Came here on a week night. It was not busy at all. The service was quick and courteous. I think I just got a bit turned off because it seemed a unsanitary to me. But for a cheap eat it's def. not too bad.

We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. It was prob the worst I've ever had. It was way too gingery plus the dish wasn't that big. Also had the Vermicelli (bun?) with shredded pork, spring rolls, sausage. the meat was great except for the shredded pork. There was so little !! It might as well not be in the dish... Plus we had so much Vermicelli & too little of that sauce. It was a little bit dry.

The utensils were all placed in a container The chopsticks ends were facing down... god knows what it has touched or at the bottom? Also there was a small jar of hot sauce at the table. Towards the end of night, the waitress took it  back. I thought they were just going to throw it out... turns out  at the end of the day, they will dump it all back into a larger container in the fridge &  serve it again the next day.

Service was great though. We had ordered and even before I could excuse myself to the ladies room the first dish had arrived!

Made By Hand Craft Show

The Made by Hand craft show is held two times a year at the International Centre in Mississauga. Usually only one day from approx 11am - 5pm. I wish it were a little longer :) Admission was $2 & it went towards Crafting for a cure. Everything was handmade by the vendors.

We arrived sometime after 3pm and it wasn't too busy. Really enjoyed walking around to see each vendor's artistic talents & what their business had to offer. Some business start-ups were so interesting! For example, Marchlight: only used unwanted wood to reproduce their items, Rebabe: everything is remade from unwanted children's clothing. I ended up purchasing a baby's sweatshirt from rebabe for my friend's new baby. $8 :) All the vendors were very nice... i guess they would have to be.

By the end of the day, there were end of day deals, especially from the cupcake, cake pop vendors. 6 cupcakes for $6, $1 each for cake pops. So tempting!!!

Vendors included those in Arts, Photography, Baby clothing, Desserts (cupcakes, cake pops, decorative cookies, chocolate, etc.), Soaps, Wood, Ceramic/Pottery, Knitting, Carvings, and my fav Paper goods. I really admired the work from Taylor Made 4 You (handmade cards) & D's paper creations (also cards & handmade boxes, invites, etc.) I also liked the work from Wooden Treasures by George. Everything was turned by hand. I have a soft spot as it's my dad enjoys this as well & no one realizes how much work is put into it.

For the kiddies... saw a Cinderella walking around :) What a big hit w/ the kids. She sings too! There was also face painting. Can't wait to come back next time!

Most vendors accept Cash only. Lots of free parking

Really enjoyed our dinner here. The service was wonderful & the food was definitely very good. We made reservations for Thurs evening. It was not busy at all.

I think the prix fixe menu is very enticing (price & food). It was a bit difficult to narrow down the choices. In the end, we went w/ the ...

clam chowder - not the usual creamy style we are used to having. but tasty & good,  bit different & lots of clam
Jambalaya (rice) - the sausage was good!
Creme Brulee - they certainly didn't cheap out on the ingredients, the surface was hard & crunchy on a nice sized plate. Could've eaten more :D

Seafood fondue (shrimp, scallops, crab and mushrooms) - so cheesy and yummy!!!! save ur bread for this.... there's too few Ciabatta & Cheddar jalapeño bread for dipping. you could get full just from eating this.
Bourbon Street Crab Cakes (entree) - came w/ 3 crab cakes. they were ok. i've def. had better crab cakes somewhere but it was not bad at all. It was also served w/ creole rice (sausage & chicken) & some veggies

The service was excellent. The food came fast & everyone was polite. Definitely can't wait to be back sometime soon... Would be awesome to come here for dinner then attend a play afterwards on King Street :)

Went here w/ my passport. It was definitely the best passport class so far & one of the better classes I've ever attended. I absolutely enjoyed it & fell in love w/ yoga all over again. 5 star for the class, 4 overall feeling.

