The big draw at Bakerbots are the ice cream sandwiches. You choose from a delicious selection of chewy cookies--chocolate, blueberry, ginger, peanut butter and blueberry when I was there--and they load it up with ice cream from one of Toronto's best ice cream shops: Ed's Real Scoop. They even let you choose multiple flavours of ice cream for your sandwich. These things are huge so I recommend getting a half sandwich ($3.50).
While the ice cream sandwiches are phenomenal, the pie was the real gem here. First, let me note that I consider myself a serious pie connoisseur. Some may sing the praises of the likes of The Pie Shack or Wanda's, but these people simple don't know a thing about good pie. Until recently I just accepted the fact that Toronto pie meant mediocre pie. Thankfully this is no longer the case.
The slice of peach pie I had at Bakerbots' blew me away. Both the crust and the filling were absolutely flawless. Easily the best store made pie I've ever had and I've had a hell of a lot!
