Question:
Do they card at the door? Don't wanna leave our 20yr old friend behind!
Answer:
I think they do but later in the night. If you get there early, 9ish, and start out with some food I think you'll be fine.

Answer:
I'll be surprised if they even take reservations. But if they do, then definitely yes.

2/16/20201 check-inWent here with my coworkers on a recent business trip. We found a good gathering space for all of us near the front of the bar. The server was super nice and put up with our large group, which was probably distracted after a long day of work and jet lag for some of us. It was a fun and unique vibe. Definitely pop in if you are looking for something different and a tasty cocktail.

2/8/2020Quirky cool bar. They have indoor and outdoor seating in a low lit environment. There is an array of odd furniture that makes the place quite unique.
Upsides: cool environment, good food, and good beverages
Downsides: the bathrooms needed servicing (out of soap and paper towel), and the service was pretty slow - Michaela P.Speer, Denver, United States
12/6/20191 check-inI went here for a drink before an event with 6 of my friends. I typically have a great experience but this time was majorly lacking.
Service- there was zero. Even though a service was coming around to different tables, he didn't come up to us once in an hour! We had to order our food and drinks at the bar every time.
Drinks: my beer was extremely flat and tasteless.
I love the atmosphere and fun rooms so I'll go back, but something was off this night! - Sarah K.Denver, United States
10/14/20192 check-insI really love the decor and atmosphere of Forest Room 5. It's so fun, odd, and interesting all at once. From the teddy bear closet, to the fairy-like patio, and the eccentric items all around the bar - it's awesome. It's so nice to sit outside in the summer and to cozy up over a cocktail inside when it's cold. All around cool space.
The happy hour at Forest Room 5 is pretty great. There are a handful of cocktails that are $5-$6, draft beer specials, and a couple of snacks that are fairly cheap as well. The cocktails are pretty unique, and even though there are only a few beers on tap, they are all very delicious. I haven't had anything on the main menu, but the happy hour hummus was delicious.
The only issue I have with Forest Room 5 is the service. Their staff are friendly, but it always seems like they don't have enough servers. Every time I've gone, I've been greeted quickly, but it's really hard to get a second drink or to put food in. I actually feel kind of bad because the servers always seem to be in the weeds. I really enjoy hanging out here, but just wish things were a little faster.
All in all, a great bar to check out. If you're looking for a funky spot to hang out, it's a really fun spot. - Maria E.Panorama City, Los Angeles, United States
8/10/2019This place is pretty awesome. It's an outdoors-themed bar which sounds tacky but I thought they pulled it off quite well. The inside is decorated like a cabin (with all sorts of quirky decor and creepy objects like taxidermy, dolls, and toys). The patio is arranged to look like the outside of a cabin (with vegetation, tree stumps, a stream, fire pits).
Their cocktail menu was pretty impressive. Saw not one, but two cocktails made with Fernet. While I'm not a fan of the stuff personally, it's still pretty rare to find it on a cocktail menu. The rest of the menu sounded really interesting and inventive. I had the Huckleberry Lynx and it was delicious.
It was pretty crowded on a Friday night which isn't surprising.
If you're in the area (eating at Linger perhaps), check it out. I came with a friend but I think it'd make a great date spot. - Emily K.Indianapolis, United States
1/10/20201 check-inForest Room 5. 5 stars. This outdoorsy themed bar was just the spot to top off our wilderness adventure.
It was a nice night, so we enjoyed our bevvys in their outdoor seating. I'm talking tree stumps for seats, TPs to hide out in, fire pits, and trees and other brush that truly make you feel like you're in the forest. My PICs and I claimed the TP and camped out all evening.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a close look at the cocktail menu, but I enjoyed a couple of old fashions. They were made to perfection.
Fun spot and hope to visit again soon! - Anna F.Denver, United States
12/9/20191 check-inAh, Forest Room 5, what a funky and unique spot, if only your staff were the tiniest bit nicer. The bar has taxidermized animals, mini dioramas, hidden rooms, a tepee, a library, and many more things I have yet to discover. I love to take people from out of town here for a unique experience. The rotating draft list is decent as are their drinks and I was pleasantly surprised by the food I've gotten.
However, do not expect to get the warm fuzzies from the staff. They seem to take pleasure in being nasty and curt- we even had our happy hour menu snatched from our hands at 6:01 the other night. I think it's meant to be part of the whole vibe, but I'd love to feel a bit more welcome there. - Cindy C.Littleton, United States
8/9/2019If you're in the Highlands, this place is a must stop! An inside bar that feels like you're outside. Bonus...they also have a sweet outside with fire pits. Make sure to try one of their unique signature cocktails. I recommend the Huckleberry Lynx and the Bear Heaven!