Amenities : There are about 3 shower stalls in the ladies change room. All very clean. Lockers are available to store your belongings but remember to bring your lock. For the yoga area, there's also storage right outside the classroom. Please leave your shoes outside. There is a fountain somewhere in the equipment filled area though I did not see it at first & went for the tap instead.

As noted by previous posters, it was originally a fitness club. There are lots of equipment. But I'm probably not going to join the gym as I do not enjoy intense cardio & it is a unisex gym. However, I would def. considering buying yoga card classes if they have it since it is close to where I live. The fees are quite good atm.

Yoga classes unlimited (per month): $ 59.99 (i have a feeling this will go up soon... it can't be this good!)
10 classes: $150
20 classes: $250

I went to the Advanced Power Flow class & learned a lot from the instructor Joshua. Lots of core & strength work required in this class. It would be awesome for anyone interested in Ashtanga. Be ready to work & be surprised to accomplish things u thought u couldn't do.  You will forget about your fear of certain poses. Instructor Joshua was excellent & his concise & detailed instructions really helped. Once in a while u need a @$$ kicking class.

The class had approx 14 ppl (lots of mat space) and the instructor was able to help all of us w/ any adjustments. Lots of modifications, freedom. It's amazing that even a few tweaks u learn a little something. The students were all regulars and familiar w/ each other which was nice to see. It was very laid back and small chit chats here and there. Can't wait to come back again !

It was definitely nice to give back a little and help to raise awareness & funds for arthritis & other autoimmune research. What a wonderful cause!

It was held in the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon room at the Toronto Reference Library this year. Some of the sponsors had booths at the back... including Yelp's table ! :)

We also received goody bags at the end. Nice touch but we would've done it for the cause n e waz right? :) Loved my bag cuz it included complementary classes at some of my favourite yoga studios around the city (Stratusphere Yoga, Yoga Sanctuary, Downward Dog). Also smartwater, tea, etc. Thank you sponsors!

It was a great day to share our energy for an excellent cause. Definitely can't wait for next year. What about you?

Went here a few days after Winterlicious 2012 was over. They still had the menu and we took advantage of it. Absolutely delish!

I had the....

Baked Almonds Crusted Woolwich Goat Cheese
with grilled Portobello mushroom, wilted spinach, Honey raspberry dressing (vegetarian)

Char-Coal Broiled Lamb Shank
Slowly cooked with scallion mashed potato, red wine, garlic, and rosemary

Black And White Cakelet
Devil's food chocolate cake bean mousse, dark chocolate ganache

Absolutely LOVED the salad (must be the goat cheese!) and the lamb was excellent. Slide right off the bone. So tasty and tender. I almost wanted to take the bone home for my dog !!

Service was wonderful. I don't really like splurging out on food..but would not mind coming back for Summerlicious/Winterlicious !

The carrot cake looked very commercial. Makes u wonder if they made it themselves or perhaps from Loblaws (across the street)

Parking might be a problem but u can probably sneak a spot across the street at Loblaws or if you're lucky on Yonge street.

Over priced...wallets hurting a bit. Who knew things could be so pricy? Was here after a raptor game & looking for food. Once u step inside, it's obvious what the atmosphere is like. A hangout for yuppies, chic, loud music, mod, almost like a posh club... my hubby said pretentious :) But we stayed anyway since it was V-day.

Did not know what to order... but didn't want to pay $20 for cheeseburger.

we had...

Crab Cake $ 21
Irish Organic Salmon w/ wild grain & almond salad $31
Slow Roasted Prime Ribs $ 30

They served us a round pan of warm toasty carbs. It tasted so good w/ the butter ^^ The crab cake was delicious but it was only one med size crab cake. The whole time I was only thinking this is great but not for $20. Rest of the dishes was not out of this world spectacular.  Ribs were overcooked. I did enjoy the wild grain & almond salad that came w/ my fresh yet slightly undercooked salmon though :) Still ok.

I thought the drinks menu was such a cool idea. They used an IPad for this :D

Service was good. The waitress was very friendly and asked how things were a few times.

