A nice, good-sized pool with one lane for lap swimming, and a diving area. There are 4 or 5 big umbrellas around the cement decking, not a lot of shade. No grass, no eating. There are a bunch of lounge chairs available on a first-come basis. Lots of kids & families, a separate kiddie pool, ok locker room. Nice. 5.75$ for non-residents.
A nice, fairly large public pool with good locker rooms. No chairs, most people are on towels on the cement around the pool or at about a dozen picnic tables on an adjacent shady lawn. There are lots of families and kids, teens, and a separate kiddie pool, and a diving area. The water was clean and nicely cold and not so crowded on a beautiful, hot day in mid-July. It doesn't seem to be near anything, except the St Michel flea market. I's free!
In an effort to have "summer", I'm trying out a bunch of pools near foggy & cold SF. This was the first stop, and it was a good one. There are grassy areas to spread out and some lounge chairs. There are a bunch of kids here, but I don't think it's overwhelmingly kid-focussed. The locker rooms are totally utilitarian and not so great, but the pool and pool area are big and nice. The only downside is that they close at 6pm on weekends.
A cute little place that serves delicious, inventive and high quality food. The servers are super friendly and welcoming. It would be a great casual place for a date or to meet a friend. It's on the spendy side, but well worth it. I will be craving that moroccan pickled grapefruit salad. It is truly a MARVEL.
Come out and support these great folks, this place is a gem.
Sparkly, perfect, vintage Mary Quant socks: awesome with my newly refurbished 1930's dance shoes.
