My bf met a client early in the day at this location and decided to have some food...he is allergic to egg and ordered a breakfast sandwich without the egg in it...they ended up putting the egg in it anyway.

- negative 2 stars
He then decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves by ordering me a hot chocolate.  He comes home with his surprise...and I sip it to find it is coffee..most likely a double double...ARGH! =(   boooo......

Nothing too special about this place.
In fact....the service here is so mediocre, there is no reason why I would really care to come back here.

Except for one type of wing...
The Italian roasted red pepper wings.

Seriously, if you are looking for a hum drum joint to just get drunk and loud with some buddies, this could be the spot!
Throw in a hockey game playing loudly in the background and you'll be happy =)

I came as a tag along with a friend.

I can't remember the last time I stepped foot into a Home Depot, but wow--was their customer service excellent!!
Everyone inside will greet you with a smile, everyone.
They all ask if you need help with finding anything and they will also stand by after they find the item you are looking for in case you have questions.  I was blown away with their honesty in their answers and non-pushy salesman like attitude.

We also asked to see if they could offer us free boxes (I'm moving) but they couldn't since they destroy their boxes immediately after opening.  They were apologetic, and quite sincere about it too.

I definitely recommend this place if you are looking to find handy stuff for your home and you lack the knowledge.

This is the munchie lovin's dream hole of food!
They got the craziest selections of donuts, vietnamese subs, burgers, sandwiches, chinese take out, fried chicken, snacks...etc!!!
You got a craving?  I bet this place will have a solution for it.

We detoured this way to grab a box of donuts (a dozen for under $7...pretty awesome!).  They're boston cream is where the money is at!  They always have the best variety...and lots of it!  I also tried their coconut donut for the first time...super yummy.

I've also had their vietnamese subs before which is pretty good too.
To satisfy a fried chicken craving, we tried theirs a while back...to our disappointment, it was rather dry and not very flavorful.  I think it was probably sitting out there for a while....=P

For my 200th review....I want to say: I POPPED MY YyOGA CHERRY!!!!!!

Too much information? ;P

I've done Bikrams...and have done many different yoga styles...here's another to check off my list!

I have heard so much hype about the amazing-ness of Yyoga studios.  I am so happy to finally experience it myself!  This location is very pretty!  It has an almost futuristic zen feel...think Gattica.
A friend brought me as her guest so I got to try my first class for free, which is great!  Mat and towel service are included with each visit, which is great too!!  They have this sweet water fountain of filtered water for everyone too...I quite like the amenities provided here.
The changerooms are kept very clean, I noticed someone coming through to clean up everytime I was in there.
Our instructor was good, the room where we did our hot yoga class was nice, with hard wood floors. (Really helps keep the 'stink' out!)

They lost a star due to a little incident. While waiting for our class to start, a participant cut herself really bad and there was blood everywhere but the employee helping her with first aid didn't even know first aid!!! As a personal trainer, that is unacceptable, especially in a health and fitness establishment!  She openly asked if anyone else knew first aid because she didn't so I stepped in right away.  I was able to help the injured lady, but then the employee told me that once I was done to put away everything and give the first aid kit to an employee standing over there...and then left.  (?!!)  So when I was done, I did that---but then couldn't find the 'employee standing over there'.

I thought that was a weird experience..and a little bit unprofessional.
But overall...great yoga class.

It has been a super loong time since I have visited Havana!

Very spontaneous lunch date with a friend.  This is a great place to go to for first dates because there is just so much to look at and talk about in the place.  There is a little 'art gallery' in the back for you to walk through after your meal..or during your meal if you're feeling adventurous! ;)

We shared a couple tapas: Guacamole with chips and calamari
As well as the shrimp & avocado eggs benny.

The tapas were good, guac was fresh, could use just one or two more shakes of salt and a squirt of lemon juice but I was happy.  The chips that accompanied the dip was amazing! We had to ask for more chips!
The calamari was great, light..just the way I like it.

Unfortunately, the eggs benny was the most disappointing dish we had.  The hollandaise sauce was 'meh'...the shrimp was probably frozen, and it was overall quite bland.  Too bad!!

Atmosphere is always great here...and servers were adequate, nothing stellar to report.

