does anyone know of any restaurants that have challenges? a bunch of coworkers did one saturday at Quaker Steak and Lube and now want to do more.
We only know of a few others: Burrito Bay, eat 2 gluttons in 30 mins and get a free t-shirt  and Buff. Wild Wings, eat 12 wings and you get to BUY a t-shirt (now that's just lame, not even a discount on it!!)

any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I believe Cheeburger Cheeburger had a challenge with some enormous-sized burger where if you finish it they give you a  free t-shirt and  take your picture and put  it on the wall. But I haven't been there in a while so I don't know if it's still around. It's in the giant strip mall with Target, Barnes and  Noble, Lowes, etc on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst. It's right behind Panera bread. I've only had the normal-sized cheeseburgers there but they were pretty tasty. Good fries/shakes too.

If Duff's doesn't, then it should.  A friend in high school (who went on to join a rugby team in college) was challenged to drink their hot hot sauce through a straw then not drink any water for 5 minutes.  He did it.  The aftermath was not pretty.  Still, they really should have some sort of challenge there.

Excellent question!!  Admit it - even pretentious 5-star restaurant-frequenting Yelpers enjoy the occasional Man v Food episode.  Don't we all have a little Adam Whateverhisnameis inside of us?  Sadly, I can't think of any place in the Buffalo area that does this other than the previously mentioned Buffalo Wild Wings.  How weak is that?  Maybe some local eatery/institution will step up and make this happen.  After all, Buffalo is the epitome of copycat - i.e. Chicago does Taste of Chicago, then you get Taste of Buffalo a couple years later; Boston does First Night, Buffalo follows suit.  The Lincoln Center does weekend jazz (yuck, by the way) during the summer, we get Jazz at the Albright not long after.  Great Lakes cities like Detroit and Toledo get Bass Pros, Buffalo....oops, sorry!

Thank you all for the replies. Keep 'em coming!!!
Rich U- you have a point. i tried a google search on this- there are so many local restaurants outside of buffalo that do this! My coworkers are dying to do more of these challenges. too bad there is not a nathan's around here for a hot dog competion. if i'm lucky, maybe a restaurant owner will see this and step up to the plate.
