Which bars, restaurants, boutiques, parks won't ever make it to the Best list, but are worth a detour?

I've been to Montreal many times but I've never had a "hot dog on The Main, 'fully dressed'"...  is this really a Montreal thing to do, or am I just full of it?  I've heard of "fully dressed" flavoured Canadian potato chips...

and yes Gator, its a very Montreal thing to get an "All Dressed" dog on the main. I would suggest the Montreal Pool Room.

One thing I dig about Montreal is all the cool stuff to do which is not obviously touristy.  First time I came ('90) I was along with this girl from Winooski, VT, who only wanted to go to the IMAX (?)....also fun when I run into fellow Americans who are looking to buy a bottle of vodka, I tell em they gotta go to Bureau des Alcools, they have no idea what ahm sayin'
