It is probably only a matter of time before Yelp allows us to classify neighbourhoods in Victoria (similar to other cities on Yelp) so let's help get the ball rolling by nominating neighbourhoods.
I suggest:
Fernwood Cook St. Village Estevan or Willow's Beach? Oak Bay
Good Idea, though not an easy task (especially if we don't want a thousand different micro-neighbourhoods, one for each street) You've got a good start with nominations though :D.
I'll toss into the pot: UVic - Probably big enough to stand on its own Shelbourne - The northern commercial district of Shelbourne and surrounding area Cadboro Bay Gordon Head Uplands (possibly just used as part of Willow Beach or vice versa) Hillside (in and around the mall, possibly encompassing the landsdowne area) Cedar Hill Quadra Village Royal Oak
I'll also toss in this link to a map of City of Victoria's official neighbourhoods (circa 2001) http://www.victoria.ca.... I don't agree with all of them, but it's something to work with.
Great map! Yeah the Uplands would probably be either Cadboro Bay, Willows Beach/Estevan Village, or just the Uplands, not many businesses in there though.
This is a great thread Brad! Keep it up - and if Yelp is going to do some neighbourhood classification in Victoria, I'll be sure to direct them to your thread :-)
How big would you say west shore is Deenu? When I look it up I get that it includes Colwood, Langford, View Royal, Highlands, and Metchosin, each of which would constitute a neighbourhood in itself I would think .