7/23/20192 check-insIf you like nature and camping then you will like this bar and restaurant.
Every table and seat is made from a piece of wood / log. The patio area has a TP, tree house that I can't figure out how to get to the top of, and other cool log, bench, and table seating. It's typically crowded during nice weather but people are friendly and there's a seating area you can wait patiently & happily for when a proper table becomes available. Seat yourself wherever and expect a long time to be served because this place is usually crowded and the servers have a hard time catching whose new and who has moved. They're super friendly and chill about it, so you should be, too. You can also order from the bar for speed.
There's also indoor seating and a downstairs area. The inside looks like a hoarder's attic, with random old toys all over the walls and cleverly built wood pieces like a private creative writing nook and fake fireplace downstairs. You can stare for hours at all the odd ends. Come early when meeting up with friends so you can take time to take in all the weirdness.
Can't go wrong with food and drink here but my favorites are the pancake maple syrup beer (surprisingly not sweet), the bourbon caramel fondue with pretzels (I started using vegetables and basically anything else I could get my hands on from other dishes to dip into this unreal good caramel fondue), and their chai seed pudding. - Jeremy S.Lafayette, United States
9/17/2019Tried to take a girlfriend for a birthday in early-mid Sept. and ... closed for liquor license violation. Wah wuh wah. Since they don't seem to have a website or other authoritative communications platforms (their Facebook is inaccurate and not maintained), I'm not sure how one would know before showing up. Maybe the owners have already moved on to another project...

