I am 19 years old, going to Montreal for a few days this week.  I have a drivers license, but the corners have been cut and is no longer valid.  Do you think I will have a hard time getting served in Montreal?  And if so, are there any places that are known not to card?

    Hello LaTasha -

Drinking age here is 18.  A driver's license is only ONE form of identification.  Depending on your form of transportation you will need a passport to return home.  Your passport will prove your age.

LaTasha -- I rarely get carded and I've got an ID. Bars on streets like Crescent and upscale clubs are going to be stricter, but I'll bet you'll be able to get away with it. Do you have any other ID? If you've got anything with your bday on it, even if it's a school ID, that should help!
