This was my first time doing yoga ever and I was really nervous about coming here for my first class. I should have started with a beginner's yoga class but I would have had to wait 3 weeks until one actually fit my schedule. So I attended an Anusara Inspired class with Rebekka and was fully expecting to walk out half way through because it would be too hard. But to my surprise, I loved it! I made it through the whole class. I couldn't do everything perfectly, of course. But I didn't feel stupid about it, and I really really loved the challenge.
I've gone to a few more classes since I purchased a 1 month unlimited travel zoo deal and I have concluded that I really love Yoga. I was so certain I would hate it before... I'm glad I tried it out. It's a good work out. I've never sweated as much doing any other kind of work out as I do in one of the Anusara classes. I also did some Beginner's and candlelight classes with Chris and he does those classes well--helps new people to yoga understand how to do it, which is what you want out of a Beginner's class anyway.
Part of the travelzoo deal included a 40 minute Infrared Sauna session and it was great! I can see this being addictive.
I really love that you can book your spot online because that makes me feel accountable to going to class. And also, it's nice to know I have a spot because I don't want to commute all the way from Burnaby to find out that they don't have space for me.
And most of all, doing yoga has brought me a sense of inner peace and calmness. I really look forward to going to class.

I really like the instructors at Inner space. Rebecca's classes are fantastic and she really brings the practice back to the roots of Hinduism sometimes, which I appreciate. Mike is awesome as well! I did a 5-week workshop of his about the 5 principles of anusara yoga and felt so enlightened in my practice. Anusara yoga really focuses on practicing yoga in a safe manner so that you don't hurt yourself. And the instructors really encourage that.
I am glad to have turned yoga into a lifestyle change. I feel happier, calmer, and lighter. I deal with problems a lot differently now. Not to mention, I have much greater muscular strength that I never thought would be possible for me in my entire life.
If anyone wants to try out yoga for the first time or just find a new, safe way of practicing, I highly recommend Inner Space. The instructors really work with you and are very supportive.
Also, the infrared sauna they have is fantastic. They also have a massage therapist, naturopath, and an acupuncturist on site.
My only criticism would be is that it would be awesome if they had shower facilities.
