Min min "Not Just Anypony" T. says:
@ Robin: Which Pollan are you reading right now? I started reading In Defense of Food but it wasn't selling to me, especially when he said that focusing on nutrition is ruining our relationship with food. He's quite an eloquent speaker though so I might pick it up again. An interesting point he raises in the movie is that poverty is a better indicator of obsesity; they show a family that can afford a round of hamburgers, but the daughter isn't allowed to buy pears that she wants to eat because they're too expensive.
@ Amanda: Apparently the book was written AFTER the movie. There's just so much information that they couldn't squeeze into 1.5 hours. It's makes me pretty glad that I don't eat American-produced meat.
