One of my favorite places for a coffee fix and has a Vietnamese ice or hot drink. Their coffee isn't sour or too acidic and has just the right amount of robust flavor. A great place for any activities from people watching, work, meet up or catching up with friends.
I tried their quiche and it was great, soft and fluffy with right amount of crust texture and the balsamic offers a unique taste with a side of veggies. Price is on point and affordable for what you get, and I would go back again. - FoodPolice S.Edmonton, AB0611/11/2023
$3.50 for the smallest coffee in town. No wifi, bad reception for street wifi, no prices for pastries, no credit card. Time for the owners to put on an apron and work the counter if they're that tight for cash. There's a Good Earth just west of there. Go there.

Rather disappointed in this outlet. No wifi and they only take cash and debit. Have had coffee and pastries in the past and they were ok but nothing outstanding. Didn't find the staff that friendly just like they were going through the motions. Won't be going back; too many great choices on 17th Avenue SW and 8 Street SW with a lot more amenities and better service. You can do a lot better.

A-OK for me. It was busy when dropped by. Service was good but not fantastic. Coffee was good but not fabulous. Decor was good but traffic flow at the door is congested.
Would I return? Yes
Would I recommend? If you'rer in the area this is an option. - Jessica P.Calgary, AB17860243/30/2017
Visited this spot to grab coffee with a friend, and to be honest, what has taken me so long to try it out is because it does not have wifi. This is a place where you go to disconnect from social media and visit with a friend or write in a journal. This is not the place to bring your laptop to and work.
I ordered a latte, and it was excellent. I also appreciated the foam art and the fact that it's served in a bowl versus a cup. If you want to catch up with an old friend and have uninterrupted quality time, this is the place to go. - Bruce K.Southwest Calgary, Calgary, AB263208/23/2018
Have had one of their lattes in a bowl several times, and when order it 'rich and creamy,' invariably that is what I get.
Beano's baristas are casual and friendly, and so genuinely appreciative of a compliment after their drinks sooth the palate.
I'd consider 5 stars here but for what I think is the poor selection of cookies, muffins and such. Certainly Analogy only 2 long blocks away easily out-do them, but then their coffee isn't as good nor the vibe as warm.
What is cool about this district are all the stand-alone restaurants and shops on 17th within easy walking distance from 3rd to 14th Streets. Outside of the chain junk food joints and the occasional poor restaurant, some truly eclectic venues help complement Beano's mid-afternoon latte.
Want a really well-done coffee drink?
Start at Beano's...! - Denise F.Calgary, AB01610/11/2019
I seriously burned my mouth on a latte here last week. Needless to say, a latte should never be so hot and the coffee was terrible. You would think a coffee shop would know this ..

They have amazing shakes. The chia is my favourite but it is only available in summer which is quite disappointing. The environment is cozy and they always have nice music playing. The seating area isn't always kept very clean and the tables are wobbly. It's a nice coffee hang out for people who want to meet new friends or read a novel.

I have never experienced the taste of espresso that has a chemical and plastic like taste, but I did today. I got a traditional cappuccino which is my go to for coffee shops and even tried my friend's americano misto which still had that taste. I am a barista through profession but I've had sour espresso, weak espresso but never tasted something quite like this. Do not recommend to anyone, walk further up 17th Ave to Analog for coffee the same price, and people who know what they're doing with coffee.

This place has the best coffee in town.... their vietnamese coffee is an addiction. This place is often packed, and will give you a old neighborhood coffee house feeling (unlike the fancy chains)
