The reviews for Eric are legit!!! He is the best in the biz. I'm new to Boston and found him through Groupon for a Brazilian Blowout. Needless to say, I will be going back. My hair is not easy to manage, but Eric made it seem effortless. He was quick but meticulous and showed true expertise. I left with gorgeously smooth, perfect hair! I am no longer stressed about finding the right salon in Boston! And by the way, the other customers were all leaving very happy as well!!

Beware Erik and the Brazilian Blowout. He charged me an extra $100 over the Groupon-total cost $200 +$40 tip. Looked great! - until I washed my hair 4 days later and it all washed out. Followed his instructions to the letter. Called both Andover and Boston number. Left message. No return call. Save your money and go somewhere else where it's not so sketchy.

I had a Groupon for a Brazilian Blowout. Eric did a great job! It's clear he knows what he's doing. The salon had a super friendly atmosphere....everyone knew everyone, it really felt like a small town. I'll definitely be back.

Awful experience. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE staff who are far from accommodating. They don't even have a working voicemail so you just have to call until someone picks up. I would not reccommend this place to anyone.

Ask for Eric! Best haircut EVER! He first began by assessing my original color, cut, damage, etc. and gave me his opinion on what we should do now or in the future. I had come in for the Brazilian Blowout and decided to get a little snip to rid myself of the split ends. Having the same haircut for years, Eric gave me a fresh, new look after listening to my concerns. The outcome was a sleek, frizz free 'do along with a hot cut! WOW what a difference! Love it!! Eric is an absolute perfectionist so you can be sure that you'll get the unique look you're going for. Just make sure to listen to his ideas! So happy I did. P.S- that the bus in. There IS a parking lot right next door plus street parking but it can be pricy when you stay over 3 hours.

I got the Brazilian blowout, it didn't even last 2 weeks my hair was back to normal this was so disappointing not coming back here again. The girl who did my hair was ok, not nice not rude attitude could be better... more welcoming and friendly. I also had a groupon but they refused to take it so ended up paying full price 200 bucks and honestly it wasn't worth it. My hair feels rough and frizzy after almost 2 weeks literally like I did nothing to it. The first week my hair felt so perfect and straight and soft.

3 words : ERIC IS A GOD ... Oh wait that's 4. But SERIOUSLY!!! I have NEVER had a better experience in any other salon in my life. I'm not just saying that either! Not just the finished product, but everything from the energy in this salon to the quality of the work is nothing short of fabulous!!!! MUST GO SEE ERIC HOWARD for the best hair experience of your life! Ask about the AQUA extensions too! They are unreal! I wish I could give this salon and Eric 500 stars!!! But it will only allow me to give 5 :(

I have had my share of terrible experiences with North End salons. One left me with skunk like highlights while another made me incredibly uncomfortable. I found Salon Mirabella through Groupon and I will MOST DEFINITELY be back. A previous review commented on the decor and honestly, I don't care much about the decor. What matters is good service. Bridget did my eyebrow wax [a last minute request] and she did an amazing job! My eyebrows look amazing and she listened to my requests. She was friendly and I have certainly found my new go-to waxing spot. Eric was fantastic. He examined my [badly colored and very damaged hair] from root to end. He knew what was done to my hair before I even told him all of my ridiculous hair stories. He sat down and listened to what it was that I wanted, and outlined a plan with me before starting anything. This put me at ease immediately. Eric was kind and genuinely friendly the entire time. He wasn't talking to me just to "pretend" to be interested. I was never awkwardly uncomfortable as I have been at other North End salons. My color [a blend of two colors] is absolutely gorgeous. It is exactly what I wanted/needed. My cut is also fantastic as Eric sectioned and cut my hair with amazing precision. His meticulous nature really shines through in his work. Gina handled my blow dry and she was wonderful! She is very personable and did a great job with my blow-out. I really look forward to my next haircut and have finally found my new salon :-)

Overall: great! A little hard to find, but a great location when you do! Granted, I have longer, thicker hair, so I'm used to paying extra sometimes for color. However, I bought the Groupon for single process color, cut, and blow dry. Thanks to Yelp, I knew I could only go Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which I was totally fine with (I understand that Groupon comes with limits!) When I finally found it, I was told the color was only roots and was extra to pull the color all the way through (though that's not what a single process color is) and I didn't ask the price. I guess I assumed it would be $20-$30 per other places. BUT I was charged an EXTRA $65 at the salon, so with the Groupon price + the $65, I ended paying more than or equal to a full price cut + color. My hair looked AWESOME and beautiful and Gina did a beautiful job with my cut and color, but I was super disappointed by the extra charge, especially as a student who buys Groupons for a reason!

