Dos Caminos Dental

Great dentist.  Very professional with good sense of humor.  I was one of his first patients to get implants.  They are still working well years later, and they look great.  Very happy with his work.  I highly recommend him

Reading other people's experiences with businesses is helpful but keeping in mind that we all may have different ones based on our own.  
After my insurance gave me a list of in-network dentists, I read reviews since ALL were either a 4/5 or 5/5 accompanied with testimonials, it was hard to pick one.  After narrowing down the list, I called Dr. Randel Hermans.  Both Elizabeth and Colleen were courteous and patient with asking the necessary questions to verify coverage for my daughter.  When arrived to the appointment, nice to put a face to the wonderfully pleasant ladies that courteously assisted me with some paperwork that was missed since they had forwarded the forms in advance and I completed them on-line but missed a page.  Then, Denise (Dental Hygienist) came out to the lobby and introduced herself and informed me that my daughter was already in a room and gave me the option of joining her but I decided not to and Denise was incredibly pleasant and reassuring.  Dr Herman's wife, Trudy, also came out and introduce herself and she emphasized the importance of the practice' focus (to paraphrase) to be one that is family and patient oriented.  Later, I was called back to join my daughter and Dr. Hermans.  He explained his findings, gave us recommendations and in no way pressured us to accept the quite conservative treatments.  He's extremely sensitive to patient's needs and not focused on financial gains and/or pushing treatments.

My 34-year-old son came to see Dr. HERMANS over the weekend in an emergency pain situation with his tooth. Dr. HERMANS and his wife go above and beyond the call of duty with compassion and kindness. I have been in dentistry and now I am a registered RN and know what it takes to handle urgent situations. I am very impressed with their Practice. Thank you to Dos Caminos Dental!

Disappointed to say the least. After being recommended here not only by a family member but after reading the feedback on Yelp, I made an appointment with Dos Caminos Dental. Let me clarify, this review is not to speak on Dr. Hermans as a dentist, but to speak on my experience with the staff. I called in April and scheduled a new patient appointment for Friday, May 21st at 8am, I was told that this visit would take two hours. Fast forward to Wednesday, May 5th and I found out that I may have a possible conflict with my work schedule and my already scheduled dental appointment for May 21st. I wanted to call the office and simply inquire if they perhaps had an opening on May 14th, when I have the day off, if not I would be left to keep the original appointment. So, I called during my lunch at 12:50pm, and left a voicemail stating my name, date and time of appointment and asked for a return call because I might have a work schedule issue. I received two return calls at 1:39pm, but could not answer because I had returned to work. I called again at 3:08pm and Priscilla answered, again I let her know I had an scheduled appointment for May 21st at 8am, but wanted to see if perhaps they had an opening for May 14th. Priscilla said they would not be open that date, I said okay then I'll just leave my current appointment as is. Priscilla then placed me on hold, a woman picked up and said her name was Colleen and that she had "bad news" for me, that my appointment scheduled for May 21st had already been given away to another patient because it was assumed I couldn't make it. I was both frustrated and confused as to how my appointment made weeks in advance could have already been given away in less than 2 hours based on a simple inquiry and I hadn't spoken to anyone yet, I'd neither asked to cancel nor reschedule. Colleen said that these new patient 2 hour slots were difficult to come by and offered me June 17th. Being in need because I am about to age out of my father's PPO dental insurance, I agreed to take the June 17th appointment. Colleen said that she would continue to look for another appointment and offered to text me with other availabilities so that I wouldn't remain on hold. After all of this, I received a text from Colleen a half hour later stating that the appointment for June 17th that I had just scheduled wasn't available either, instead offering further out appointments. At this point I didn't want even want to try with this office anymore. Why wasn't it attempted to give me back my original appointment that was  "assumed" I wouldn't attend and thus "given away"? Why wouldn't they wait until I could speak with someone from the staff? And, if these 2 hour new patient slots are so hard to come by, why would a staff member take liberty to cancel it on behalf of someone?. In the end, despite an apology I'm still left in need of a dentist within my network who can see me as a new patient before I age out of my dental insurance in 2 months.

My family has been with Dr. Herman's for years.  They are caring, friendly, and provide excellent service.  You won't find a better dentist in Camarillo.

Dr. Hermans has been my dentist since I moved to Camarillo in 2002.  He is a highly qualified dentist that has the patients needs as a top priority.  Mary is my dental technician who has been cleaning my teeth since the beginning.  A wonderful technician. The staff is always cheerful and genuinely happy to see you.  I would highly recommend this practice.

I had a bad experience with a dentist in Camarillo so I started to look for a new one. I saw some good reviews on Yelp so I decided to give Dos Caminos Dental a try. I am so glad I did!! Dr. HERMANS is a real funny guy with a great attitude! He is also very informative during the visit. The staff there is the best I've experienced yet in dentist office. You can tell they really take pride in their work. I will continue to use Dos Caminos and recommend them to all my friends and relatives. The staff is right on top of everything and makes a visit to the dentist actually pleasurable. Thanks Dr. HERMANS for a great experience!!! Check them out!!

Dr. Hermans and his awesome staff at Dos Cominos Dental are hands down, hell hands up the very very best in the business. I've been going to Dr. Hermans now for over 30 years and let me tell you there isn't a more professional, knowledgeable individual is his field of expertise anywhere else on the planet, Dr. Hermans and his elite staff are not only top notch they are the nicest sweetest most down to earth people you will ever meet. In fact I consider all them family.
I used to hate going to the dentist when I was a kid but now I actually love going. I just want to say thank you to Dr. Randy Hermans and everyone at Dos Cominos Dental for always making me feel like part of the family and for always putting a big smile on my face.

I have spent a lot of time in a lot of dentist's chairs over many years. I was facing some very unpleasant options and then I rememered a co-worker had said positive things about her dentist, Dr. Hermans. I went for a consult and have become a patient for life. Dr. Hermans thinks outside the box and really strives to come up with the best treatment options for his patients. He gave me some options that no one else had taken the time to consider and the results have been beyond expectation. Very caring, very thorough, very professional, highly skilled and knowledgable, trustworthy.... highly recommended.

Best dentist I've ever had!!!  

After years of being the owner of problem teeth-- over the past 10 years of seeing Dr. Herman's, I have almost no cavities or dental problems any more.
