CASH ONLY!
(Or at least, that's what I thought until I saw someone pay with a card.)
But that's a discussion for later.
Pops didn't really want to make the choice, so he asked me to find a good one for Father's Day brunch. Since no one in the household has been, we decided to come through here.
With pup in tow, we arrived approximately 1015am-ish and already the place was PACKED. But seeing they had plenty of tables situated outside, I didn't expect the wait to be long.
I was told by one of their staff that the sign-in sheet was placed on the wall (by the alley.) There were 5 parties (of 3 or less) ahead of us. No biggie. Took the pup for a bit of a walk not too far.
It didn't feel like we waited too long - 10 or maybe no more than 15 minutes. Our server (I didn't catch her name) came through with menus, greeted us and even gave away hugs (she really was very sweet.)
I've taken some time to go through their menu before and there were three things that caught my attention: my usual country friend steak and eggs, country breakfast or corned beef hash. I took a look at pictures, but those didn't help. I really couldn't make up my mind.
But what I was really curious about was the country breakfast. So that's what I went for. Pops went for the meatloaf with 2 eggs and Mom gunned for the country fried steak with 2 eggs.
VERDICT: he food may not be visually appealing, but all the different flavors were on point. Beneath all that country gravy was a slice of sausage and a biscuit. Each bite of the trio was savory - the sausage with all that flavor and the biscuit so flaky and buttery then the added creaminess of the gravy. And although I'm not really a fan of home fries, they prepped it good enough for me to at least eat a third of it. There was a lot of love in that dish. These are one of those times I'm glad my curiosity got the best of me.
Mom and Pops liked their food as well. I got to try a bite of the meatloaf as well as a small slice of country fried steak. They, too, were very impressive.
FOOD: 5. Quality and quantity. And looks aren't everything, so don't be dismayed by appearances: the food is a lot more delicious than it looks.
SERVICE: 5. They are incredibly efficient. We were seated quickly and served our food quickly. Server was engaging and incredibly nice.
VALUE: 5. You get a lot for the money!
PARKING: Mostly street parking (2 hour limit.)
OVERALL: 5.
So, yeah, I'm not really sure about the CASH ONLY situation, but I'm sure it won't hurt to ask if they take cards. But let's not complicate things - just bring  cash.
Looking forward to coming back and checkin' out that corned beef hash! - 2284407597/5/2021
Solid breakfast spot! The place itself is very small, in fact 90% of the seating is outside on the sidewalk. We came on a Sunday around 11:30am and had to wait maybe 15min. They keep the list of parties on a piece of paper around the corner from the front door near the atm.
I had French toast with eggs and sausage patties. It was all good. I had 2 piece of French toast and 1 sausage patty left over. The service was excellent, our waitress seemed to know everyone and was so sweet. - Barbara T.Carson, United States17111/25/2022
My family and I woke up late the day after thanksgiving and the last thing anyone wanted to do was cook. We ended up getting to Eat at Rudy's about 20 mins before closing but hadn't realized until they turned their "open" sign to "closed". We felt terrible for getting there so late but the staff did not make us feel rushed at all. The food was delicious and came out quick. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. Very happy we found this place, we will definitely be back. Thanks for a wonderful breakfast!

It gets pretty busy here. I was looking for cafe's near my house and this was one of the ones that popped up. I got the breakfast chicken fried steak. It receiving the plate it looks a lot bigger in person. But because of everything was made so fresh and the ingredients, i was able to take it down. I wasn't even really hungry but it was just enough. You seat yourself wherever you like. Â I think the biscuit was the most suprising there that I liked that came with it. I replaced the toast with that. Â Add that jam to help cut through the savory food.
Parking: only street parking.

Rudy's is a local favorite but the food is sub par. Food tastes the same or worst than any local dinner. Everything tastes like it's straight out of a can. The sidewalk tables are nice.

We stopped in at Rudy's for breakfast. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Even the other patrons were helpful with menu suggestions. Seemed like the kind of place that is popular with the locals. Inside the restaurant is cozy but with the friendly atmosphere that shouldn't be an issue. I had the French toast and my friend had the Rambo. We both greatly enjoyed our meals. The portion sizes were reasonable without being excessive. The price was good. We would recommend this restaurant to others.

Service was good but the food is not. We ordered chorizo and it didn't taste like chorizo at all. We are not visiting this place again.

Came here during the week with a group and It was SLAMMIN, no wait and outdoor seating. Our waitress was super nice, and the area was real nice... parking easy.

Had to get an OJ to start wish it was fresh but it was still ALRGE enough to share with someone, the home made biscuits with HONEY WOWZERS, made my own omelette, BLT, some big MONSTEROUS burrito, and the OG eggs and corn beef hash! When im back in that area im going back for sure! - J R.CA, United States11655/21/2022
You have to have the Marinated Steak and eggs for breakfast! Nothing more can be said! Always great service from Jean. She is knowledgeable about the menu and always keeps your small coffee cup full! You can sit inside or outside if you like. There are a lot of items on  the menu but this one is worth the drive and the price. Trust me.
