This was the best dim sum I've had outside of Asia or the West Coast (granted I haven't had dim sum in NYC itself). Most of the other options in the area seemed like cafes that served dim sum vs a proper dim sum restaurant so we went here.

It was reasonably priced, and something I had been missing from the COVID era and all the usual suspects were tasty, though nothing really stood out.

Come here for dim sum! At first tricky to find its on the second floor of the building. But it has pretty much everything your dim sum dreams can hold. I got all my favorite items: siu mai, rice noodle with shrimp, fried taro, sticky rice and everything was good! The inside is spacious although the decor is old but everything was clean. They have carts and menu order as well.

The place can be a little confusing to find. Its inside a building with asian shops on the first floor, when you go to the second floor is when you start seeing signs for the restaurant. Family friendly atmosphere, great for big groups. The staff is very helpful and gives you guidance and help with ordering since the menu is so elaborate. Definitely ask the wait staff if you feel lost. The food was delicious and came fairly fast. The har gao dimsums were delicious. The soysauce noodles, simple but very yummy, the fried prawns, fried shrimp dumplings, chinese broccoli, shrimp on green pepper were very good too. The chair linens could have been a little more cleaner. But apart from that, great place for authentic chinese dim sum meal.

I always enjoy dim sum and love the ritual of gathering as a large family to select favorites from carts as they are wheeled throughout the restaurant.

Unfortunately, during the pandemic, dining in is not an option for our family so we did take out (pre-ordered). Despite the lack of ceremony, we still enjoyed the small bites of dim sum favorites.

      I enjoyed:
      - Siu mai - the pork mixture, steamed in a won ton wrapper, was well prepared and delicious.
      - Har gow - rough-chopped shrimp steamed in a rice wrapper was good but not as good as the one my dad made for me just a few days earlier.
      - Beef rice rolls are my favorite, no matter where we go. They are served with soy sauce which is a bit sweeter than what is found in grocery stores. I also had the shrimp rice rolls, as well.
      - Steamed meatballs are usually velvety and light. Here there were dried out and unappealing.
      - Shrimp fritter dumplings of chopped shrimp with seasonings and vegetables are fried and served with mayonnaise.
      - Beancurd roll is another favorite, that includes meat in tofu skin that is then fried.
      - Ribs steamed with black beans were meaty and tasty.

I don't care for some of the buns or egg tarts, but my niece and nephew seemed to enjoy them.

This is your standard dim sum place with the servers pushing carts around. The food was solid, not the best dim sum I've ever had, but still pretty good. In particular, I enjoyed the shrimp dumplings and the tripe.

The place was very packed and the tables are a bit close together. I could hear the entire conversation of the table next to us. I am all about unintentionally eavesdropping on gossip, but unfortunately I don't speak French so I'll never know why everyone was so excited.

It can be a little difficult to find the place as it is located inside a small mall and you have to walk a bit.

I am dinging a star for the cleanliness of the bathroom, it was fairly gross. I would recommend using the bathroom somewhere else prior to coming here just in case.

Overall, I recommend this place for some solid dim sum in Montreal.

First time here in Montreal Chinatown and decided to grab dim sum here at Chinatown kim fung. This restaurant was okay, not the best I've had but it was good. Service here was good and servers were helpful and attentive.

Love the carts! You'll find all the classic dim sum items. Pork with ginger dumpling was the stand out for us. While we didn't have to wait to get a table, we were tucked away by the window, so our service experience suffered (-1 star). Decor is dated and cleanliness could be better. First Chinese place which had American table mustard. However, the prices were very reasonable (+1 star).

This is our second visit to this place. The first visit was 16 years ago. Since then, the place looks run down and dated. The food was alright but the restrooms were disgusting. Makes me wonder if the restrooms are gross, how clean is the kitchen?!

There is better dim sum in Toronto and NYC similar to the ones in Asia. I don't get how this place is recommended on the guide books!

Came back here after 6 years, the food is still good, ambiance has declined, and there was a coldness in service that I didn't experience before... i think I'd give it a go one more time before I decide if I pass in the future.

This was inside a plaza on the 2nd floor. I just hope that their dim sum is made differently than what we are used to. We definitely didnt like the general dim sum dishes that we ordered or they were dry to us. Given that there werent many dim sum restaurants around in the middle of chinatown. We expected this to be one of the better dim sum places since they advertised about dim sum, but we were not happy with the food.