Great experience!! I have long, super-thick hair that hadn't been dyed for about a year and was dead and overgrown. Gina did a great job coloring my hair and breathing new life into it. She was also very flexible and spent the bulk of the afternoon on my hair. Great customer service and skill!

This was my first time coming into Salon Mirabella, I am beyond impressed with the outcome! I showed Eric a couple pictures of the color I wanted and he performed a very thorough foiling. I'm absolutely in love with my new highlights! They are natural-looking and the color is radiant! He knows what he is doing!!! I included a picture of the magnificent work! All the staff is very friendly, I will definitely be back for Eric's expertise!!

I'm Dominican and I have Dominican curly hair. I came in to the salon thinking "Why did I do this? They're not gonna be able to handle my hair". My hair was dry, damaged and tangled up like crazy. Eric has lots of experience with natural curly hair and I can attest! He made my hair look healthy and beautiful. It was magic! He suggested a hair color treatment that wouldn't damage my hair and gave me an awesome cut. Always listened to me and never did anything before I approved it. I'm very impressed with his work.

Had a fantastic experience with Eric. Went in for a cut/highlights off a Groupon. Eric was really consultative, respectful of my wants but also helpful. Everything turn out perfectly. Can't wait to go back! Everyone was so friendly and put me at ease in a way that's hard to feel in most salons. Only drawback was that they only book Groupons on Tuesday, Wednesday and some Saturdays. Worked out fine for me but should put that on the Groupon site. Definitely going back. Great place and good prices.

Eric is a miracle worker. My hair felt very dead and dry after losing a lot of it recovering from surgery and he somehow made it feel full and healthy again. The color is beautiful and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Besides it being slightly difficult to find, I had a fantastic experience at Salon Mirabella. I found the salon when I purchased a groupon for partial dye, haircut, deep conditioning, and blow out. The service was great and the staff was sincerely welcoming. I'd definitely go back!

Came in with a living social for a spa mani-pedi. Bridget did both my nails and toe nails and she was so sweet. I wish I could give this place a better review because all of the staff was so amazing, however the decor and quality of the mani/pedi just wasn't great. Also, the "sterilizer" they used for their nail products had other people's nail clippings floating around. Decor: this place has not been updated since the 70's and you literally get your pedicure in a closet while sitting in an office chair. They don't have a foot spa but more a bin of water. Very cramped and a bit awkward to sit in. The whole place is literally a flash back to the 70's and in need of some SERIOUS renovations. They also don't have nail dryers which is a bit strange. Service: Bridget was extremely nice. She listened and was easy to talk to. She took time to massage me and make sure everything was relaxing. The actual painting and shaping of the nails (which is really the part that matters) was pretty bad. Paint all over my cuticles and the first coat didn't quite go to the end of my nail. You can also see the second coat because it wasn't evenly applied. The nails were shaped round when I specifically asked for square. Long story short- super nice staff, but not the best technique.

I've been coming to see Gina for almost a year now and I have never been so happy with my hair! She is an amazing stylist! I highly recommend Salon Mirabella!

I have lived in the North End of Boston for three years and have done an exhaustive search for a decent stylist - NO luck. Then I stumbled upon Salon Mirabella at Lewis Wharf. Eric is an amazing stylist there with over 25 years of experience. His enthusiasm and creativity make him the best stylist that I personally have ever had - and I've lived in many cities. You will not only appreciate his expertise but also his easy going and comfortable way of relating to his customers. Can't rave enough about him!!
