Ideally, I'd like a nice restaurant that serves great food(hopefully, meatless) and a romantic ambiance: candles, classical music in the background, etc. Please share your experience.

Did you have a memorable restaurant visit during your first date?  Why not take her to the same place?  Unless of course it's a sketchy dive now or suffered some other horrible fate.

take her to the spa. You know those whole day tradition, especially if you both relax in a jacuzzi with a glass of wine in your hand. Then when the night comes, take her to the restaurant you both like. Then have a brief dance with her and after that ...:)......after that tuck her to sleep.

Depending on if your wife appreciates being spendy or thrifty can influence your decision where to go or what to do.  If she's the spend-thrift type you could make up a lovely picnic basket and spend the time on Toronto Island.  There are many many places to hide and be alone for a secluded and romantic lunch.

Don't forget It's the effort that counts far more than the actual meal.  Even if your cooking is disastrous and you decide to grab take-away, just make sure you have a variety of HER favourite treats, in addition to the meal.

I vote going to a winery. Though I dunno how you can drink wine and eat just veggies.

The most romantic entirely meatless restaurant is easily Fressen. (but please note there aren't many romantic veggie restaurants).

OK, I forgot to mention she is NOT a vegetarian but I am. That should expand my options.

I liked the wine tasting suggestion and we do like Ontario white wine + cheese, any recommendations? My first thought was Niagara...

Inn on the Twenty has always had a great vegetarian option when I've gone (I've been for brunch twice and dinner) but call to check since I haven't been for a few months.

Thank you all! Inn on the Twenty sounds promising!
@Eliah, I contacted Vineland and unfortunately they only book private wine&cheese tours for groups of 10+ people :(
