We found it! Just follow the directions carefully from your GPS and drive slowly through the Presidio in San Francisco. ..

The guard at the entrance was so nice and helpful!  He told us where to park, pointed out the building,  and encouraged us to go inside and take photos!  I didn't know what the guard was referring to. ..we just said we were there to see the Yoda Fountain and he gave us free parking!

We didn't know that we were at LucasFilms Headquarters!

My main goal was the fountain... It's Yoda!!!  I don't remember how I learned about it.  It just sounded cool to me and I wanted to see it for myself!  It's worth the trip. ..especially when you go inside the building!!!

While in the Presido during an SF picnic day the honey decided he wanted to see the Lucasfilms area with the Yoda fountain.

We were waved through by security and after wandering a bit, finally found the little corner this fountain was in. Yoda had gorgeous shrubbery and trees beside him, and the fountain itself was quite serene. It was a nice way to wrap up our Presido adventure - though like Yoda before me, I must admit:

"Afraid, not much there is to say, about my journey."

I can't believe I only saw this now! As I left the theater, I remember the Yoda fountain was in the Presidio so I asked my friend to direct us here! We were able to get free parking (since we were less than 45 mins stay) & walked over to the fountain! Yoda is life size!! It's awesome seeing him on top of a water fountain! I also didn't realize he was right outside LucasFilms HQ! Which I was able to go inside & look around!

We were instantly greeted by a Stormtrooper replica & I started to geek out & take photos with every replica & of every book case. There's a section not opened for the public though. I definitely enjoyed being inside for a moment!

This place is definitely for every Star Wars Fan! :)

Totally one of those "hidden" gems in the Presidio. You can find it right outside of one of the main buildings of ILM in the Presidio. It's a little hard to find, but that makes it even more fun once we found it! Yoda "spouts" out water & wisdom. ;)

The Mister is a huge Star Wars fan, so of course, we had to seek out Yoda and take a picture. Mission accomplished, yes we did!

Yoda. Lucasfilms. Wars of the Stars, yes I'm a superfan...but this was a bit underwhelming.

I never knew Lucasfilms HQ was located literally inside Presidio Park in SF! That was pretty cool information. Came here with a friend and tried to do as many touristy things that day. It was a Sunday morning I believe, and when we drove inside Presidio Park after checking out The Spire and Inspiration Point, we knew we had to hit up our main man Yoda!

There was a super friendly security dude who answered out question with a slight smirk when we asked if this was the place with Yoda. He nodded and gestured that we could park inside, so we were lucky enough to get parking a few feet away from Yoda while having a nice peek inside the glass windows of a part of Lucasfilms HQ.

I heard they also give guest tours during working hours, so weekends are obviously going to be less exciting. BUT if you're here on a weekend, you can easily see the Yoda fountain and get a great view of the Palace of Fine Arts as you walk around the impossibly green campus of LucasFilms (we're in a drought, people).

Europeans in bikes and segways saddle up next to Yoda. He is a tourist destination, but finding him is a bit like looking for Waldo. He's not located in a high traffic tourist spot, but for those who seek out yoda, he patiently waits for you in front of Lucas Films HQ.

"The force is not strong in her"....mumbled G. as he told me to put down my phone/map to locate the Yoda fountain on the ILM/Letterman Digital Arts Center campus in the Presidio.

Then, we found him...that little green muppet, voiced by Frank Oznowicz* that everyone loves (even CGI Yoda). And, well, we took pictures and just sat there. It's quite tranquil...even with all the other devotees, er, tourists who made the pilgrimage to get a glimpse and snap pics of this film icon. I mean, really, he *is* an icon...you can't not love this 900+ year old Jedi Master. And, you can't help but quote Yoda when you see him. I felt like a little kid, sitting there, basking in the glow of the Jedi...hoping that maybe, just maybe, I'd get a little wisdom from sitting in such close proximity. It's silly, but, hey, that's part of the magic of Star Wars. Thank you, Mr. Lucas.

*Did you know that George Lucas didn't even want to use Frank Oz to voice Yoda at first? Then, after many other auditions he called Frank back and said he wanted to use him in Empire Strikes Back. Whew!

I loved seeing the yoda fountain, who knew?!
A local told us about it and I didn't think they would let us in but they  did, the staff was super nice and the parking attendant even joked with us about it. Free parking, awesome quick stop for any Lucas fan who wishes to geek out.
Staff here is very nice, I would not recommend bringing small children into the offices.

I'm a big Star Wars fan! I just had to come to LucasFilm HQ and see the Yoda Fountain. Awesome! We were able to see Darth Vader and Boba Fett too!  Pretty cool geeky stuff.

