I'm rather picky when it comes to my burgers. Having lived in California for nearly a score makes one spoiled by In-N-Out. It also means that most burger joints in this town do not hold favour with me (let alone impress me).
Romers manages to be good enough for me to be willing to go back when I want a gourmet burger. As other reviews have pointed out, this ain't a cheap place to eat (you don't even get fries with your meal as everything is an extra). But the burger was good.
Service was okay. Overall friendly, but not always on the ball (granted, it was a busy night with all of the tables full but no wait to sit).
In other words I will go back when I get a hunkering for a gourmet burger, but I don't think I will bother taking friends from out of town there.

Service was not rude, but not on top of things either. The food itself was rather bland; the patty looked like they literally took it out of the freezer pre-shaped and then tossed it on to the grill for 5 minutes.
I miss In-N-Out from California.
