Qoola is amazing. Delicious yogurt, multiple flavours to choose from, awesome toppings - it really can't be beat. Plus, it's Canadian AND DIY - we don't need no namby-pamby counter girls to decorate our yogurt, we do it ourselves and we LIKE IT. I'm a huge fan of Qoola, and hope to see them expand beyond Burnaby and Richmond (but maybe not in a hard-to-reach area of Robson again).

Qoola is likely the only good advice my mother will ever give me, and it's a keeper.

Lunchbox Laboratory

I love this place. I've been a handful of times, and each time it's been a taste explosion in my mouth. The service has always been good, the food AMAZING, and LL is likely the only place I've ever said "wow, there's just too much bacon on my burger". Was brought here by Seattle friends, and have since brought several Vancouverites down with me to experience it.

Plus, after you've eaten yourself into a coma, you can walk across the street to REI and buy gear to work off all the calories you just consumed.

I'm a fan!

I love this taco wagon! They were a staple at the Lonsdale Night Market on Friday nights during the summer, and I was delighted to find them again on Dunsmuir Street at Burrard downtown. The tacos are crazy delicious - try the pineapple pico - and they're so friendly you can't help but smile. Move over, other taco places .. I have a new favourite in Off the Wagon!

PS: Try their habanero sauce, but go easy - the heat sneaks up on you!

This place is fantastic. Ignore the hype surrounding the other place in Horseshoe Bay, and go to O&A instead. Fantastic service, great food, friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere equals a wonderful meal and a lovely afternoon. Highly recommended!

I love this place. Awesome samosas - so cheap! and a whole assortment of delicious Indian sweets. I stop here regularly for a bucketful of samosas to bring to parties, and everyone loves me for it! I've never eaten in, but as a quick stop for deliciousness on the way home, this place can't be beat!

As awesome as the Japadog stands are, they're nothing compared to the Japadog Restaurant. For starters, they have fries. Not just plain fries, but delicious fries with your choice of five flavours. The service is fast and friendly, and the food is SO GOOD. Japadog is a must for locals and visitors alike, and now that I know how great the Robson Street location is I'll be a regular. Loved it!

And for some reason, the prices at the store are way cheaper than those at the stands. You can get a full combo - Japadog, fries and a drink - for the same price as the dog alone on the street. It's a must-do if you're in the mood for something uniquely Vancouver!

In the pub for over an hour without getting served. Tried multiple times to get the attention of the (hungover and loudly whining about it) waitress as she was serving everyone else around me. Actually left to go eat elsewhere because she wouldn't acknowledge me at all. Wanted to like the place, but I'll stick to places that bother to give half a rat's ass about their customers instead.

I've often bemoaned the lack of gourmet burger joints in Vancouver - I've been spoiled by Built Burger and Lunchbox Labs in Seattle - so I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon Stackhouse last night. We actually ended up there because the service at the Morrissey Pub was so incredibly bad that we left to find food, and ended up here. I loved my burger! Very flavourful and juicy, and a decent size. The fries were really good too, and fantastic with the chipotle mayo. Beer was cheap and plentiful, our server was attentive, and I really enjoyed myself. I'll be back for sure!

Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Loved it. Move over, Vera - you've got competition. In fact, I haven't been back to Vera's since I discovered 5 Guys; it's that good. Juicy, delicious, huge selection of FREE toppings, a Coca-Cola joint (believe me, this matters) .. just be careful when ordering. Don't get trapped into thinking you need a large fries; the small fries will feed an army. They're really good, though. You just couldn't possibly eat them all yourself.

Also: the name of the place is hilarious. I'm having 5 Guys for dinner!