"Do our do not. There is no try." If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll appreciate a visit here. It's a beautiful campus too.

This Yoda fountain is indeed a great delight to Star Wars fans. It's in an alcove near Building B.  Outside the door, there is a badge reader and if you fail at accessing the code to enter the building eventually Yoda will start talking from it with a recorded message.

After visiting here, I had the Weird Al song "Yoda" stuck in my head the rest of the day.

Yoda told me to come and I did. I've been to this place twice and it was worth it each time.

It's pretty much a Fountain with Yoda. That's it. Yup, that's it. However, if you're a Star Wars fan as I am, you will be entranced with the awe that is Yoda. It's honestly a great statue and I really enjoy looking at it.

We asked a few people leaving the building if there was a way of actually going and getting a tour inside the building and they told us no. Still, it was worth it just for Yoda.

Live long and prosper Yoda statue!

If a true Star Wars fan you are, journey you must to see the Yoda fountain.  Loved it my kids did. And. So. Did. I.

It is a great statue. If you don't love Star Wars, you'll just be like, "Big deal".

"And that is why you fail."
"When 900 years old you reach, look this good you will not."

Please don't go if you do not love the master. Have respect as it is on the grounds of a campus.  "Adventure. Excitement. A Jedi craves not these things." I don't want to come back to visit and find the fountain off limits because tour buses started going.

Yes, I am a ginormous geek.

It's yoda!  and it's open to the public.  A great "FREE" Star Wars stop for any fan.  If you've got friends in town surprise them with a quick stop by here :)

Might be boring if you are not a Star Wars fan, but well worth the 1 mile walk from other local attractions.

If you park by the Walt Disney family museum, you can partake in the food truck fests on weekends and walk to Lucasfilm HQ.  From there you can walk down to the Palace of Fine Arts or the 3-4 mile trek to Golden Gate Park.  There is a lot to explore.

The statue itself is smaller than it looks online but quite nice.  If you are a hard core fan, this is a great pilgrimage.

Since we were staying at the Inn at the Presidio I had to pay homage to the Yoda fountain.

After taking some fun pics near Yoda and all of his greatness we decided to go into the lobby and view the other cool memorabilia Lucas HQ had on display. There's a life size Vader and Boba Fett that is a photo must! There's also some great framed posters on display that you've likely never seen.

After about 15 minutes in the lobby we explored the grounds a bit and really enjoyed the brisk walk. There are a few statues of film icons to visit and if you have a chance you can visit the Lucas HQ Starbucks. How cool is that?!

If you have an hour to kill I highly recommend visiting Yoda and the lobby of treasures. It was a fun stop on our way to some of the other fun SF activities.

If you like Star Wars and appreciate the work of George Lucas and his company this is a must do!

There's nothing much to saw except it's hella cool to go see a statue of Yoda and Lucasfilm.  If you're a nerd like me you'll understand.   It's not that hard to find.  Just map it on your phone and look for the guard house.  The guard inside was very nice and told us exactly where to go and what was open.

The famous yoda fountain was very cool but you have to go inside the lobby behind the fountain as well to see all the lightsabers from the main characters, figurines, life side Darth Vader and Bobba Fett.  After you get done you can walk around the buildings.  You can see inside a lot of meeting rooms and office spaces and see little nick nacks the employees have.  I thought it was AWESOME.  My gf, not so much, but I'm glad she came with me.

The ground are exceptionally well kept and worth a walk around if you have time.  Very beautiful scenery and you can find little hidden statues and things around.

Its crazy how something so simple can cause someone so much happiness to see.  If you are a Star Wars geek like me go and see this and feel your heart soar.  It doesn't take long but worth every minute.

Definitely something everyone should do if you visit SF!! Cool little statue of Yoda, life-sized, that was done by the students at the Letterman School for Digital Arts.

After you're done seeing the statue, there's a garden nearby that's really cool to walk thru, seems very Japanese & very beautiful. And the Palace of the Fine Arts is a short walk away.

I heart Star Wars, I heart Star Wars.  "A padawan no more a Master I am."  Ahhh... I get super stoked when I am here. Free movie screening, courtesy of the boyfriend who is employed here.  I cannot wait to see the new SW movie.  Oh it will be epic, beyond epic.  I am totally geeking out about this.  What can I say about this glorious place, its clean and everyone just appears to be peachy.  I love that George Lucas is enhancing the Presidio neighborhood and all of the new development will bring in more beauty  to this lovely area, not that it needs it because it is already picturesque out here.  "May the force be with you."