3/24/2019You know that Cards Against Humanity Card that reads: "What would grandma find disturbing, yet oddly charming?" Yeah. That pretty much sums ups this bar.
As I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a wall of horrifying antiques, including: old dolls, bad taxidermy, vintage books / toys, old teddy bears and more!
The drinks were pretty good and the outdoor patio was great. However, I just couldn't get past the feeling that I had just walked into some serial killer's hiding spot from the 1970's. There's also a strangely terrifying teddy bear room. - Sophie L.West Hartford, United States12 friends13 reviews8 photos
12/2/2019Went for happy hour with a friend last week and our verdict on the spot remains mixed.
We each ordered the same drink, the Huckleberry Lynx, however our drinks tasted VASTLY different. Mine was extremely strong and tasted like cough syrup while hers was a much more balanced drink. We didn't feel comfortable bringing this up to the server as he seemed to have been preoccupied by other things.
The hummus plate was BOMB. 10/10. It was filling, had a variety of food to dip, and tasty; defintively worth the $6!
We would like to give this place another shot, but maybe when the weather is warmer so we can sit outside. - Rhanie H.Glendora, United States126 friends16 reviews
9/24/2019Truly one of my favourite bar in Denver. Great bartenders, service, and atmosphere. Campfire X is the drink that introduced me to the world of Mezcal.
The first night I visited, there was a belligerent young man / customer shouting racist slurs ( didn't realized this, but my acquaintance did), being super rowdy, and literally is looking for trouble. The bartender handled it professionally and everyone clapped. I was oblivious to the entire thing.. because.. you know.. Campfire X is doing it's job. But it's great to know that this place actually welcomes EVERYONE. - Jessie W.Denver, United States
2/17/20191 check-inWe came here to grab a drink while awaiting our spot at the Truffle Table down the block and were pleasantly surprised to find such a cute bar with an impressive cocktail menu! It was too cold to sit outside, but they had fun lit-up tables on the patio that we will be back for in summer. Inside was just as fun and eclectic with random items stacked to the high ceiling behind the bar and one long table down the middle, again with muted neon lighting underneath.
I had a hard time deciding which of their unique crafted cocktails to choose, but given the weather I went with the "It's ok, we saw it on TV" which is essentially a spiced cider hot toddy and it was incredibly rich and delicious! The perfect winter warmer! Our waitress was super sweet as well. We'll be back to try more and perhaps some food next time! - Chrissy H.Centennial, United States
2/8/2019Super cool spot, right off the highway. I could smell a wood fire burning as I walked up the street. It was too cold to hang outdoors, so I went in and sat at the bar. At first blush, I noticed a diversity in appearance of patrons: folks in yoga pants and hoodies; business casual; jeans, jackets, and beanies; and even a few suits.
I'd describe the ambience as lumberjack chic. I really enjoyed the tree trunk bar stools. There are tons of wood features throughout the space - including the wooden menus. There's a huge screen over the bar, which provided some entertainment. Lots of books, and random stuff hanging around the bar.
Menu included a mix of cocktails, beers, and a couple of ciders. They were out of the cider on tap, so I ordered the pear cider in a can. Noticed apps and plates on the flip side of the menu - something to explore on the next visit.
I was told there was another seating area past the restrooms, but didn't explore. Neatest thing I saw while there? A paperback book vending machine. Totally my kind of place. - Lori B.Milwaukee, United States52 friends7 reviews5 photos
1/29/2020Complete jerk! Believe all the reviews about terrible service, they are true. We called ahead to be sure the patio was open and that they allowed dogs on the patio and were told yes to both. Upon arriving, a guy gave me a menu and said "sit anywhere". I told him we had a dog and would be out on the patio. He saId, "Yeah, I'm not serving on the patio, it's too cold". He proceeded to tell me we could order drinks and take them out there. I asked about food and he again said "yeah, I'm not serving food out there". The tone and rudeness actually caught me off guard. Ok, a. maybe learn how to communicate like an adult and not a toddler, b. move out of Colorado if you are afraid of 40 degree weather and c. ensure the people answering the phone and wait staff are on the same page. I would give negative 10 stars if I could.

4/18/20191 check-inThis place is weird and the service is spotty but I love it. Dark at night and kinda spooky with sexy drinks and snacks. What's not to love?
The Bear up front has been my date many nights and I have photos with him, I've cheers'd him, and he's a real good listener.
The patio out back is fun for groups or an intimate date night--if you're into that. I haven't been back in awhile but you best bet you'll see me this spring getting my drink on. Or maybe you won't. Like I said, it's kinda dark. - Simone R.Denver, United States
7/12/20191 check-inThis place is a neat concept but STRANGEEEEEE. I was genuinely worried about the bartender the way he was acting behind the bar- maybe too much 'medicine' that night? Also, prepare to wait... A LONG WHILE for drinks, which is a huge downfall of this establishment. The outside area is beautiful and they are many nooks and crannies that are a part of their decor that you would not expect- like the bears under the stairs! Cute idea! Overall, I am not sure I will personally be back, but it is a fun, unique place to maybe share with others if they don't mind the strangeness and waiting on drinks.

2/11/2020Definitely feels like you're in a forest. Really cool treehouse vibes. A place like this is perfect in denver. It seems to be open late too because we went here after hours for drinks. It's definitely a fun, cozy vibe.

6/24/2019I wanted to like this place so much more than I did but our experience was just...eh. Very unique decor and honestly, the reviewer who stated that it was like a serial killer's lair is totally right, haha. We stayed for one drink, and were one of only two other parties. One of the bartenders not so slyly poured himself a shot then took it as soon as he cleared the doorway to the kitchen, that's cool and all if that's how things are done here but I felt like you should probably do it more discreetly. We were there at the tail end of happy hour, and I felt like my drink was more than fairly priced. I'm glad we stopped in at the very least to say we hit this spot, but probably would not return.