Small, dark, and loud!
Hope you don't mind getting up close and personal with your dining-neighbors!  This restaurant lacks in space but makes up in noise!  Not the go-to place for a intimate dinner for two if you need privacy.
I didn't mind the loud hustle & bustle of the servers and the patrons inside.
We started with some fresh grilled oysters (which weren't on the menu but the chef happily made our request).  For the main, we had the halibut.  The fish was okay, but the star of the evening were definitely the oysters!

Nothing overly too stand-outish here for me...with the immense choice of seafood cuisine we have here in vancouver, this isn't one of the most memorable.

No Frills

Remember when Superstore came around and became the ultimate supermarket for groceries...then clothing..houseware....toys...and whatever else you can think of under the sun??

Well, let me introduce you to No Frills...and like the name, its straight up groceries....and none of the other stuff to entice you to get.

Although, selection for organic fruits and vegetables is saved for a teeny tiny space in the corner, you will be satisfied with what else they have: very basic necessities for food (so don't expect too many cool ethnic stuff).

They have the biggest frozen food section I have ever seen...rack after rack of frozen pizzas, veggies, fruits, chicken wings, burgers, ice cream, popsicles, frozen meals....and the list goes on!

Great prices here...definitely come here to save yourself a few dollars!

My favorite part of this store is the Pharmacy.
I have been using their pharmacy for just over 6 months.  The customer service in this section is amazing.  I've had 3 different pharmacists assist me and they all rock!
They also give you portions of what isn't covered through pharmacare as 'money coupons' towards your next grocery bill!  Thats pretty awesome...save on prescription then save on groceries.  Its a win win situation!

It makes me very sad to give this place ONE yelp star....so why don't I start with the good stuff?

I had come here last year for the first time, for a friends bday dinner and it was GREAT!  Food was delicious, atmosphere nice, good server, I had an awesome time!

Lets fast forward to yesterday, my most recent visit...

My roomie mentioned they have pasta tuesdays, where all pastas on the menu are $10!!!  This in itself gets 5 yelp stars cause that is just unbelievable!

Me, my boyfriend & roomie head out for an early supper....we decided to get seated on the patio.
Now the story starts to get UGLY.

Our server (HIS NAME IS MARC.  WITH A "C".  IF YOU SEE HIM WAIT YOUR TABLE, RUN FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!) ruined what could've been a great experience.

Where do I start?!
He barely looked at us when he came to our table.  He offered alcohol drinks to start (but my bf & I cannot drink--due to health reasons) which my roomie ordered and we did not.  He kept pushing us to order drinks though....so FAIL #1
When we only ordered water instead, he basically rolled his eyes and ignored us for the rest of the meal...FAIL #2
He never bothered to inform us of the pasta tuesday, so we asked and he  kinda grumpily nodded and said we were right. (FAIL #3)  So we all had a pasta dish.
All the dishes were delicious (My bf's had a hair in it!! Which was taken away immediately and fixed) but our server hardly checked on us and never spoke to us or made an effort to do anything extraordinary...FAIL #4

By then, we were sooo unimpressed with the horrific service, we asked for the bill.

THIS IS THE KICKER::

My roomie paid for the bill and tipped a little under 10%.  MARC, our server, saw this and does this:
He ripped the receipt from the moneris machine and THROWS IT (yes, he THREW IT) with his credit card onto the table and stomps away!!!! FAIL #5, 6, 7, 8, 9 AND 10!!!!!
WHO THE HELL DOES THAT?!?!?

I don't even think he deserved the tip that was given, I hope the chefs get it!!!!!

I'd like to come back here again.....but NOT to him.....

We ended here randomly because another restaurant that we had a groupon for had CLOSED down! Booo!!

Anyway, it was definitely a blessing in disguise.
I can`t say enough great things about this place.
Completely authentic feel from the moment you step in.  The entire staff literally stepped out from a Japanese anime movie, they are all so adorable.  Very friendly, soft spoken and helpful.
We ordered so much food.  Can I remember any of the names? lol...nope!  But I can assure you, nothing you order here will leave you disappointed, NOTHING.

And one last thing, make sure you visit the bathroom.  I don't care if you don't have to go, just do it.  Thats all I'm going to say....don't want to give anything else away.  ;)
