Specialties Quality late night pizza on Capitol Hill. Classic and unique combinations using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. A variety of vegan and vegetarian options, with gluten free crust available on whole pie orders. Whole pies and pizza by the slice, to go, or to enjoy here. History Established in 2010 in Portland, 2016 in Seattle. We're proud to bring delicious, sizzling pizza to Seattle. We respect the classics but also offer a variety of more adventurous pies. There's something cozy and casual about pizza, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't class it up a bit with truffle oil and chevre (okay, goat cheese). Stop in late for a slice and a beer--we're open until midnight Sunday-Wednesday and all the way till 2:30am Thursday-Saturday. Everything is prepared with care using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. If you're vegan or vegetarian you won't be disappointed. Violife and Follow Your Heart vegan "cheese" as well as fresh house made vegan cheese substitutes, vegan "meats" and a pleasantly nutty basil cashew sauce are just a few options.…

6/20/2019Alright, I'm going to go ahead and say it because it's true. I have lived in New York for 15 years and have been traveling regularly between in Seattle and New York for the last year. This is the ONLY place in seattle that sells New York style pizza that actually tastes at all like a slice you would get in New York, (the only one I've found so far anyway).
The slices are twice the price of slices in New York (A plain slice in New York is $2.75. They have always been the same price as one subway swipe. That has remained true for decades. When subway fare goes up a quarter, Pizza slices magically go up a quarter as well. And yes, New York slices are just as big as the slices at sizzle pie. They've got the size perfect actually.) So yeah, the downside is they are twice the price in Seattle as they are in New York City for the same thing, but hey. Beggars can't be too picky. I guess, they can charge what they want if they are the only pizza place in Seattle that actually sells a New York style slice!
I am so happy this place exists and I can finally get a decent slice in Seattle. Seattle has some really good stone oven and Italian style pizza places. But for a New York style slice, this is it! And it is really really good.
They have lots of different options from super packed pizzas to an especially tasty plain cheese slice. The dough is the perfect consistency. Crispy on the edges and a just a little chewy on the inside. I'm going to be back again and again.
Now where do I get a decent bagel around these parts? - 435237379
8/22/2019TLDR: It's pretty good pizza! Workers here are a little bit off though and like other people said, if they get busy, they seem to get super frazzled.
My order: Pepperoni pizza + Caesar salad combo ~$10
Pros:
-We went for an early dinner, so we didn't need to wait, but it did take awhile for the pizza to come out
-Crust is pretty good
-Lots of seating, I'm sure it's a great drunchie area in the late night
-Not too oily
Cons:
-Value for me isn't there, pricier end, and there's not much salad (a lot of croutons for no reason)
-Workers here seem a little off, heard one person flipping out to another person about a Caviar order in the dining area...
-Takes awhile for the workers to get the pizza out, not sure why - 1943211814
5/26/2019I went here for one of my friends birthdays. I had never been before or heard of it so there were not preconceived assumptions about what it was going to be like. They have a small porch where you can eat outside and seems super cool for those warm or hot summer days/nights. The tables inside are in a communal style. Seat yourself, sit at a table with your group or share a table with others if it is crowded.
Our group had ordered 2 custom vegan pizzas. Both pizzas were delicious! The quality of ingredients were good and I often crave those same pizzas we had. The garlic knots were also pretty good if you are a garlic and bread lover.
The only complaint is the wait for the pizzas. The kitchen seemed unorganized and quite frankly stressed. They completely miss placed one of our pizzas so we ended up waiting forever for one of them. The other, that they did not lose, they also had us waiting for almost an hour. There were others standing around who had been waiting for their take out for quite some time and getting frustrated. My recommendation would be to go here when you have time. Don't go when you're in a rush. - 11226174793
4/9/2019Come for the pizza, but be pleasantly surprised with the rabbits salad!
I'm a fan of Sizzle Pie and am glad this PDX-based joint has made a home in Seattle. Known primarily for its vegan pies and salads, even this carnivore can appreciate and enjoy the food here. If you really can't handle the vegan or vegetarian options, don't fret. There are meat options here.
In my most recent visit I ordered a seasonal slice with mushrooms and sausage with a side of rabbits salad. The pizza was thin-sliced, which is how I prefer my pizzas and had a nice crispy crust. The pizzas here, like the one I most recently had, are never greasy; but it still has lots of flavor. i dig that. But if I implore anything of you at Sizzle Pie, it's to get a side of the rabbits salad. Yes, it's vegan with a vegan ranch and faux bacon bits. But somehow, the salad is irresistible. I love the greens with some added spice from the sliced hot peppers, which works well with the chilled vegan ranch dressing. The fake bacon bits added a nice crunch, as did the house-made croutons. I love that at Sizzle Pie you can get a combo, a slice of pizza with a side of salad. A well-balanced meal, if you ask me.
Glad Portland decided to share Sizzle Pie with Seattle. I always enjoy my experience when I visit this Capitol Hill location. P.S. - Dogs are allowed. YASSSS QUEEN! - 3952301510
11/25/2018I very much enjoyed Sizzle Pie in Portland but this location in Cap Hill was a supreme disappointment. Being an Italian New Yorker, my standard for pizza is so high you won't be able to believe. It's out of control. So, ever since I moved to WA, I've been looking for anything remotely comparable to the style I'm used to.
I had first tried Sizzle Pie in Portland after my friend said, "Come on and try it, it's just like New York style!" Okay it's close. It was really good. But...what I had at this location in WA was burnt and felt like it was reheated and left cold several times until I got it. I went during dinner time when it was fairly busy so why was my basic pepperoni pizza burned? I just don't really understand what happened to be honest.
The staff was nice, the decor was interesting, but I don't know if I want to go back at all. - 426163847
5/8/2018This is for terrible service and food. My entire group of friends except for maybe one received inedible pizza. Please see the video - it tasted like cardboard and was so hard and burnt. It seemed like they were just trying to get rid of old pizza. Why would you serve your customers something you yourself aren't even able to eat?
One of my friends went back there to try to ask for another and it took forever. The pizza also was not even tasty when it was cooked properly.Business owner information

