British Style Curry in T.O.?

After living in London, England for most of the 90s I aquired a love for "British Style" Indian restuarants (which are generally run by people from Bangladesh). For years now I've been trying to find a similar style of restuarant here in Toronto.

Does anybody know of any?

    Well, I have - I lived in London for a year and a half and experienced many a greasy chana masala. I'm guesstimating these places are similar, but not knowing what you're expecting out of them I can't be 100% sure :)

    I lived in London too and I'm not exactly sure what you mean. The curry was delicious there for sure but what main differences to you find in their food vs Toronto Indian food?

    I really miss Brick Lane!! ahhhhh.... I wish the restaurants here had free poppodums with all the free chutneys & pickles etc, I find it annoying that most places here charge for it.

    I also thought the vindaloo was much spicier over there...they don't fuck around with the spice...mmm

    My Parental Unit lived in London when I was in uni and there was a pub that served curry where we would go often.
    Do you mean curry that is not too spicy or hot?

    Why don't you try the curries at pubs in the city?

    Lauren - Little India on Queen West has free poppodums and chutney and I think the food is super tasty there!
