My husband and I are visiting Montreal for the first time and hear that's it's wonderful but need to figure out what we'll be doing for our weekend trip. We're staying in Mont Royal area.

We're love to get ideas on things to do, places to eat, etc. I wanna know what locals do!

Is it likely that it'll be snowing by this date?

Thanks in advance to yelpers in Montreal!

Oh my, I really want to help but I haven't been going out much. I'd say definitely walk along St. Laurent to mile end. It is truly lovely. I'd think it will be snowing by then. We had our first now a couple weeks back

Go to Cafe L'Express for dinner one evening... hopefully it will be snowing.

If you like Jazz, try Upstairs.

Both these outings will get you into very different areas of the city and provide ample opportunity for sampling the Montreal vibe.

If it's cold, do your shopping in the underground. If it's warmer, walk up St. Hubert for the small designers trying to make it big.

    Hope that helps...
