Reliably good food delivered by cheerfully helpful staff with incredible consistency - plus they make a good coffee/latte/etc. They (often?) have muffins for take-away that make a great snack for later. It's fun to sit at the bar in the evening for a bit of 'city' feel. The only negative is that the (admittedly fairly diverse) menu doesn't seem to change that often, so I sometimes get a bit bored with it. FYI, the patio is tucked away in the back.

Definitely the best ice cream, ahem ^h^h^h Gelato you'll find anywhere in the Comox Valley.
Not only that but the location is great, inside and outside are airy and nice to relax at, and the employees are uniformly friendly and generous with their scoops (I'm pretty sure that generousity comes from the top).
In fact, when we take our daughter here, we need to specifically ask for the not on the menu 'extra-small' child's size ice cream, which is still huge.
If you like ice cream you'll like benino.

Great location with big windows and comfy chairs - a nice place to hang out and enjoy your coffee.
The gals that work here are friendly and helpful (or surly and amusing if you know what I mean), and seem to take their coffee seriously. I've also been pleased by any other drinks I've tried including bubble tea and smoothies.

I've enjoyed eating at Osaka, though there are other sushi restaurants in the Valley that I consider either more authentic, or slightly higher quality food (two in particular).
They've got some fun western influenced rolls, most of which are huge.
If you're a fan of sushi and you live in the Valley, you'll want to hit Osaka from time to time, though be cautious about ordering the various special rolls until you know just how gigantic they are, or unless you are really really hungry.

Authentic feeling tiny diner style hole in the wall. The food is yummy and reasonably priced, and the portions are decent sizes. The website is a bit hilarious, however the information is sincere. Yes, sincere is definitely the right word. The only thing missing at Carnival Caribbean Cabana is a strong accent from the owner, Wain.
A decent florist, an excellent selection of cheeses, a good quality butcher (and seafood), a good selection of organic produce, and apparently one of the only places in town to design a cake entirely to your specifications. Definitely a good place to do your shopping in the Valley (though the take-out sushi has gone downhill a bit).

An eclectic mix of products, from soda makers to apparel to mattresses, all with a focus on organic/natural sourcing and materials. The owners are friendly, and only slightly as eclectic as their mix of products. And for those with small children, they have some toys for your little ones to play with while you shop.
S'alright, though I like the vibe better at the Comox location. Good coffee, friendly service, and a funny little hole in the wall location.
A nicer airport than you'd expect in a town this size. Weird dead cellular zones though, you might need to exit the building and walk to the end, so get your calling done before you go through security. Paid wireless access available inside the terminal and in the waiting area though.
This is a nice cozy venue to attend events at, located centrally, and with generally plenty of parking.
