It was a special dinner for my husband's birthday and all he asked for was prime rib. We are traveling and I underestimated the need for a reservation. I came across The Butcher & the Boar on Yelp, and it was serendipity!! We got an early reservation and beat the rain storm that started a little after we arrived.

Service was great, with our waiter Nick making excellent recommendations (terrific service, too). You MUST order the chicken wings. I know. Not the fanciest sounding dish on their impressive menu, but the wings are smoked first and tossed in a light sauce, so the smoke flavor shines through. The prime rib was also smoked and probably the best cut of prime rib I have ever seen. I ordered the filet medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. The last item that I would highly recommend is the spicy brussel sprouts. They will have me chasing to replicate that recipe for a long time to come.
