The part to replace was $260 and I found it online for a fraction of the cost afterwards.
I give two stars because the mechanic was friendly and did fix the problem, but all in cost me almost $600 for a very simple repair.

Clay, thank you for your honest feedback. Although we are happy to see that your appliance was fixed, we are devastated to hear that you were overcharged. Your particular job took place at a time before our company instituted fixed, transparent pricing where the head office sets the pricing - and not individual technicians. Vlad K.Toronto, ON1291/15/2017I was having a problem with my Frigidaire fridge and am really glad I found these guys. The freezer was cold but the fridge was not, and every few days water would leak out onto my floor. I called two other repair companies and was told that it would be a while before they could send someone out and even that "it didn't make sense to try and repair" my fridge. I spoke with Alex at Man with a Wrench and he didn't give me any excuses - we just set up a time for the following day. I must not have had the best experience with repairmen in the past because I was surprised with their punctuality. Very quickly they identified a bad part (the fan in the bottom freezer) and were able to replace it right away. They also confirmed that the faulty fan did no damage to the electrical board. All-in-all, a very efficient service and I'm extremely happy with the entire process. Thanks!