We found out from the waitress that E11even is also 'the restaurant' for the maple leaf & raptors players. But they prob place them in a secret room or everyone will harass them :) We were told 3 raptors were there last night. But did not see any of them in person.

Went here as a group. It was not bad. I have to complain though about their menu. CBCs & the rest of the non Chinese population ... must be so annoyed cuz the entire menu was mostly in Chinese. Not to mention lots of variety but anyhow thank goodness for the photos. I had to read ever so slowly...Fortunately the group was fluent so there were no probs ordering.

Service was very fast. They actually brought a dish that we did not order (1/2 duck). None of us realized it as we ordered from the set menu. How can u get this wrong? The waiter later came by and said it isn't ours and if we want it we could add it to the tab. Sorry we aren't paying extra for your mistake. So he took it back to the kitchen. Makes u wonder if they are just going to recycle that to the next table ? They should've comped it for us since it was half eaten cuz now I just had to yelp about this :)

The food was alright. I'm not a big fan of Chiu Jau style but its fine. I liked the soup best. The shanghai style noodles I thought was a bit undercooked. The fish ...my friends loved it but I beg to differ. It was prob because I am not a fan of Chiu Jau in general lol Price was def good.

Not a big fan of meat but there was a lot of variety for all! We ordered soup, seaweed salad, veggies, ice cream (not much selection mango or green tea)

Meat: We must've ordered everything on the menu... or so it seemed. Pork, chicken, beef, lamb, ox tongue. I highly recommend the ribs :)  Everything was marinated and very tasty.

Seafood: The salmon was also great but I had to keep flipping it or it would get stuck on the grill. I also loved the mussels! yummm :) Plus it was easy to cook.

Sushi: We also ordered some rolls (California & Spicy Salmon). They weren't that great but hey this isn't a Jap AYCE. They also offered other Jap food but we didn't try them.

Grill: Can't help but admit I am petrified of it due to an incident long ago. But no burns thankfully :) Depending on what might have oil in it, the flames will be stronger.

Price: The price was def. not too bad (meal, one beverage, after tax and tip our bill came to approx $28 per person).

Attire: Do not wear your favourite sweater unless you want to smell like a BBQ grill or want to spend some $ at the dry cleaners :)

Decor/Ambiance: Mod & clean. What more can u ask for?

Service: fast & friendly. Someone always took away any used plates, filled our drinks quickly, etc. At times though they might not understand you. My friend asked for Red Bean Pudding and got red peppers for dessert lol Reservations a must unless you don't mind waiting at least 30 mins during peak hours.

We will definitely be back!

Barely a 4 star (close enough) but it's only because I had an encounter with ants.  Otherwise it was quite a pleasant experience. Definitely won't mind coming back again with the passport :)

This studio is wonderful & gave me a nice warm feeling upon entry. Or maybe because I was greeted by the nice receptionist Aura. The practice room was quite big. Plenty of spots... guessing it could max out at 50? Some classes can be quite packed so come early to reserve your spot. My ants problem....Not sure where the heck they came from. I sure hope its a one day problem. There were so many in the front/middle portion of the class. Halfway through the practice I killed around 3 as they wandered on my mat. Sorry I'm not doing yoga w/ ants.

The bathroom was spacious and as Jen K mentioned there were 4 showers (with wooden doors now), 2 sinks. The only annoying thing about the place was there were no lockers. Put all your valuables in your car. I actually changed at work before leaving for yoga. Yes just in case someone wants my used stockings & $10 jacob skirt. :)

The class I took was on Wed 6pm Moksha Flow with Vikram. One of those great instructors who was clear on instruction, patient & came by to adjust anyone who may need a little assistance. I think the pace is a little too slow than what I'm accustomed to. I thought there would be a lot of sun salutes, etc. Not much at all. I'm still a newb at Moksha...but I'm guessing we aren't allowed to go into our own variations? I was politely asked not to do a different camel & stick w/ the basic. Different style I guess. But still a great class.
