5km away, and the tank dropped on bar, was the tank even full? Then in total I drove around 40km over one night, I got charged with gas for $30 with the prepaid over the counter lower gas price, huh!??!?!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Val L.Markham, ON159108890Nov 30, 2018
Friendly staff- greeted right away unlike Audi uptown where they won't even look at you. I like the drive thru service garage rather than having to look for parking when getting serviced.
Clean and nice open waiting area- very sleek. Told them about my very stiff suspensions for my service and they fixed it. They even left a bottle of washer fluid in my car. I know, it's nothing major but every small gesture showing you care about the customer is appreciated!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David C.SoMa, San Francisco, United States01Dec 18, 2021
My audi Q7 had brake pad light went on. I went to near by dealer (Midtown audi) and ask for the break pad replacement. They told me that front brake job cost $1,800 and rear brake job cost $1,200. I asked why so expensive? The service advisor told me that both pads and the rotors must be replaced. I told the service advisor that the rotors were replaced at last brake job. Do you replace the rotors at every brake pad replacement job? The service advisor said they have to replace the rotors.
