I cannot express how much I love this yoga studio.  I started with a 1 month social shopper deal and this January I took the plunge and bough a 1-year membership! Talk about commitment!

I really like the instructors at Inner space.  Rebecca's classes are fantastic and she really brings the practice back to the roots of Hinduism sometimes, which I appreciate.  Mike is awesome as well! I did a 5-week workshop of his about the 5 principles of anusara yoga and felt so enlightened in my practice. Anusara yoga really focuses on practicing yoga in a safe manner so that you don't hurt yourself. And the instructors really encourage that.

I am glad to have turned yoga into a lifestyle change. I feel happier, calmer, and lighter.  I deal with problems a lot differently now.  Not to mention, I have much greater muscular strength that I never thought would be possible for me in my entire life.

If anyone wants to try out yoga for the first time or just find a new, safe way of practicing, I highly recommend Inner Space. The instructors really work with you and are very supportive.

Also, the infrared sauna they have is fantastic. They also have a massage therapist, naturopath, and an acupuncturist on site.

My only criticism would be is that it would be awesome if they had shower facilities.

This was my first time doing yoga ever and I was really nervous about coming here for my first class. I should have started with a beginner's yoga class but I would have had to wait 3 weeks until one actually fit my schedule.  So I attended an Anusara Inspired class with Rebekka and was fully expecting to walk out half way through because it would be too hard. But to my surprise, I loved it! I made it through the whole class. I couldn't do everything perfectly, of course.  But I didn't feel stupid about it, and I really really loved the challenge.

I've gone to a few more classes since I purchased a 1 month unlimited travel zoo deal and I have concluded that I really love Yoga.  I was so certain I would hate it before... I'm glad I tried it out. It's a good work out. I've never sweated as much doing any other kind of work out as I do in one of the Anusara classes.  I also did some Beginner's and candlelight classes with Chris and he does those classes well--helps new people to yoga understand how to do it, which is what you want out of a Beginner's class anyway.

Part of the travelzoo deal included a 40 minute Infrared Sauna session and it was great! I can see this  being addictive.

I really love that you can book your spot online because that makes me feel accountable to going to class. And also, it's nice to know I have a spot because I don't want to commute all the way from Burnaby to find out that they don't have space for me.

And most of all, doing yoga has brought me a sense of inner peace and calmness. I really look forward to going to class.

What a lovely little vintage store! It's not obvious that it's there since the area is quite sketch and I imagine that most people passing by it want to keep on walking until they get out of the "danger zone" but it's really not that bad.  I managed to find to lovely tops that I would never find anywhere else! And I got a great deal on them too. THey have amazing vintage shoes too but none of them fit my feet. :(

Beware, it's cash only.

I cannot rave enough about how amazing Sasha is.  I couldn't believe it when she took my seemingly vague words, description of the type of tattoo I wanted, and turned it into a beautiful picture! It was better than I could have even imagined it! And it represented everything I had wanted and thought of for a tattoo for the last 7 years, when I first though about getting a tattoo.

I left a $40 deposit for Sasha to draw up the design and when I was there, I was really impressed with the artwork. We tweaked a few minor things on the design, and then we were good to go. She made sure I was absolutely happy with everything in the design before we even started to ink because it was going to be a permanent fixture and she wanted me to be sure. She never once gave me the impression she was annoyed with me changing things around or having my BFF take pictures of me getting my first tattoo (I asked first of course).  The tattoo itself didn't hurt a whole lot, but I imagine that has to do with the location on your body that it's on. Afterwards, she went over the care instruction and sent me on my way.

Yes it's cash only. The design took 1.75 hours and cost $140 including the deposit.

Thank you Yelpers for not leading me astray in this super important matter!

Excellent high tea! Very filling! The staff was pleasant. It was nice to sit with a good friend and chat about life over tea in a posh setting.  They were accommodating towards my fish allergies and subbed out the salmon sandwich for something else.  I really liked the Ice Wine tea, and the Maple Maple was nice too. If you want to splurge on a super filling meal and tea, then I would suggest the Fairmont.

I really liked this hotel, but as the other reviews say, it's a no-frills hotel.  Don't expect any of the fancy, new-hotel type amenities.  The building is old and rickety. They have real keys, not card locks, and you have to ask the desk for  a hair dryer if you need on.

However, the staff is AMAZINGLY nice! And there is a kitchenette and free coffee in the lobby. And is close to the Space Needle and the exhibition center. It's a great location and for $80 a night, in Seattle, it's pretty decent!

I love Happy Valley!  But it didn't start out that way. For a long time I've been loyal to Sun Sui Wah for my dim sum choices. However, I've been coming here with my co-workers quite a bit and have found the dim sum dishes that make them so awesome!

1) Honey Garlic pork chop! omg! So good but soooo bad!!

2) Shrimp puree on egg plant.  Genius! And delicious!

3) Deep fried tofu with peppery garlic -- a staple of many chinese restaurants but this one is pretty good.

4) Egg tarts are in a yummy flaky pastry

These are my faves and why I keep convincing my coworkers to come here every week! Alas, it isn't good for my waste line.

They are always busy at dim sum, which is great because you know they have a high turnover then.

Another version of a Denny's, essentially.  They specialize in pies, so our large group got a slice of each and shared. The waiter was great at upselling and convinced us to get an entire dutch apple pie because it was only $2 more than the slice.  But overall the pies were just your run of the mill, generic, overly sweet, factory made filling, pies... It left me wanting an real, home made pie instead.

The food was alright too. We were just glad they were open so late, as we were starving when we got there.

Deeeeeeee-licious!!! The guacamole alone is enough to keep me coming back.  I had the carne asada and it was cooked to perfection. Though, I have to say, I kept trying to sneak my sister's chipotle shrimp when she wasn't looking.

This restaurant is amazing and unlike any other Mexican restaurant I've been to! And definitely doesn't compare to the Mexican restaurants in Vancouver (except La Taqueria, which is kind of in another category since it's just Tacos, but equally good!)

Fantastic Party!! And I didn't even drink (much)! Robin, when are you going to stop outdoing yourself?? (hint: I hope never!)

My faves: the little cocktails with the big balls (of ice)... :-D Macarons from French Made Baking! And my favorite frozen yogurt place was there serving Mochi--Scoop, of course!  La Taqueria tacos were awesome, as were the beer and egg pairings from bitter. Loved Pixelbooth photos!! And the smoothies... I went back so many times for them... or was it the cute guys in the truck? I'll never tell! Not to mention the uber-friendly people at Makers Mark, my fave booze!! Too bad they ran out early. Also too bad that I wasn't drinking... or else i'd have had more.

My only qualm about this event, and I am probably the only one, and it's in no criticism to Robin or Crystal... but I went to see what was going on in the TOMS booth and was totally ignored by the representative there, since she was chatting away with someone, which is fine, but I wasn't even acknowledged..  Which was too bad, since I really wanted a pair. It was really disappointing. The people painting acknowledged me but were busy painting away. I don't know; if they were closing up shop for the night then at the least the woman could have said that to me..

My favorite part of the whole night was reconnecting with old yelpers and meeting new ones!!

Thank you MOV for having us yelpers.  IT was truly an honor to be there and it was a lovely space.  Thank you so much to FrogBox for being efficient with coat check! And Thank you Yelp/Robin/Crystal for organizing such an event! Looking forward to the next one!