Hello Lyna,
I sincerely apologize for the slice of pizza that you were given and the bad service, this is not how I would like our customer's treated.
Can you reach out to me at jasonk@sizzlepie.com? I would like to gather more details about his incident.
Thanks, - 661355
7/22/2019I am very glad this place exists for my vegan friends. However, since I have more options, I would prefer to not return.
When I went, I was attending a get together at the brewery next door. A group of us went to grab a few slices to bring back. The six of us each purchased one slice and a couple salads to go. Although the pizzas are already made and the slices just get reheated, it still took nearly 30 minutes to get them. The service is just really lacking. I'm not sure if it's a lack of training or adequate staffing, but they seem to just be running around unsure of what to be doing at any given point.
To start, the salad was very good! I really enjoyed the caesar dressing! The pizza though, was pretty underwhelming. I tried the pepperoni and white walker, and between the two would recommend the white walker. They were both still cold when we received them, but we weren't about to extend our wait. The pepperoni was a very bland pizza with a lot of grease. Now greasy pizza is generally fine, but not when the its cold and congealed. The white walker faired better in being cold, but wasn't so excellent that I would return for it.
I hope that they can sort out their staffing issues so that they can focus on making better pizzas.Business owner information

Sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience, Christine. Unfortunately service does take a little longer on the weekends as Sizzle Pie is a verrrry popular spot. I recommend calling ahead & ordering so you don't have to wait in line. Bummer that our pizza recipe isn't your thing, but I'm glad to hear your friends like it. Hope you find whatever it is you're looking for!

6/2/2019Looking for a late night bite stop no further they have great deals and delicious pizza. I got the slice and salad deal for about 8 bucks you can't beat anywhere else in town. Another great option is the beer which they have many local choices on tap. My only complaint was that they expect people to clean up after themselves and bus their own table. Some people leave messes behind and the staff don't have time to come wipe down tables. For the price and convenience I'd come back again.

4/19/2019I'd never heard of a pizza place open until the wee hours of the morning until this gem.
We stopped by with less than an hour until closing, between 2 and 3 a.m. By this point in the night, the incredibly kind and down-to-earth waitstaff offered us our pizza for free, as they didn't want the remaining food to go to waste so late. I thought this was such a sweet gesture!
To compound the greatness, they ask you for a lucky number upon ordering, which they then use as a call number for when your pizza is ready. I found this to be a cool concept. :)
They offer pizza by the slice and by the cut. A cut is half of a slice, and thus cheaper. I got two slices myself; one called Spiral Tap, which was a vegan option with house-made marinara, caramelized onion spread, and a dusting of nutritional yeast. Delicious! The other was classic cheese. :D
The menu rotates, and there is merch available for purchase hanging on the wall to the right when you walk in.
Can't wait to go back! - 343235456
7/28/2019nothing too special, good on a late night after the club. the lines get super long but they do have vegan options which is cool! you can get a cut or a slice. the cuts are smaller & like $3.00 the slice is bigger & like $5 this isn't the best pizza place in my opinion but the slices are pretty big! 5/5 for the portion sizes
people tend to trash this place, especially when they are drunk so don't expect it to be super clean & tidyBusiness owner information

Hey Amira! Happy to hear that our pizza at least gets you through a night of clubbing. Thank you for noticing that the drunk kids are the ones trashing the restaurant, our staff is generally good at keeping up on tidying the place but it can be difficult with a line out to the sidewalk! Next time you're crazing some pie try ordering off our website for pick up! You can get whatever pizza your heart desires & it will be fresh when you arrive.
