Great addition to the Ossington strip. I have tried many of the beers (which will always be changing), IPA, porter, Weisse, Belgian style, and all of them are great examples of their style.
The menu seems very homey and simple, but it doesn't taste simple. It's really well prepared and delicious.
The room is open and airy, the patio is going to be great. Expect a wait, but it's worth it.

Good food, good wine, good people.
For both food and drink, the menu is listed on chalkboards. I appreciate this because the menu changes regularly and you know what you are getting is fresh.
The charcuterie and cheese are delicious and very generously portioned.
I recommend trying the featured wines, as have had good luck with those.
The owners are really nice and friendly and make you feel comfortable. Recommend.

I don't want to live at the nail salon, and the people at A+ understand that. In, out, looks good, thank you very much. Fast, efficient and very nice people.
The place is clean and they offer lots of entertainment - when I was there last weekend, they were playing the Kardashians on the big TVs and any magazine you could want.
A pedicure for $25 is a good deal in this city, and everything looked and felt good. I'll be back

Really good food, nice people.

The decor leaves a bit to be desired. When you walk in it looks quite stark and plain, but it's more cozy than it looks.

The food is delicious, but if you are looking for an authentic experience, you won't get it here, which may be good for the timid. They provide forks here (without being asked), which isn't my normal experience with this cuisine. Regardless, the food is delicious. We tried the beef tartare and the misto misto (mixed veggie and meat) and everything was really well seasoned, and had a little heat. God injera too.

Also of note, they are a testing ground for Amsterdam beer. Tried some really tasty brown ale.

Been here a few times over the years. The wings are good, the salads are good, and the lady bartender is friendly and on her game.

They have a huge variety of wings. Smoky, spicy, saucy, however you like it, they are tasty.

Decent beers on tap, including Guinness.

Pub vibe, comfortable, all ages crowd. TVs at the bar, always showing sports.

One of the best meals ever - and I've eaten here twice!

The best thing about going here with three other people? We ordered everything on the menu! Both the meat and the veg tasting menus, and the snacks! AMAZING!

Service is good, food is even better. Loved it.

This is the kind of place where they elevate the simplest ingredients. Pickled celery can rock your world at Yours Truly.

As my +1 Brian mentioned, it was nice to have so much room at a Yelp event. I got there early enough to meet some new people and try my hand at ping pong. Loved the bucket of balls, although I did step on a few walking around, and had to watch my ankles from turning. Good news, no accidents!

Spin is a great place for a different night out.

Now that I've had time to settle, I am ready to write this review.

Hugh's Room offers an eclectic range of performers, which sometimes includes a well-known act of the old school. I saw that one of those was coming to town and called and arranged for two tickets to the Leon Redbone show 2 months in advance, knowing it would likely sell out. On the phone, they asked if we would be dining before the show, and I said probably not. Hugh's Room took my credit card info and ended the call.

Well, when we arrived for the show, over 60 minutes before show time, we found that ordering tickets two months in advance DID NOT get you a reserved seat. Apparently, that only comes if you are willing to commit to eat their (terrible looking) food. I was so angry they didn't bother to tell me that on the phone. It's not a cheap ticket to this place for the service they gave us.

To add insult to injury, we were given stools, shoved in a corner, and then the waiter didn't even bother to hand us the bill for our beers at the end of the night. He was too important for us lowly non-dinner-eaters, so just left it on a table nearby. Needless to say, no tip for him.

The crowd is quite old, and apparently they don't mind bad service and overpriced meals. I can still stand while I listen to music, so, unless there's a really great performer who I can't see elsewhere, I won't bother with this venue. If there is a really great performer, I'll lie and say I am having dinner and then just order a salad.

I give Hugh's Room the finger.  Damn, this happened almost 2 months ago and clearly that is not enough time for me to settle.

We're paying $13 for a movie, DO NOT make us sit through 25 minutes of ADVERTISING! That is abusive, IMO. We are a captive audience, so don't torture us with the SAME ADS over and over 15 minutes after the supposed start time of the movie.

I know we have a dearth of choices for movie theatres in Toronto, but I still am tempted to cross the Varsity off my list simply because of their customer abuse and MONEY GRUBBING with all the ads.

Otherwise, it's a normal movie theatre, ok seats, decent location. I just can't abide the lack of customer appreciation.

One of the highlights of a stellar visit to Barcelona! Gaudi was incredible and this park, his creation, is just stunning.

I wouldn't call this a relaxing park for a picnic, because it seems like it is always full of tourists, but it is a beautiful, whimsical, cinematic place to visit. Gorgeous views of Barcelona!

Wear your walking shoes.
