To date, this is definitely my favorite bar in San Francisco... because it reminds of the neighborhood bars back home in Chicago.

It's chill, it's a little dingy but in the coolest way, It's really dark inside so you'll look great no matter how you actually look and they serve alcohol so you'll end up feeling great no matter how you actually feel. Oh, and I should mention they have a lava lamp and bar snacks if you get there early enough (helloooo complimentary shelled peanuts, pretzels, and goldfish crackers!).

    The bartenders here a babes.
They don't have a drink menu and def don't ask about one.
What you see is what you get and what you get are a handful of solid beers on tap, a few wine options, and oodles upon oodles of hard alcohol options...
though I've always gotten the same thing: Moscow Mule.

It's affordable and it's casual but you could also go for a sexy date and it would still work perfectly... plus, it's kitty corner from my favorite restaurant in San Francisco (Hoffmann's... def check it out) so you can really make a night out of it. One time I came with friends and we started the night at Lone Palm, left for dinner, and then came back to Lone Palm to close out the night because they do it right here.

Mellow crowd, sassy bartenders and a poor man's romantic decor. Don't ask for a cocktail menu because there isn't one. But don't be worried, the beverages are powerful.

Good for dates, catch ups and family gatherings. This is not a place for bro-downs. Enjoy it while it lasts and see you soon.

My favorite bar in Noe Valley... Love the atmosphere and the staff is very kind.

Can be a good amount of tinder dates on certain nights. Weekdays are where this bar shines!

Cool bar. Very Dashiell Hammett. Makes me want to call ladies "dames."

Decent drinks at decent prices. Dark setting, good place for a date or getting together with a small group of friends. Quality of drinks is a little hit or miss but this place remains an under-appreciated mission gem.

Cheap drinks, dim lights, germ infested snacks on the tables! This place is chill, low key and I'd say great for a tinder date you can't be bothered to spend money on. Well drinks around $4.50. Came on a Sunday night, place was full of tinder-dates. White table cloths and candles snazz it up just a bit. Bar is long with a lone palm on the end, just as name suggests. I'd come back or make this my local dive bar hang out.

I love this place! It's great for a first date, because it's quiet enough to actually hear the person across the table. Sometimes it takes a while to get a drink, but the drinks are made well, and they are not too expensive. I like having table cloths and candles on the table. Can't call this place a dive, because it's chill and nice. But it's definitely a throw-back, if you like that sort of thing. (I do.)

I'm taking one star off, because the bathroom is clean but tiny. And I really do want my drinks made faster.

There are so many places I won't go back to now that this place is on my list.

Love this place. It was great when I was in my early 20s, and still great now that I'm in my early 30s. Great bar for a date, a small group gathering, an intimate birthday celebration. Or mingling at the bar. The drinks are very reasonably priced, especially for SF. Get here early (before 9pm) if you want to snag a table on a Friday or a Saturday night.

Ordered a drink, gave a nice tip, asked for new pretzels since the bowl in front of me was pretty gross, and the bartender proceeded to insult me for my request with unjustified hostility.  One of those situations where you realize the other person must be going through some rough times in life, but since they let it affect their job and interaction with me, I have to rate this poorly and will never come back.

This place is SCREAMING 70's to me!!

70's vibes all the way. White tablecloths draped over every candlelit table. Black and white Charlie Chaplin playing on the TV. Curtains and velvety fabrics, and no table service. Yup, 70's anyone?

This place is great for dates or small tables--so it wasn't an ideal location for our party of 8, which eventually grew to more than 13. There's no waiter service or anything, and I only saw one barback darting around madly trying to grab glassware and clear tables. We didn't know what was protocol...were we allowed to move tables?

Volume level is pretty ambient, but it eventually got louder to the point where I was comfortable with talking very loudly to be able to hear the people beside me. I had a lemon drop (more tart than sweet--YES!), and I liked their taste of moscow mules, and whiskey sours--although I'm not a whiskey girl myself. There's no menu, so this place is more of an old-fashioned/mature-vibes bar.

There's a restroom in the very back, but it's difficult to make your way through the crowd of low tablecloth bar tables and pool of bodies crowding the bar. I think this place would have been a better experience if our group was smaller and less confused. Still, if you're into that low-key and neon-lights ambiance, Lone Palm is for you!

The service was good and bartender is friendly. The ambiance is chill and laid back with a dive bar feel and prices. Well drinks are only $4.50. I would recommend this place for a date night or out night out with friends.

Never been more offended in my life.  Worst bar ever.  They harassed us to leave their bar so they can get drunk on the job after they rudely kicked everyone out.

Our friends had stopped here earlier, and liked it. so we decided we'd all come back after dinner.

It's a dive...but not exactly...White tablecloths? Not  the norm for a dive bar.
Definitely has the vibe of an old school loungey kind of place.

Seats were easy to find when we got there, and it was pretty chill. By the time we left it was packed, and LOUD.

Bartender was...eh, some drinks were better than others.

It's a pretty unique place, and I definitely return.

We had one of the worst experiences we've had in a long time, last night when we went to the Lone Palm.

Yesterday evening at 7pm (11/6/2014) my fiance and I went to the Lone Palm to grab a cocktail before dinner. We'd been many times and have always been treated nicely. Last night changed our opinion of the place completely.

We walked in; no one was sitting at any of the tables and the actual bar was about 75% full. We sat at the end of the bar and waited patiently for the bartender to come over. After a few minutes, the only bartender ( a blonde girl ) came over and just looked at us. My girlfriend asked her "Do you do Mojitos". Bartender, "No". My GF "oh, what's your favorite cocktail to make?" Bartender, "Budweiser bottle". I then said, "Budweiser bottle is your favorite cocktail to make?", her response, "yep, I can just grab it and be done serving you". She then walked away from us as a rude smart ass would do.

Here's the thing, I get it. I realize a bartender doesn't always have time to make a suggestion, but there are no cocktail menus on the counter and we just don't know what they could make. (obviously not mojitos). My GF was trying to be nice by saying she would try any easy cocktail that the bartender would make. Also, the bar was no where near full and she could have made a simple suggestion for a cocktail that is similar to a mojito.

Now what she didn't know. We were out having a drink because we had just gotten some terrible news. We wanted to go out and just have a nice night out. This "little girl" with her bad attitude made an already sad day, that much worse. There is no room in the service industry (or in life, really) for people that spread their misery to others like that. We'll never be back and will be sharing this story with our other friends in the neighborhood that frequent the place.

Owners need to fire this girl before she drives all of your patrons away.

I expected the bar to be a bit more lively.  My drink -- I ordered a  greyhound -- was alright. The bartender was really awesome and extremely friendly. The place was just a tad bit more lowkey than I had expected.

Wow, this place is great! Can't believe I've never been in before. I was meeting with a friend. She doesn't even drink but she suggested this place just because she just likes the atmosphere.

Stepping into Lone Palm is like stepping back into SF 1945.  White table cloths, tables nussled close together and black and a black and white movie playing next to soft neon lights.  I approve.  Cocktails are cheap around the $8 mark. defs worth the trip if your looking for a place in the Mission that isn't overwhelming.

Love this place.  Super cool miami vice vibe.  Only thing is there is usually only 1 bartender so you have to wait.  Oh well!
